Transyogi Road is the main road used by transportation originating from the Depok city, Bogor district, Bekasi city and Bekasi district. The Transyogi Road and the networks connected to it have experienced a significant increase in traffic density each year, this fact is based on the indicator level of the VC ratio on the Transyogi and surrounding road segments which have reached 0.8 at busy times. With the increase in trips generated from Bekasi Regency and an increase in residential density in Depok and Bogor, it has the potential to increase generation and the traffic attraction from and to the area is affecting by the construction of the Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road. This Traffic Impact Analysis aims to predict the impact of the construction of the Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll Road on the Jatikarya exit, and determine the form of improvement needed, harmonize the decisions regarding land use with traffic conditions, the number and location of access, and alternative improvements . This study method uses 4 (four) transportation modeling, analysis of road capacity, vehicle speed .. From the results of this study, it was concluded that before the toll road the Transyogi road had a performance with a V / C ratio of 0.8 and an average speed of 20 km / hour (if do nothing), while after the exit of the jatikarya toll was operated the V / C ratio was 0.7 and the average speed is 23 km / h (do nothing). While the performance of Transyogi road in the design year 2025 without performing geometric improvements (do nothing) has a road performance with a V / C ratio of 0.98 and an average speed of 12-13 km / hr. While if performance changes are made with capacity building traffic management arrangements, predictive traffic conditions in 2025 traffic performance will be obtained with a v / c ratio of an average of 0.7 with an average speed of 26 km / hour (do something).

Traffic Impact Analysis (Andalalin) as a special study on the construction of any buildings and other land use of the city's transportation system, especially the road network in the building. In order to support it, hotels, malls and so on were built. Along with those development would lead to changes in land use, for example, change of land designation that turned into centers of activity. Implementation traffic impact analysis (andalalin) in Sidoarjo did not maximal yet. There are some weaknesses, namely the gap between legislation and implementation. Residential areas with a density high enough such as offices, shops and trade, hotels, hospitals, schools, industrial and sports stadiums. This problem can be solved by traffic impact analysis prior to the issuance of building permits (IMB) and some were after. In addition, traffic management as an approach also be designed to deal with the impact of the trip was awakened to the existing road network.

In this paper, an extension of spatial channel model (SCM) for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication channel in roadside scattering environment is investigated for the first time theoretically and by simulations. Subsequently, to efficiently describe the roadside scattering environment and reflect the nonstationary properties of V2V channels, the proposed SCM V2V model divides the scattering objects into three categories of clusters according to the location of effective scatterers by introducing critical distance. We derive general expressions for the most important statistical properties of V2V channels, such as channel impulse response, power spectral density, angular power density, autocorrelation function, and Doppler spread of the proposed model. The impact of vehicle speed, traffic density, and angle of departure, angle of arrival, and other statistical performances on the V2V channel model is thoroughly discussed. Numerical simulation results are presented to validate the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed model.

This paper presents the development, implementation, and evaluation of predictive active transportation and demand management (ATDM) and weather-responsive traffic management (WRTM) strategies to support operations for weather-affected traffic conditions with traffic estimation and prediction system models. First, the problem is defined as a dynamic process of traffic system evolution under the impact of operational conditions and management strategies (interventions). A list of research questions to be addressed is provided. Second, a systematic framework for implementing and evaluating predictive weather-related ATDM strategies is illustrated. The framework consists of an offline model that simulates and evaluates the traffic operations and an online model that predicts traffic conditions and transits information to the offline model to generate or adjust traffic management strategies. Next, the detailed description and the logic design of ATDM and WRTM strategies to be evaluated are proposed. To determine effectiveness, the selection of strategy combination and sensitivity of operational features are assessed with a series of experiments implemented with a locally calibrated network in the Chicago, Illinois, area. The analysis results confirm the models’ ability to replicate observed traffic patterns and to evaluate the system performance across operational conditions. The results confirm the effectiveness of the predictive strategies tested in managing and improving traffic performance under adverse weather conditions. The results also verify that, with the appropriate operational settings and synergistic combination of strategies, weather-related ATDM strategies can generate maximal effectiveness to improve traffic performance.

