[CHLOROPHYL CONCENTRATION AND YIELD OF PAKCOY (Brassica rapa L.) AFTER TWO YEARS OF BIOCHAR AND ORGANIC FERTILIZER APPLICATION IN ENTISOLS]. While nitrogen is necessary throughout the growth of vegetable plants, N deficiency disrupts chlorophyll formation, and hence, affecting the photosynthesis process. This study aimed to study the impact of the use of biochar and organic fertilizers on chlorophyll content and yield of Pak coy mustard in the third planting season in Entisols. This research was conducted in Bawang Hamlet, Tunggulwulung Village, Malang City. The first and second planting seasons, were May-November 2017 and August 2018-January 2019, respectively. Research on the third planting season was carried out in July-August 2019 without nitrogen fertilization. The research was arranged in a randomized block design, consisting of controls (Kl), chicken manure (A), compost (K), rice husk biochar (S), rice husk biochar + chicken manure (SA), rice husk biochar + compost (SK). The results showed that after two years of application, biochar and organic fertilizers had a positive impact on the increase in yield of Pakcoy even though fertilizer was not provided. The application of biochar and compost provided the best residual effect on the total chlorophyll of Pakcoy mustard.

The Effect of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizers on The Growth and Results of Green Mustard (Brassica rapa L.). Green mustard (Brassica rapa L.) is a vegetable that preferred by many consumers, this causes many farmers cultivate this vegetables. One of the important factor in the cultivation of green mustard is fertilizer type. Alternative to improve soil quality and fertility is by providing organic matter. A field research was conducted to evaluate the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield of green mustard, in Banjar Taman Tande, Baturiti Village, Bedugul from April to June 2018. This study was designed with a Randomized Block Design with nested patterns consisting of two factors. The first factor was the type of fertilizer, which was consisted of four types of organic fertilizer, namely: vermicompost, cow manure, chicken manure, goat manure and inorganic fertilizers (NPK Mutiara). The second factor was fertilizer dosage, which was consisted of three levels, namely: 0 tons/ha, 15 tons/ha, and 30 tons/ha, while for NPK Mutiara fertilizer dosages, namely: 0 kg/ha, 150 kg/ha, and 300 kg/ha.The results showed that the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers were not significantly different on the growth and yield of green mustard plants and RAE values. The total N content of soil on vermicompost treatment was 0.23% equal to NPK Mutiara. The total population of soil microbes on vermicompost treatment under dosage of 15 tons/ha and 30 tons/ha were 1.4 x 106 cfu/g that was much higher compared to NPK Mutiara 150 kg/ha fertilizer (0.3 x 106 cfu/g).

This study aims to determine the growth response and yield of chrysanthemum plants in the application of several types of mulch and organic fertilizer. This research uses the basic design of Randomized Block Design with the factorial pattern with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is mulch treatment consisting of 3 levels ie without mulch, rice husk mulch, and black silver plastic mulch. The second factor is organic fertilizer consists of 3 levels namely petrogenic, cow manure and chicken manure. The research results showed that the highest weight of flower stalk was obtained in silver black mulch treatment, increase of 9.63% when compared with the weight of the lowest flower stalk. The highest economic fresh weight was obtained in mulch treatment, increase of 17.53% when compared with the lowest fresh economic weight on mulch rice husk mulch treatment weighing. The highest weight of the flower stalk was obtained in the treatment of cow manure, increased of 10.14% when compared with the lowest weight of the flower stalk obtained in the treatment of cow manure weighing. The highest economic fresh weight was obtained in the cow manure treatment, which increased by 9.91% when compared with the lowest fresh economic interest weight obtained in the treatment of petrogenic fertilizer weighing. <em>The growth of cacao in acid soils is commonly limited by some problems such as low available P and pH, and high Al saturation. Therefore, research is needed to solve the problem of coffee cultivation in acid soil. This study aimed to determine the effect of ameliorant, phosphate solubilizing microbes (PSM), and phosphate fertilizers (P) on the growth and nutrient uptake of cacao seedlings, and some acid soil properties. The study used a randomized block design with 3 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was ameliorant applications (without ameliorant, 10% organic fertilizer, 4% rice husk biochar, 4% rice husk biochar + 10% organic fertilizer). The second factor was PSM applications: without PSM, Burkholderia ambifaria (BPF) inoculants, and Aspergillus niger (FPF) inoculants. The third factor was P fertilizers applications (without Phosphate Rock (PR), 100, 200, and 400 mg P/kg of PR, and 400 mg P/kg of SP-36). The results showed that the applications of 4% rice husk biochar + 10% organic fertilizer + BPF or FPF inoculants increase the number of leaves by 77.9% and 69.2%, respectively, and increase the dry weight of shoot by 93.6 % and 101.9%, respectively. Phosphate rock application in media without organic fertilizer increases dry weight of shoots and roots of cacao seedlings, and the uptake of P, Ca, and Mg in shoots linearly in line with the increase of PR dose to 400 mg P/kg. Application of rice husk biochar significantly increased the acid phosphatase activity of growing media. Meanwhile, organic fertilizer increased the soil pH, acid phosphatase and available P activity, and decreased Al-dd growing media.</em>

