Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi dari bulan April sampai bulan juni 2017 dengan tujuan Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kompos Azolla microphylla terhadap pertumbuhan bibit karet (Hevea brasiliensis) stum mata tidur di pembibitan. dan Mengetahui dosis terbaik pupuk kompos Azolla microphylla terhadap pertumbuhan bibit karet (Hevea brasiliensis) stum mata tidur di pembibitan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 dosis perlakuan konsentrasi yakni (a0) Tanpa pemberian pupuk kompos azolla microphillya, (a1) 50 g kompos azolla microphylla/polybeg (a2) 100 g kompos azolla microphylla/polybeg (a3) 150 g kompos azolla microphylla/polybeg (a4) 200 g kompos azolla microphylla/polybeg. Setiap perlakuan terdiri atas 4 ulangan, dan setiap ulangan terdiri atas 4 tanaman dan 3 tanaman diambil sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian pupuk kompos Azolla microphylla pada bibit karet (Hevea brasiliensis) stum mata tidur berbeda nyata terhadap parameter yang diamati yakni waktu kuncul mentis,tinggi tunas tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter tunas, jumlah akar, bobot kering akar, dan bobot kering tajuk. Pemberian kompos Azolla Microphylla yang menunjukkan adanya respon tanaman karet stum mata tidur terbaik terdapat pada pemberian kompos Azolla Microphylla dengan dosis 100 g/polibeg.

In Spain doctoral studies underwent a major legal reform in 1998. The new legislation has brought together the criteria, norms, rules, and study certificates in universities throughout the country, both public and private. A brief description is presented here of the planning and structuring of doctoral programs, which have two clearly differentiated periods: teaching and research. At the end of the 2-year teaching program, the individual and personal phase of preparing one's doctoral thesis commences. However, despite efforts by the state to regulate these studies and to achieve greater efficiency, critical judgment is in order as to whether the envisioned aims are being achieved, namely, that students successfully complete their doctoral studies. After this analysis, we make proposals for the future aimed mainly at the individual period during which the thesis is written, a critical phase in obtaining the doctor's degree. Not enough attention has been given to this in the existing legislation.

The conditions are investigated in which Spanish university teachers carry out their teaching and research functions. 655 teachers from the University of Oviedo took part in this study by completing the Academic Setting Evaluation Questionnaire (ASEQ). Of the three dimensions assessed in the ASEQ, Satisfaction received the lowest ratings, Social Climate was rated higher, and Relations with students was rated the highest. These results are similar to those found in two studies carried out in the academic years 1986/87 and 1989/90. Their relevance for higher education is twofold because these data can be used as a complement of those obtained by means of students' opinions, and the crossing of both types of data can facilitate decision making in order to improve the quality of the work (teaching and research) of the university institutions.


This book is devoted to the life and academic legacy of Mustafa Badawi who transformed the study of modern Arabic literature in the second half of the twentieth century. Prior to the 1960s the study of Arabic literature, both classical and modern, had barely been emancipated from the academic approaches of orientalism. The appointment of Badawi as Oxford University's first lecturer in modern Arabic literature changed the face of this subject as Badawi showed, through his teaching and research, that Arabic literature was making vibrant contributions to global culture and thought. Part biography, part collection of critical essays, this book celebrates Badawi's immense contribution to the field and explores his role as a public intellectual in the Arab world and the west.

An investigation had been done to Tetragonula (Tetragona) sp nest at Indralaya, South Sumatra to describe the Tetragonula sp nest that use streetlight pole as nest medium during April - May 2019. Purpossive sampling is used to select the target nest. Two streetlight pole found be used by Tetragonula sp as their home. The coordinate of location, heght from ground surface, diameter of streetlight pole, air temperature and humidity, and floral species around nest, were noted. Spot coordinate are S 30 14’ 19.2498’’ and E 1040 39’ 15,3288’’ ; 1,5 m above the ground surface, 12 cm diameter pole, highest air temperature was 35 o C at daylight (April and May 2019), 80 – 90 % humidity at April-May 2019; which Switenia macrophyla, Hevea brasiliensis, Zea mays, and Citrullus lanatus floral species are planted around. Air temperature in the pole is very high, around 40 0 C during daylight.

This qualitative study investigates how faculty gather information for teaching and research and their opinions on open access approaches to scholarly communication. Despite generally favorable reactions, a perceived lack of peer review and impact factors were among the most common reasons for not publishing through open-access forums.Cette étude qualitative examine comment les membres du corps professoral recueillent l’information pour l’enseignement et la recherche, et leurs opinions envers les approches de la communication scientifique à libre accès. Malgré des réactions généralement favorables, le manque perçu de révision par les pairs et les facteurs d’impact comptent parmi les motifs habituellement évoqués pour ne pas publier sur ces tribunes à libre accès.
