Medication compliance and motivation for treatment, as adaptive- compensatory reactions of patients to the awareness of the fact of their own ill- being, are based on subjective perception of the disorder. To date, there is a shortage of objective methods for assessing the subjective concept of morbidity in psychotic patients.160 inpatients with psychosis in anamnesis were examined: nosologically according ICD-10 80%—F2, 11%—F3, 9%—F0. A self-questionnaire was adapted to the Russian language for determining the subjective meaning and significance of psychosis (Susi). The results of its internal and external (when compared with data on the severity of productive and negative symptoms, subjective assessment of the severity of the condition and treatment motivation of patients) validation are presented.Conclusions. The applicability of the concept of subjective morbidity in patients with mental disorders is shown. The role of the subjective attitude to the disease in case of its perception as a destructive life event is associated in patients with a violation of the structure of motivation for treatment. On the contrary, the ability of patients to form a subjective meaning of the disease can be considered as a guarantee of more intense therapeutic motivation.

The article presents data from an empirical study of the features for age perception in pedophilia (ICD-10) / pedophilic disorder (ICD-11). We consider a phenomenon of individuals with pedophilia what often want to be like children or feel themselves like them. An analytical review of the literature on the subjective perception of age and age identity is provided. The question is discussed on how the chronological assessment of the live time is transformed into a subjective assessment of one's own age, as well as the mechanisms underlying such kind of transformation (in particular, successful or unsuccessful experience of socialization). Three groups of individuals are compared: persons accused of sexual crimes with diagnosis of pedophilia (21 examinees), without such a diagnosis (21 examinees) and 45 examinees of the control group. All of them completed the test on “Age Identity”, “Color Test of Affective Tones” and “Coding”. According to the results the actual and ideal self-image in pedophilia is more infantile and similar to the image of a child. Obtained data indicate the immaturity of sexual sphere in examinees with pedophilia, they perceive sexuality in communicative and playing context.

One of the factors that negatively affect the human body is susceptibility to stress. The inability to react to negative emotions and reduce tensions in the body causes many negative symptoms that affect people every day. A relaxing massage is one of the ways to reduce stress levels. The aim of the study was to attempt to assess the effect of a relaxing massage on the level of stress in women aged 25-45 years. The research group consisted of 60 women. The research group underwent a proprietary relaxing massage, while the control group used manicures or pedicures. As the research method an original questionnaire and the PSS-10 (Perceived Stress Scale) was used. The subjective assessment of the level of stress based on the proprietary survey and the PSS-10 questionnaire among the respondents after the relaxing massage was statistically signifi cantly lower. How ever, no statistically signifi cant differences in the decrease in stress levels were found between the two groups. On the other hand, a statistically signifi cant relationship between education and the level of stress was proved. Subjects with lower education were characterized by a higher level of stress.

Background: Three Cochrane reviews show that music therapy has a positive effect on schizophrenia concerning general functioning and positive/negative symptoms. This study aims to replicate these results in the Danish health system, a requirement for recommendation in guidelines from the Danish National Board of Health. Methods: The study is a randomized, controlled multi-site study, with a blinded design, aiming to include 90 participants who are 18–65 years in age, diagnosed according to ICD-10 with a schizophrenia diagnosis. The participants are randomized to one of two different music therapy activities for 25 weekly sessions. The study interventions are added to standard care. Outcome measures are rated at baseline, after 15 sessions and post therapy. A qualitative interview is performed as a one month follow up at the end of study. The primary intended outcome is a reduction in negative symptoms. The secondary intended outcome is progression in quality of life, alliance and psychosocial functioning. Results: As this study is still running, the results are not yet available. Conclusion: The study will investigate the direct effects of music therapy on negative symptoms as part of schizophrenia in a blinded, randomized trial. If proven effective, music therapy can be added to the small treatment armamentarium of effective therapies for negative symptoms in patients with schizophrenia.

IntroductionThe role of cognitive complaints has recently received increasing attention in dementia research.AimTo investigate whether the subjective perception of cognitive deficits is related to multi-morbidity in an old Italian cohort.MethodsThe study population(N = 6,825) included persons who did not receive a diagnosis of dementia(DSM-IIIR criteria), were not cognitively impaired and scored < 4 at the Global Deterioration Scale(GDS). On GDS stage one, Individuals with GDS score equal to one do not report memory problems and no deficits are detected during the interview. In subjects with GDS score = 2, a very mild cognitive decline is appreciable. On GDS score = 3,deficiencies begin to be noted. The examining physicians diagnosed the somatic disorders according to the International Classification Disease version 10 (ICD-10). Mental health was clinically assessed by the examining physicians with semi-structured questions. A multimorbidity index was created based on the number of co-occurring chronic disorders. Binary logistic regression analyses were used to estimate multiadjusted Odds ratio (aOR) and 95% Confidence Intervals (CI).ResultsAccording to GDS, 28.4% (N = 1,940) of participants reported some degree of perceived cognitive decline. Cognitive complaints were associated with increasing age, low education, and multimorbidity. Stroke (aOR,95%CI 1.6;1.3–1.9),diabetes(aOR,95%CI 1.4;1.1–1.7),depressive(aOR,95%CI 2.2;1.8–2.7) and anxiety symptoms(aOR, 95%CI 1.5;1.3–1.8) were significantly associated with perceived cognitive decline. When performances at MMSE were taken into account, cardiovascular(aOR,95%CI 2.3;1.3–4.1) and respiratory diseases(aOR,95%CI 1.9;1.0–3.6) were associated with self-perceived cognitive decline in absence of observable cognitive deficits.ConclusionsCognitive complaints have many somatic correlates and some of them may account for the discrepancy between perceived cognitive decline and cognitive assessment.

