The industrial plants, beyond subsisting, pursue to be leaders in increasingly competitive and dynamic markets. In this environment, quality management and technological innovation is less a choice than a must. Quality principles, such as those comprised in ISO 9000 standards, recommend companies to make their decisions with a based on facts approach; a policy much easily followed thanks to the all-pervasive introduction of computers and databases. With a view to improving the quality of their products, factory owners are becoming more and more interested in exploiting the benefits gained from better understanding their productive processes. Modern industries routinely measure the key variables that describe their productive processes while these are in operation, storing this raw information in databases for later analysis. Unfortunately, the distillation of useful information might prove problematic as the amount of stored data increases. Eventually, the use of specific tools capable of handling massive data sets becomes mandatory. These tools come from what it is known as ‘data mining’, a discipline that plays a remarkable role at processing and analyzing massive databases such as those found in the industry. One of the most interesting applications of data mining in the industrial field is system modeling. The fact that most frequently the relationships amongst process variables are nonlinear and the consequent difficulty to obtain explicit models to describe their behavior leads to data-based modeling as an improvement over simplified linear models.

This work demonstrated the possibility of using the data mining techniques such as artificial neural networks (ANN) and support vector machine (SVM) based model to predict the quality of the spinning yarn parameters. Three different kernel functions were used as SVM kernel functions which are Polynomial and Radial Basis Function (RBF) and Pearson VII Function-based Universal Kernel (PUK) and ANN model were used as data mining techniques to predict yarn properties. In this paper, it was found that the SVM model based on Person VII kernel function (PUK) have the same performance in prediction of spinning yarn quality in comparison with SVM based RBF kernel. The comparison with the ANN model showed that the two SVM models give a better prediction performance than an ANN model.

Service at the “Kelurahan” is a very important part in determining the success of development, especially in public service. The problem faced is the lack of skill level of the “Kelurahan” apparatus with the more dynamic demands of the community and the archive management system is still conventional and manual that is writing the identity of the archive into the book agenda, expedition, control card, and borrowed archive card, so it takes a more practical electronic system, effective and efficient so required to develop themselves in order to improve public services. Conventional administration and archive management must be transformed into cloud-based computing (digital), for which archiving managers should always be responsive and follow these developments and wherever possible in order to utilize for archival activities, with greater access expected archives are evidence at once able to talk about historical facts and events and be able to give meaning and benefit to human life, so archives that were only visible and readable at archival centers can now be accessed online, and even their services have led to automated service systems. Using Microsoft Access which its main function is to handle the process of data manipulation and manufacture of a system, this system is built so that the bias runs on Cloud which means Cloud itself is a paradigm in which information is permanently stored on servers on the internet and stored. The purpose of this program is the implementation of administrative management that has been based cloud computing (digital) and is expected to be a solution in managing the archive so that if it has been designed and programmed, it can be stored in the computer and benefi- cial to the “Kelurahan” apparatus and add in the field of management archives in the form of improving the quality of service to the community, can facilitate and scientific publications.

AbstractTape placement manufacturing process, as one of the automated forming technologies for composite material, not only substantially improves the productivity of composite component and reduces the cost of production significantly but also raises the reliability and stability of composite structure. Automated tape placement technology is mainly applied for manufacturing the fuselage and wing panel of airplane characterized by small curvature and large size. For these kinds of structural components with a non-developable surface, trajectory planning by “natural path” method could reduce the internal stress and improve the quality of composite products to a certain extent but not be optimized by quantitative characterization. On the basis of preliminary work, the theoretical model of “unnatural degree” (UD) is introduced in the first step, which could characterize the tensile and shear strain of the laying tape quantitatively. Secondly, by adjusting the iterative step and laying direction to diminish the UD, local stress could be softened in order to optimize the laying track. Ultimately, the simulation model of the non-developable surface is established under the Matlab software environment, and the “variable step-angle” algorithm is adopted to verify the adjustment effect of the tape-laying track.

Abstract Background Subcutaneous (SC) versus intravenous (IV) administration is advantageous in terms of patient convenience and hospital efficiency. This study aimed to compare the effect of optimizing the processes involved in SC versus IV administration of rituximab and trastuzumab on hospital capacity and service quality. Methods This cross-sectional resource utilization study interviewed oncologists, hematologists, nurses, and pharmacists from 10 hospitals in Spain to estimate changes in processes associated with conversion from IV to SC rituximab and trastuzumab, based on clinical experience and healthcare use from administrative databases. Results Efficient use of SC formulations increased the monthly capacity for parenteral administration by 3.35% (potentially increasable by 5.75% with maximum possible conversion according to the product label). The weekly capacity for hospital pharmacy treatment preparation increased by 7.13% due to conversion to SC formulation and by 9.33% due to transferring SC preparation to the cancer treatment unit (potentially increasable by 12.16 and 14.10%, respectively). Monthly hospital time decreased by 33% with trastuzumab and 47% with rituximab. In a hypothetical hospital, in which all processes for efficient use of SC rituximab and/or trastuzumab were implemented and all eligible patients received SC formulations, the estimated monthly capacity for preparation and administration increased by 23.1% and estimated hospital times were reduced by 60–66%. Conclusions Conversion of trastuzumab and rituximab to SC administration could improve the efficiency of hospitals and optimize internal resource management processes, potentially increasing care capacity and improving the quality of care by reducing time spent by patients at hospitals.
