The influence of corporate income taxation on financial statements presented on a domestic accounting standards basis differ by countries in a wide range. Corporate income taxation in Hungary has a strong connection to the Hungarian Accounting Act. From 2016 it is prescribed or allowed for specific companies to present their financial statements on IFRS basis. The transition represented not only a challenge in the accounting system of the companies, but the state had to face new tasks because the taxation of IFRS companies had to meet the tax principle of horizontal equity and ensure the proper tax revenue. Research data arise from financial statements of Hungarian companies listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange. The average effective tax rate of Hungarian listed companies decreased after the transition. Temporary tax rules for IFRS companies were applied to reach the tax level of the companies that prepare their financial statements following the Hungarian Accounting Law. Authors compare the results with empirical findings of other European countries.

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to analyse the impact of policy and macroeconomic change on tax revenue and its effectiveness in Consumer Goods Industry sector (CGI) and Infrastructure, Utilities and Transport (IUT) sector. The analysis employed simultaneous equation system model estimated with 2SLS and simulation with Seidel method. Data was collected from annual report of the companies which listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results showed that the change of tax receipts and effective tax rate (ETR) happened due to changing in policy and macroeconomics in the CGI sector which is greater than the IUT sector. Furthermore, if the rupiah exchange rate depreciates, the policy regarding tax rate increment could increase tax revenue and ETR which is greater than the BI rate reduction policy in both sectors.

This paper aims to discover the trend of firms practicing tax planning in Indonesia. This descriptive paper aims to understand the trend of Indonesia Stock Exchange listed firms practice of tax planning. The paper uses secondary data from financial statements. The measurement of tax planning uses the formula (25%-ETR (effective tax rate))*PBT (profit before tax). The sample is Indonesia Stock Exchange listed firms from 2011-2016, with tax as 25%. The sample excludes firms in some industries: financial, agriculture, construction, and mining. The total sample used in this paper is 212 firms. The results of this paper generally indicate the decrement of the tax planning rate, which means the existing government policy to decrease tax planning among the firms located in Indonesia.

Tax pressure can be calculated at the macroeconomic level, but also at the microeconomic level, by analysing the data provided by companies in their financial statements, or by authorities giving official statistics. In this study, the authors adapt a formula for the calculation of the effective tax rate, proposing, at the denominator, the taxes reported explicitly by companies in their profits and loss account, to which they added the reconstituted value of social and fiscal contributions of the employees. Also, unlike the literature so far, they divided these tax expenses to the sales (revenues) and not to any other indicators from the profit and loss account. The population analysed is represented by the companies listed on the AeRo market of BSE, in the period 2010- 2019, a total of almost 3,000 observations. The results allowed them to notice a systematic increase in the share of the tax burden in sales, over the period taken into account. In verifying the effects of some variables proposed by the literature on the tax burden, the authors found that large firms have a lower tax burden, more profitable firms are more taxed than others, the tax burden is lower for more leveraged firms, and increasing the share of fixed assets in the balance sheet leads to an increase in the tax burden. In addition to the literature, they introduced a new variable - audit opinion - and found out that firms that receive modified audit opinions have a higher tax burden.

Aim of this research is to determine the effect of accounting conservatism and tax avoidance on firm value. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of annual reports of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2013-2016 period. The number of samples is 48 manufacturing companies. The data analysis technique used is regression analysis. The results of the study show that conservatism has a positive effect on firm value, tax avoidance has a negative effect on firm value. While simultaneously conservatism and tax avoidance have a positive effect on firm value. Thus this study supports that accounting conservatism has a role as a function of monitoring the company's investment policies and one way to maintain the value of the company in limiting losses that may arise from poorly performing investment decisions. The company that conducts tax avoidance (has a smaller effective tax rate) is an effort made by management to reduce the company's tax burden and is able to minimize expenditure for tax purposes so that management looks good in the eyes of shareholders.

In this research, tax avoidance measured by proxy of Book Tax Different (BTD) and Cash Effective Tax Rate (CETR). The population in this research is manufacturing firms that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with 2015-2017 time periods. The amount of sample before outlier is 198 datas collected with purposive sampling method, then the amount of sample after outlier is 187 datas for first model and 186 datas for second model. Cross section data is used in this research. Multiple linear regression, determination coefficients, and partial test (t-test) is used with some help of programming data using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) 23th version to analize in this research. The result of this study indicate tax avoidance has not significant influence towards the cost of debt, and institutional ownership can’t moderate the relationship between tax avoidance and the cost of debt.

The research aims to determine the impact of foreign investor’s interests on tax avoidance in Consumer Goods- Manufacturing Companies, in particular the food and beverage sector, listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the periods from 2011 to 2016. The interests of foreign investors are measured by two variable which are the percentage of ownership by foreign investors and the percentage of foreign directors and commisoners on the board directors. The methodology used in this research is sampling method, tested by multiple linear regression. Tax avoidance is measured by two approaches, i.e. Effective Tax Rate and Book Tax Different. This research concludes that the percentage of ownership by foreign investors and the percentage of foreign directors and commisoners on board directors show no significant effect to the corporate tax avoidance.