Based on the material of the poetic text of the poem by Wallace Stevens “Lunar Paraphrase” we establish that the periphrasis has a nominative character, has the replacing function, replacing the word “moon”, has metaphorical in relation to the replaced word, a descriptive and allegorical character, a unique individual author's metaphoricity. We prove that the peripheral education formation is provided by the cognitive abilities of a person, among which are such as the choice of the object of observation, sensory perception, attention, proper mental operations. There is a process of profiling, as a result of which focuses the attention of a person on a certain conceptual feature, highlighting a specific area and forming a paremic education. The appearance of periphrasis closely linked to a reflection on our perception of reality in language, which is governed by the cognitive and linguistic mechanisms. Periphrasis “mother of pity and pathos”, “mother of pathos and compassion”, “mother of sorrow and compassion”, “mother of pity and sadness” reflect the principle of variability in the interpretation of the MOON by different statements, which, of course, reflect the text subjective perception by the translator. The phenomenon of periphrasis in the Russian language determines the semantic and formal structure of the descriptive structure. It is assumed that we can talk about the coexistence of individual author’s peripherals.

There is actualized the problem of the needfor the awareness of the peculiarities of the subjective perception of health risks in the particular social group as the first step towards the construction of an effective system for the provision of information about risks. There was noted the presence of the gap between expert and everyday knowledge about risk. On the base of materials of two representative sociological surveys of working population of the Perm region with the use of the author tools of the research, there was performed in-depth analysis of the perception of risks and were shown the features of subjective assessment of health risks related to nutrition, smoking and alcohol consumption in workers of industrial enterprises. The empirical analysis of perception of risks related to peculiarities of individual behavior of employees was pointed to be performed extremely rare. The perception of the industrial workers of the health risks related to behavioral factors was revealed to have a multilevel structure. Under the high level of awareness about behavioral health risk factors, self-protection modes of behavior were established to fail to occur widely among employees. Workers in industrial enterprises were determined to be characterized by the overestimation of the impact of environmental and occupational factors on health along with the underestimating of the significance of individual behavior. There was proved the low efficiency of the linear model for the provision of information about risks. The proposed principles of the construction of risk communications in the field of health, ensuring the successful management of the risk perception by workers in the form of transition from provision of information to communication, that means the reliance on dialogue, the abandonment of unilateral translation of knowledge from the leaders (experts) in favor of regular exchange of information with the aim of shaping of consensus on what risk factors are significant, how they influence on the human health and what should be done to minimize them.

Objective: establishment of clinical and psychometric features of youth depression with attenuated symptoms of the schizophrenic spectrum (ASSS) for early differential diagnosis and nosological assessment.Patients and methods: clinical and psychometric examination of young 219 inpatients (average age 19.6 ± 2.4 years), first admitted to the clinic “Mental Health Research Centre” from 2011 to 2020 with the first depressive episode with ASSS. Control group of inpatients (52 patients) with “classical” youth depressions without ASSS (average age 19.6 ± 2.4 years). Diagnosis  according ICD-10: F32.1, F32.2, F32.28, F32.8.Results: the psychopathological structure of youth depression with ASSS is characterized by the following types: (1) depression with attenuated psychotic symptoms (APS), which were divided into the subtype (1a) depression with APS and (1b) depression with brief limited intermittent psychotic symptoms (BLIPS); (2) depression with attenuated negative symptoms (ANS), comprising two subtypes (2a) with most emotional damage and (2b) with volitional impairment, and type (3) with attenuated symptoms of disorganization (ASD) in the structure of depressive episode. Clinical and reliable psychometric differences have been established between depressions with ASSS and «classical» youth depressions without ASSS. Conclusions: youth depression with ASSS is definitely different from “classical” youth depression without ASSS. Differences have been found in  the psychopathological structure of youth depression with ASSS, resulting in a typological differentiation.

The article analyzes the features of the social well-being of the residents of the Russian province, examines the relevant factors that influence its level and direction. The author points out that the socio-cultural features of the periphery are essential for people’s subjective perception of the success of their lives. The article concludes that the social well-being of residents of the Russian province is largely determined by the age of the respondents. Middle-aged and older Russians are much less likely to perceive their social status as high, rarely have high self-esteem, and see opportunities for self-realization in the future. The social well-being of residents of the Russian province is also significantly influenced by the level of education, readiness for continuous self-development and education throughout life, subjective assessment of their own material well-being, as well as the degree of social integration of a person and support from the immediate environment and the local community. Based on the analysis, the author concludes that the social policy of the Russian state and society is not very effective, and that it is necessary to develop social institutions that focus on the formation of “self-care” competencies for Russian residents throughout their lives.
