Based on the results of the study, it shows that the subject has high self-efficacy in the field of science that is currently being undertaken. This can be seen in the seriousness of the subject towards the lecture materials and the efforts of the subject in dealing with difficulties in lecture assignments. Subjects have a high level of self-confidence in carrying out assignments in lectures. For the subject, although there are many difficulties in doing these tasks, the subject has high confidence to always be able to do the given task. Keywords: Academic self-efficacy, Students ABSTRAKTantangan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi proses belajar mengajar cukup beragam sehingga beragam pula cara penanganan mahasiswa tersebut untuk menghadapinya. High perceived academic self-efficacy influences both subject performance and emotions of the subject. In turn, dispositional empathy implies a social and emotional adaptability towards the subject itself and those around them. This study aimed to analyze the differences in the mean dispositional empathy factors (i.e., perspective taking, fantasy, empathic concern and personal distress) between future teachers with high and low perceived academic self-efficacy, as well as the predictive capacity of dispositional empathy on high perceived academic self-efficacy, and the correlations between both dimensions. For this, a sample of 805 Spanish students of the Faculties of Education of the Universities of Alicante and Murcia was recruited. The Escala de Autoeficacia Percibida Específica de Situaciones Académicas was used to assess perceived academic self-efficacy and the Interpersonal Reactivity Index was used to analyze the dimensions of dispositional empathy. It was observed that high academic self-efficacy is more likely to present in people with a high level of perspective taking and fantasy (OR = 1.06 and 1.09, respectively) and less for those with personal discomfort (OR = 0.86). The other analyzes provided the same conclusions. In conclusion, it is important to develop perceived academic self-efficacy in undergraduates and future teachers due to the consequences that can lead to their classrooms.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Education, through circular letter number 4 of 2020, notifies that the learning process is carried out from home through online learning. The time allocation carried out in online learning during the pandemic is shorter than the previous conventional learning. In the learning process, academic self-efficacy is very important. Through clear goals and self-confidence, academic self-efficacy can determine the success of academic behavior in the future. This article describes the research results on the effect of student self-efficacy on student learning outcomes in class X IPS SMAN 1 Sidoarjo on economics subjects in online learning. This type of research is explanatory and uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 109 students of class X Social Sciences at SMA Negeri 1 Sidoarjo. In comparison, the sample in this study was 85 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis, which includes prerequisite analysis tests (normality test and linearity test) and simple regression analysis. IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARANPENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DENGAN PENDEKATANKONTEKSTUAL SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KUALITASPEMBELAJARAN DI SMP NEGERI 13 KOTA MALANGOleh :Romlah *)Fakultas Agama Islam UMMABSTRACTIslamic Education teaching and learning process considerably applied traditional teaching modelsresulting low student’s interest in the subject. The study revealed that most teachersdeveloped instructional material merely based on Teacher Association for Islamic EducationReference, a discrepancy between lesson plan and the implementation was found due to insufficienttime and too-much material, and a problem in applying various methods was found due to student’sbasic competence diversity ranging from the 75-80% to 20-25% mastery creating less conduciveatmosphere for effective teaching and learning process. Accordingly, Islamic Education teachersneeded to review the previous materials using questioning technique and point particular students toanswer the questions during the review time to attract more attention. Keywords: Implementation of IslamicEducation Teaching Model, ContextualApproach, Improving the Teaching andLearning Process

There are various factors influencing a student’s academic achievement at any level, either primary, secondary or tertiary. These factors include attitudes, learning techniques, general interest in the subject matter, factors related to teacher, family or friends, previous achievements, teaching and learning environment and facilities, infrastructure, and teaching methods. This article explores factors affecting the achievement of student of a course offered in the economic program of universitiutaramalaysia. For this article, a total of 220 students who registered for macroeconomics course at universitiutaramalaysia were randomly selected to be the study sample. of the 220 responses, only 211 were analysed because some questionnaire forms was returned with incomplete information. these students consist of second, third and fourth year students. The study found that among the items in the lecturer preparation factor which came with high mean scores is the item "lecturer shows dedication in teaching". There is no denying that teaching and learning methods incorporating the latest technology and trends are desirable but the study shows that teaching using longstanding approach like using whiteboards is still preferable among students and gives the highest mean value of 7.44, which is a high level score. In terms of learning techniques, the study found that students are not consistent between the goals to achieve excellence with the appropriate effort taken by them. although they want to achieve high excellence in this subject but their efforts and actions are not inclined to that desire

BackgroundCreating a conducive environment for learning cultivates engaged and independent learners, allowing for high-level learning (Warren, 2004). When assessing the diverse Psychology courses that exist, the evaluation of Research Methods (RM) teaching and its associated pedagogies is high on the agenda of college based Higher Education (Burton & Schonfield, 2011). ObjectiveThis study aimed at exploring what range of teaching and learning activities (TLA’s) promote effective learning of RM among Psychology students. Additionally, it aimed to understand, from a student perspective, what ‘effective learning’ meant in the context of RM. MethodA mixed methods approach comprising of both surveys as well as focus groups was conducted with undergraduate Psychology students. Thematic analysis and basic frequencies were used to analyse data. Results Results demonstrated that both student and teacher-led activities were beneficial and worked complementarily for students in their understanding of the subject whilst serving different purposes. Practical labs and class exercises were the top activities highlighted (student-led) followed by lectures and flow chart concept checks (teacher-led). Furthermore, ‘effective learning’ encapsulated not just a long-term knowledge acquisition of concepts but the ability to apply one’s knowledge to the wider context. Conclusion and teaching implication Findings are in line with the Conception of Learning which has a nested hierarchy consisting of both surface learning elements and deep learning (Marton,Dall’Alba & Beaty, 1993). RM has been identified as a difficult subject to teach as well for students to learn (Gray et al., 2015) and as a result this study teases apart some of the most beneficial techniques from a student perspective to be considered when designing the structure and delivery of RM courses.