The congestion at the PLN intersection Kaliurang street Km 8 is the reason of Unofficial Officers or so-called "Pak Ogah" act as traffic regulators or assist in the movement of driving from minor roads to major roads. Therefore, the objective of the study was to determine the impact of Unofficial Officers on the performance of intersections. The survey was conducted for 3 days which were volume survey, a survey of vehicle speed, driving behavior, and length of the queue. VISSIM modeling analysis results showed that using signals was better than existing conditions with a decrease in the average delay value of 18.44% and a decrease in the average queue length of 80.34%. Meanwhile, the condition of intersections with unofficial officers decreased by an average delay of 22.10% compared to existing conditions. However, the average queued length by unofficial officers increased by 22.54% compared to existing conditions. Although the results of delays with Unofficial Officers were better than other conditions, arrangements by unofficial officers had many conflicts, creating the risk of accidents at the intersection.

[ACCESS RESTRICTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT AUTHOR'S REQUEST.] This dissertation research focuses on modeling traffic conditions affected by disruptive events such as work zones, incidents, and hurricanes. Using a combination of field data and simulation experiments, this research tried to address the relationship between disruptive events and their impact on traffic conditions and driver behavior. The first half of the dissertation assesses the impact of work zones. First, a data-driven assessment of the traffic impact of work zones using different data sources was conducted. A tool was developed for practitioners to estimate the delay and travel times of planned work zones. Second, traffic flow and speed prediction models were developed for work zones in order to assist with the better scheduling of work activity. Machine learning approaches were used to develop the prediction models. In addition to work zone effects, the effects of another special event, baseball gameday conditions, were also studied and traffic prediction models were developed. Third, using naturalistic driving study data, classification algorithms categorized work zone events into crashes, nearcrashes, and baseline conditions. In the second half of the dissertation, the focus shifts to the effect of emergency on evacuation. Two chapters in this section present the results of different traffic management strategies -- 1) contraflow crossover and ramp closure optimization and 2) reservation-based intersection control in connected and autonomous vehicle environment.

The left-turning traffic forbiddance measure is an important mode of traffic organization of intersection, but the traffic management departments are puzzled by the implementation condition, implementation method and efficiency evaluation. The traffic impact analysis of left-turning traffic flows and the advantages of left-turning traffic forbiddance measure is analyzed in paper, then the implementation flows is summarized. The implementation condition and method are determined, and the average delay of intersections in the whole region are chosen as the evaluation index of operation efficiency of the left-turning traffic forbiddance measure. So the calculation method of efficiency between pre and post adopted the left-turning traffic forbiddance measure is proposed. The intersections of business district in City Hengyang is chosen as example for verifying the implementation method of left-turning traffic forbiddance, and the efficiency between pre and post adopted the left-turning traffic forbiddance measure is comparatively analyzed and the VISSIM simulation software is applied for verifying the effect of the left-turning traffic forbiddance measure.

The paper deals with the problem of the impact analysis of mass transit system timetables parameters on the modal split, which is reflected in a traffic model. A typical criterion of selecting transport mode in this kind of model is a journey time, which is mostly moderated by an individual transport. It mostly results from infrastructure parameters and the travel demand, both defining the traffic conditions in the whole transport network. Considering mass transit system, a journey time derivates from timetable (or frequency of running), which is first defined by the operator and then reflected in the traffic model. As a consequence, this modelling practice makes the journey time via mass transit system independent from general traffic volume reflected in the model. Thus, the authors have started a pilot study on this phenomenon. They have proposed a relationship between an acceptable change in traffic conditions of the traffic model and a resulted difference of a journey time of public transport vs. individual one. On this basis, the concept of a stable modal split was formulated, and it is experimentally tested.

Software Defined Network (SDN) provides high service flexibility to optimize network configuration based on network traffic. Traffic management able to solve traffic density in SDN. However, it will misuse the network bandwidth and links. One variant of the SDN controller, namely Open Network Operating System (ONOS), provides an Intent Monitor and Reroute (IMR) method that can optimize traffic management based on the description of an object in the ONOS application. This method can optimize the network bandwidth and links of SDN. The IMR can monitor the network and reconfigure the network to restore network connectivity by maximizing the use of each link when transmitting data. This study examines the impact of using IMR with a custom topology on ONOS to find the best scenario by performing traffic management on a data plane consisting of switches totaling 8-12 switches. The parameters measured in this study are bandwidth usage and quality of service (QoS). The results obtained in this study are IMR able to optimize the use of each link and maximize bandwidth usage in a network when distributing data and following TIPHON standards