Biochar improves soil quality physicochemical. Biochar is a soil amendment created through the burning of biomass, has a potential solution for wide-ranging environmental management problems. Biochar has been shown to have positive outcomes on soil function to sequester carbon to slow the effects of global climate change. The objective of this research was to study the impact of compost biochar in increasing rice yields in tropical swampland. The design used in this study was a randomized block design, including (1) biochom 1 (without harvest waste compost + without biochar rice husk), (2) Biochom 2 (harvest waste compost 5 t/ha), (3) biochom 3 (rice husk biochar 5 t/ha), (4) biochom 4 (a combination of harvest waste compost 2.5 t/ ha + rice husk biochar 2.5 t/ha). The results showed that application of biochom 4 (a combination of harvest waste compost 2.5 t/ha + rice husk biochar 2.5 t/ha) increased of rice yield reached 15.21% compared to biochom 2 treatment (compost harvest waste 5 t/ha) and reached 17.78% with biochom 3 treatment (rice husk biochar 5 t/ha), compost without biochar treatment.

This research aims to know the effect interaction of application of types and different dosage of organic fertilizers on production and fruit quality of melons on peatlands, effect of application of types and different dosage of organic fertilizers on production and fruit quality of melons on peatlands, and the agronomic efficiency of the use of several types and different dosage of organic fertilizers on production of melons on peatlands. This research design was used as a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consists of two factors with 4 replication. The first factor consisted of types of organic fertilizer (P) i.e. chicken manure (PA), guano manure (PG), and cow manure (PS). The second factor consisted of fertilizer dosage (D) i.e. 0 tons ha-1 (without fertilization, called control), D1 = 15 tons ha-1, D2 = 30 tons ha-1 and D3 = 45 tons ha-1. The data obtained by analysis of variance (ANOVA) or F test at a = 5% and 1% levels to determine the effect of treatment was tested further by HSD (honestly significant difference) testat the level of 5%. The result shows that the interaction type of organic fertilizer and the dosage of organic fertilizer treatment significant effect on the weight of the melon. Chicken manure is the best organic fertilizer on the size and quality of the melon. Dosage of 45 tons ha-1 organic fertilizer gave the highest results but it was not significantly different with a dosage of 30 tons ha-1. The use of chicken manure fertilizer of 30 tons ha-1 is more efficient in agronomy in increasing melons yield on peatlands.

The study aimed to determine the effect of various organic fertilizers on growth and yield of several varieties of upland rice, and the response of upland rice varieties to organic fertilizers under the stands of oil palm trees have not produced (TBM). The researches conducted in March until July 2016. This study was a randomized block design factorial trial with two factors and three replications, the first factor was some upland rice variety consist of ; Inpago 8 (V1), Situ Bagendit (V2), and Inpago 9 (V3) and the second factor was the variety of organic fertilizers such as; without organic fertilizer (BO0), compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches (BO1), chicken manure (BO2), Kirinyuh or green manure (BO3). Data were analyzed by ANOVA and a further test of Duncan’s multiple range test (DNMRT) level of 5%. The results showed that the varieties Situ Bagendit gave the best response to organic fertilizer by weight of dry milled grain at 4.6 tonnes/ha in the giving of chicken manure.

