The need for high-quality crumb rubber in West Sumatra tends to increase. However, the amount and quality of rubber from suppliers belong to weak caused by the bad monitoring systems, the supply cannot be met properly, and there is a lot of shrinkage in rubbers purchased by the company. Therefore this research was carried by implementing the Decision Support System (DSS) which was expected to help facilitate supplier data searches and evaluate the supplier's performance. The first stage in this research was designing DSS included the use of Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagram and database design. Next, built an applicable software using Personal Home Page (PHP), My Structured Query Language (MySQL), and Apache. An advantage of DSS designed was to accommodate differences and changes in rubber supplier assessment criteria according to the consideration of each crumb rubber industry in West Sumatra. There were 3 of 11 main crumb rubber criteria assessed. The results of these 3 criteria were obtained highest weight, namely Dryness (0.18), cleanliness (0.15), and consistency of quality (0.10). While the previous performance obtained the lowest weight (0.05). This meant that the criteria of dryness, cleanliness, and consistency of quality, will be the main considerations for companies in ranking and evaluating suppliers who work with companies.

Due to the complex timing sequence of NAND flash, a unified design process is urgently required to guarantee the reliability of storage system of nano-satellite. Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a widely used high level modeling language for object-oriented design. This paper adopts the UML as the design and modelling tool in the low level storage system design to elaborate the UML application in each phase of design in detail. The result shows taking UML as the modelling tool results in a clear and unambiguity design, which promotes the reliability and quality of software. At last, the feasibility of object-oriented implementation in C is presented.

High-quality development of critical systems poses serious challenges. Formal methods have been proposed to address them, but their use in industry is not as widespread as originally hoped. This chapter proposes to use the Unified Modeling Language (UML), the de-facto industry standard specification language, as a notation together with a formally based tool-support for critical systems development. The authors extend the UML notation with new constructs for describing criticality requirements and relevant system properties, and introduce their formalization in the context of the UML executable semantics. Furthermore tool-support concepts for this approach are presented, which facilitate transfer of the methodology to industrial applications.

Information on pharmaceuticals is beneficial for patients, most patients like to read patient information leaflets for their pharmaceuticals. Nevertheless, the quality of the information written on pharmaceuticals gives space for improvement. To improve the inadequacies of patient information leaflets, an alternate approach for the provision of information on pharmaceuticals will be illustrated. This work aims to design and develop a web application that will provide pharmaceutical product leaflets information as well as the proposed web application will provide supplementary services. The proposed work was designed and developed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), SQL, XML, and ASP.Net programming languages.

The development, registration, discovery, and invocation of quality Web services are vital for the successful implementation of applications using Web services. Considerable research focuses on quality for Web services. Unfortunately, current research on Quality of Service (QoS) for Web services is concentrated on service users and the implementation stage. This research highlights the importance of incorporating QoS at the design and development stages; the authors propose the introduction of QoS at the same time as functional requirements. However, Web Service Description Language (WSDL) describes the functional elements of a Web service, and QoS is significant for this description. Therefore, the authors propose an extension to the WSDL through a generic QoS metamodel, incorporating QoS specifications into the functionalities. This paper begins by defining the required QoS specifications for the development of quality Web services and explores the potential of the Unified Modeling Language as a technique and notation to specify QoS. To properly integrate QoS in the design, the authors propose extensions to the existing UML QoS profile. The paper concludes with the evaluation of the proposed framework and summarises its advantages.

Kota Kendari dilihat dari jumlah sarana pendidikan yang sudah ada saat ini, diyakini Kota Kendari merupakan kota pelajar. Disebabkan akan jumlah lembaga pendidikan tersebar diseluruh Kota Kendari sehingga sangat menyulitkan bagi masyarakat umum yang ingin memilih dan mencari lembaga pendidikan di Kota Kendari. Dengan pertimbangan tersebut maka dibutuhkan suatu sistem informasi geografis yang dapat menyajikan informasi mengenai lokasi lembaga pendidikan dan informasi lembaga pendidikan yang berada di Kota Kendari. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode pengumpulan data, metode pengembangan sistem System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), dan metode perancangan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML). Bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan adalah Hypertext Prepocessor (PHP) dan Structured Query Language (SQL). Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu sebuah sistem informasi geografis persebaran lembaga pendidikan dan informasi lembaga pendidikan, jalur tempuh, serta dapat menunjukkan lokasi penggunanya.

