In Chelyabinsk from January 2020 the method of 24-hour pH-impedance-monitoring of the esophagus was introduced. The analysis of diagnostic possibilities of this research even on a small initial sample of patients confirms high informativeness of the method in the section of diseases of the upper parts of the gastrointestinal tract. The combination of parameters of daily recording of pH-impedanceograms allows reliable identification of gastroesophageal refl ux disease (GERD) and functional dyspepsia. The tasks of differentiating the nosological affiliation of symptoms (heartburn, burning, chest pain, lump in the throat, voice axis, cough) arise for doctors of different specialties: gastroenterologists, otolaryngologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists. Comparing the complaints noted by the patient with episodes of the bolus hitting the esophagus, we get the opportunity to calculate the probability of association of symptoms with refl uxes, and thus correctly route the “complex” patient. Thus, the daily pH-impedanceometry demonstrates high diagnostic capabilities and allows us to reliably distinguish the pathological gastroesophageal refl ux from functional heartburn. Conducting research at the stage of diagnosis and during treatment makes the technique an effective tool for quality control of the therapeutic solution in each clinical situation.

The increase in bacterial resistance to antimicrobials is one of the most serious medical problems, therefore reliable identification in microbiological laboratories is important. The Polish National External Quality Assessment Scheme in Microbiological Diagnostics – POLMICRO programme is organized by the Centre of Quality Control in Microbiology (CQCM) enables the assessment of the competence of Polish microbiological laboratories in the field of identification, determination of susceptibility and detection of drug resistance mechanisms. This work presents the assessment of the results of identification and determination of S. pneumoniae antimicrobial susceptibility obtained by Polish laboratories during the 20 years of experience of the POLMICRO programme.

Information about data quality helps potential data users to determine whether and how data can be used and enables the analysis and interpretation of such data. Providing data quality information improves opportunities for data reuse by increasing the trustworthiness of the data. Recognizing the need for improving the quality of citizen science data, we describe quality assessment and quality control (QA/QC) issues for these data and offer perspectives on aspects of improving or ensuring citizen science data quality and for conducting research on related issues.

Abstract. The industrial competition requires companies to produce high-quality products, but the phenomenon is that companies still produce products that do not meet specifications and are returned by customers. This is the basis for conducting research aimed at analyzing the implementation of quality control, knowing the main defects of the product, and making improvements to reduce or eliminate problems during the production process using the Six Sigma approach with steps: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. The research sample is the result of the final product inspection in April - September 2019. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of Quality control has been carried out but not maximally, with the root causes of the main defects being method, material, and machine. CTO in this research are: foreign body contamination, leak packaging, product temperature exceeds the standard, over drip, and thick fat. After improving, there was an increase in sigma level from 3.48 (performance baseline) to 3.83. Control is carried out to maintain consistency of corrective actions by regular briefings to operators, increasing GMP training, 5S, and product knowledge, standardizing SOP changes, adding necessary tools, and controlling preventive maintenance implementation. Keywords: Quality control, six sigma, wagyu, defect product, DMAIC

AbstractWe sought to address the prior limitations of symptom checker accuracy by analysing the diagnostic and triage feasibility of online symptom checkers using a consecutive series of real-life emergency department (ED) patient encounters, and addressing a complex patient population – those with hepatitis C or HIV. We aimed to study the diagnostic and triage accuracy of these symptom checkers in relation to an emergency room physician-determined diagnosis. An ED retrospective analysis was performed on 8363 consecutive adult patients. Eligible patients included: 90 HIV, 67 hepatitis C, 11 both HIV and hepatitis C. Five online symptom checkers were utilised for diagnosis (Mayo Clinic, WebMD, Symptomate, Symcat, Isabel), three with triage capabilities. Symptom checker output was compared with ED physician-determined diagnosis data in regards to diagnostic accuracy and differential diagnosis listing, along with triage advice. All symptom checkers, whether for combined HIV and hepatitis C, HIV alone or hepatitis C alone had poor diagnostic accuracy in regards to Top1 (<20%), Top3 (<35%), Top10 (<40%), Listed at All (<45%). Significant variations existed for each individual symptom checker, as some appeared more accurate for listing the diagnosis in the top of the differential, vs. others more apt to list the diagnosis at all. In regards to ED triage data, a significantly higher percentage of hepatitis C patients (59.7%; 40/67) were found to have an initial diagnosis with emergent criteria than HIV patients (35.6%; 32/90). Symptom checker diagnostic capabilities are quite inferior to physician diagnostic capabilities. Complex patients such as those with HIV or hepatitis C may carry a more specific differential diagnosis, warranting symptom checkers to have diagnostic algorithms accounting for such complexity. Symptom checkers carry the potential for real-time epidemiologic monitoring of patient symptoms, as symptom entries and subsequent symptom checker diagnosis could allow health officials a means to track illnesses in specific patient populations and geographic regions. In order to do this, accurate and reliable symptom checkers are warranted.

The authors consider the current state of the issue of the diagnostic capabilities of vital and postmortem determination of the biological age of the individual on the basis of morphological variability of bone and cartilage structures of the body, teeth, nails, skin. They note that despite almost century of experience in conducting research to determine the age of corpses and individual, there are a lot of unlit moments. Macroscopic morphological methods of assessing external parameters have insufficient accuracy. Some methods have a large, others - a smaller error in setting the age. This demonstrates the significance of further development of new research techniques to increase the methods used in forensic medicine in order to more accurately determine a person's biological age.

Currently, the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) Economics Department is conducting research in the framework of studying the relationships, the degree and nature and strength of influence and impact in the Russia economic and social development planes and the complex of property relations (including state cadastral valuation, regulatory regulation of valuation activities and land management policy). The study is conducted in stages and consistently on the open sources basis. The purpose of this stage is to study the impact of the examination and quality control of the state cadastral assessment (SCA) on the Russia socio-economic development over the past two decades. The tasks are to collect statistical data on SCA for the last two years, to analyze the effectiveness of SCA quality control, to develop recommendations and suggestions for improving the SCA results.