Non-dairy creamer sewage sludge (NDCSS) has high organic matter and nutrients for compost production but NDCSS has a problem for the composting process because it has high moisture and slurry form. Therefore, the composting process of NDCSS requires mixing of other organic materials such as solid compost biogas (SCB) and rice husk char (RHC). Therefore, this study aims to determine the chemical properties of compost from a mixture combination of NDCSS, SCB, and RHC, and to assess compost quality as organic fertilizer from a mixture combination of NDCSS, SCB, and RHC through growth and yield of bok choy mustard (Brassica rapa L). Experiments were carried out in greenhouses from March to September 2019. The research treatment consisted of 7 treatments mixture combination of NDCSS, SCB, and RHC for the composting process, and each treatment was repeated 4 times. The composting process is carried out by anaerobic or fermentation methods. The research layout was used as a randomized complete block design (RCBD). The NDCSS can produce compost with the highest N content, while the RHC will produce compost with the highest P. The mixture combination of NDCSS, SCB, RHC, and the mixture combination of SCB and RC will produce compost with the highest K content. Compost from NDCSS produces the best organic fertilizer because it is able to make the best biomass wet weight and dry weight of bok choy mustard biomass.

Abstract The field trial was carried out in 2016 and 2017 on the grounds of the Botanical Garden of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. The aim of the paper was to test the impact of new organic fertilizers from Company Rokosan on the yield parameters and the morphological and phenological properties of tomatoes. In the experiments, we observed two determinant varieties, namely ‘Brixol F1’ and ‘Uno Rosso F1’. We used the bulk organic fertilizer Rokosan P, designed for fruiting vegetables, and the liquid fertilizer Rokohumin Z. Both forms of fertilizers are produced as organic biomineral fertilizers, their main ingredient being keratin. They contain 9% N, 9% P2O5, 9% K2O, 3% MgO and trace elements. The total harvest in the control variant without fertilization was the lowest compared to the fertilized variants. The second variant was fertilized with the Rokosan P fertilizer, and the harvests were in both years and in both varieties higher than in the variant 1. The third variant was fertilized with the Rokohumin Z, the liquid fertilizer and achieved the best crop yields per plant. For the ‘Uno Rosso F1’ the best total harvest weight was 7.2 kg per plant in 2016 and 8.96 in 2017. For the ‘Brixol F1’, the highest harvest was 8.14 kg per plant in 2016 and 9.24 kg in 2017. In terms of yields and the number of fruits, combined fertilization with the bulk fertilizer Rokosan P and the liquid fertilizer Rokohumin Z reached the second highest values.

Shallot is one of important horticultural crops in Indonesia; shallot consumption per capita is estimated to be 4.6 kg per year. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of combining biofertilizer and organic fertilizer on the production of shallot in Sukabanjar village, Pesawaran, Lampung, Indonesia. The study was set up using a randomized completely block design with two factors, biofertilizers and various organic fertilizers, i.e. cow manure, chicken manure, rice straw compost, oyster mushroom baglog.  Our study demonstrated that combining biofertilizer and organic fertilizer significantly increased the number, diameter, and fresh and dry weight of tubers of “Bima Brebes” shallot. Shallots treated with biofertilizer combined with oyster mushroom baglog produced the highest tuber yield of 1788 g compared to 282 g in the control.

The low level of farms income from agricultural sector mainly happens in dry season had to inappropriate soil cultivation. The utilization of soil for brick ste manufacturing is one of this case. The excavation process occurs on top soil inflicting degradation of soil fertility. Soil in the impact of this condition has a problem in providing chemical element for the agriculture, especially the lack of N. One of alternative attempts to increase the soil fertility in providing N on formerly brick ste excavation-soil is by supplying Petroganik fertilizer and compost. Petroganik and compost is an organic fertilizer containing N, P, K, the other nutrient, similar to the other organic fertilizers. The aims of the research are to determine the effect Petroganik fertilizer and compost application on N uptake and toward the growth of corn on former brick ste excavation-soil, and to know the chosen dosage which is resulting in growth and N uptake of corn. Research used is Random Block Design with 9 treatment and 3 replication. Dosage of treatment T0 : Control, Petroganik (14, 17, 20, 23) t/ha and compost (14, 17, 20, 23) t/ha. Indicator plant was used Hybrid Corn BISI 2. The result of experiment showed that : 1. Significant effect in increasing uptake of N the corn. The treatment of Petroganik 17 t/ha (P2) increasing 145 % and compost 14 t/ha (P2) increasing 93.8 %, 2. Insignificant effect on plant growth (height, number of leaf) However, it gives significant effect on dry weight of the corn biomass. The treatment Petroganik 17 t/ha (P2), increases 101.45 %, 3. The application of Petroganik fertilizer is more effective in increasing the growth and N uptake of corn than that of compost since the application of 17 t/ha of Petroganik has already increased the N uptake and growth of corn .
