Throws and catches in rhythmic gymnastics represent one of the fundamental groups of apparatus actuation. They represent for the hoop actions of great showmanship, but also elements of risk. The purpose of this paper is to improve the throw execution technique through biomechanical analysis in order to increase the performance of female gymnasts in competitions. The subjects of this study were 8 gymnasts aged 9-10 years old, practiced performance Rhythmic Gymnastics. The experiment consisted in video recording and the biomechanical analysis of the element “Hoop throw, step jump and catch”. After processing the video recordings using the Simi Motion software, we have calculated and obtained values concerning: launch height, horizontal distance and throwing angle between the arm and the horizontal. Pursuant to the data obtained, we have designed a series of means to improve the execution technique for the elements comprised within the research and we have implemented them in the training process. Regarding the interpretation of the results, it may be highlighted as follows: height and horizontal distance in this element have values of the correlation coefficient of 0.438 and 0.323, thus a mean significance of 0.005. The values of the arm/horizontal angle have improved for all the gymnasts, the correlation coefficient being 0.931, with a significance of 0.01. As a general conclusion, after the results obtained, it may be stated that the means introduced in the experiment have proven their efficacy, which has led to the optimisation of the execution technique, thus confirming the research hypothesis.

В настоящей статье рассматривается хакасский традиционный праздничный костюм как культурный феномен и материальный носитель орнамента и прочих культурных кодов, знаковых для национальной идентичности. Проблема изучения и сохранения традиций в вышивке хакасских орнаментов заключается в старении мастеров и слабой преемственности поколений, а также в плохой сохранности текстильного материала в археологических находках. Цель автора заключается в систематизации видов хакасского криволинейного орнамента в народном костюме, а также в анализе орнамента как упорядоченной системы знаков, опирающейся на мифологические основания и константы этнической культуры. В результате автор отмечает в технологии хакасской вышивки несколько видов декоративных швов, общих для кочевых народов Средней Азии, Казахстана, Южной Сибири, Дальнего Востока и Китая. Определены цветовые решения контура и середины орнамента, техника выполнения и материал. В семантическом контексте орнамента отмечены растительные и зооморфные мотивы с устойчивыми художественными характеристиками. В статье описаны композиционные решения, цвет, ритм элементов орнамента в их символическом контексте. Результаты исследования могут быть использованы как в образовательных программах, так и в проектах по сохранению художественных ремесел и традиционной хакасской культуры в целом. The article is devoted to the Khakass traditional costume as a cultural phenomenon and a material carrier of ornament and other cultural codes that are symbolic for national identity. The problem of studying and preserving the traditions in embroidery of Khakass ornaments lies in the aging of craftsmen and poor continuity of generations, as well as in the poor preservation of textile material in archaeological finds. The purpose of the article is to systematize the types of the Khakass curved ornament in a folk costume, as well as to analyze the ornament as an ordered system of signs based on mythological foundations and constants of ethnic culture. As a result, the author notes in the Khakass embroidery technology several types of decorative seams common to the nomadic peoples of Central Asia, Kazakhstan, South Siberia, the Far East and China. The article identifies the color scheme of the contour and the middle of the ornament, the execution technique and the material. In the semantic context of the ornament, the author notes floral and zoomorphic motifs with stable artistic characteristics. The article describes compositional decisions, color, rhythm of elements of an ornament in their symbolic context. The results of the study are important for educational programs and can be used in projects to preserve art crafts and traditional Khakass culture in general.

The need to insert the durability factor on dimensioning concrete structures has been stimulating the development of new models to predict the service life of those structures. Among those new models, the use of data from Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is recommended. It is known that electrical resistivity is a parameter related with permeability and, in consequence, with the resistance of the concrete against the intrusion of aggressive agents. Electrical resistivity may be monitored with time by a NDT method, by a low cost and easy execution technique. However, some parameters of this essay need to be further discussed in the literature aiming to standardize this technique. Thus, this study had the goal to verify the influence of test specimen’s shape in measurements of electrical resistivity. In order to that, cylindrical and prismatic test specimens have been molded from a same type of concrete and electrical resistivity was monitored during a period of 120 days. Results show significant differences between the values obtained. Test specimens in cylindrical shape had the higher results. A good correlation between factors was found with R2 higher than 0.94.