The rapid development of technology requires every business person to upgrade his technology to more sophisticated. Many business people have upgraded their systems to be computerized and even online, one of the business people is in the culinary field. The culinary field which is meant for example is the cafe One thing that can support the quality of ordering in a cafe is the ordering process. In the hover cafe the menu ordering system is still conventional, using a menu book. This of course can be a problem because the menu book used can be damaged or lost so that it can slow down the ordering process, not to mention if the customer requests additional orders, the waiter must come to the customer's table to record additional orders again. The method used in this research is the method of data collection, the method of observation, the method of interviewing, and the method of literature study conducted to obtain accurate data. Then the data are analyzed with SWOT to find out the company's weaknesses and strengths. In describing the flow of the system using UML (Unified Modeling Language) and PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) as a programming language with a MySQL database as a database. Therefore we need a ordering media that utilizes information technology as a medium for selecting food and beverage (E-Menu) which can provide information about order menu details to facilitate customers in making and ordering food or beverage menus.

Seni bonsai di Indonesia berkembang cukup baik. Hal ini terutama karena didukung oleh kesuburan alam dan kekayaan jenis flora tropisnya. Untuk mengetahui style bonsai diperlukan seorang pakar yang ahli dibidangnya oleh sebab itu jenis style dapat ditentukan dengan benar. Dalam merancang dan membangun aplikasi sistem pakar “SPBONSAI” ini menggunakan perancangan sistem UML (Unified Modeling Language), bahasa pemrograman PHP (Hypertext Prepocessor), dan penyimpanan database menggunakan SQL (Structured Query Language), aplikasi ini menggunakan framework twitter bootstrap agar tampilan aplikasi terlihat lebih fresh dan menarik. Software yang digunakan untuk membuat program antara lain: Sybase Power Designer, Notepad++, Photoshop CS3, Mozilla Firefox, dan XAMPP. Aplikasi sistem pakar ini dirancang untuk menentukan style bonsai yang memberikan hasil berupa gambar dan nama style. Aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat mengatasi dalam menentukan style bonsai. Aplikasi ini menggunakan metode certainty factor untuk memperoleh hasil kepastian dan ketidak pastian dalam perhitungannya.Kata kunci : Sistem Pakar, Bonsai, Metode Certainty Factor, UML (Unified Modeling Language), SQL (Structured Query Language), PHP (Hypertext Prepocessor)

PT. Duta Nichirindo Pratama is a company engaged in the field of Autoparts Manufacture. Barcode is the identity of an item / product on the package. Barcode technology has been used as the identity of goods in a production. Barcodes are used to facilitate the identification of goods produced. Paste the barcode on the packaging of packaging results at PT. Duta Nichirindo Pratama is done manually, but there are often errors attached to the barcode on a similar packaging. This research will design and create a system based on Visual Basic.Net and Arduino to select barcode attachment errors that have the potential to be sent to consumers. The system is designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, database design and interface menu design. The system created will then be tested to detect the black box test. With a computing-based design system that functions to detect barcodes on the packaging automatically, the problem of sticking barcodes on the packaging can be detected.

Untuk memudahkan pengolahan data para pegawai, inputan data Cuti dan Absensi maupun izin sakit dibutuhkan suatu perangkat lunak yang nantinya dapat melakukan pengolahan data ,berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka perlu di lakukan analisis sehinnga nantinya dapat diperoleh hasil dan kebutuhankebutuhan yang diperlukan untuk perangkat /system yang akan di bangun. Analisis dilakukan dengan melakukan cara menganalisis kebutuhan, pengguna dan fasilitas yang diperlukan oleh perangkat lunak yang di bangun benar-benar bermanfaat.berdasarkan hasil analisis permasalahan yang dilakukan sebelumnya, maka dapat rancangan suatu sistem perangkat lunak dengan melakukan analisis data menggunakan beberapa metode antara lain : wawancara dan observasi maupun studi pustaka, dengan menggunakan software UML (Unified Modeling Language).berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut maka penulis melakukan penelitian dan mengambil judul yang berkaitan dengan "Prototype Aplikasi Pengolahan Data Pegawai Di PT.Medikon Prima Laboratories".yang dapat membantu dan memudahkan dalam melakukan pengolahan data pegawai dan dapat menampilkan informasi akurat yang di butuhkan oleh pengguna di PT.Medikon prima laboratories.
