This study discussed the application of the basic school literacy activity. The purpose of this was to contribute to improving the reading and writing skills of elementary school students. In addition, it aimed to solve the difficulties faced by the school in implementing the school literacy movement. This applied research was conducted for fifteen minutes each day for a period of one month. As participants, there were low-grade students, namely grade one and high-class students which was grade five. The first-grade students numbered about thirty as well as the fifth grade. The research instrument used observation, documentation study and interviews. The results showed that schools have not been able to implement the school literacy movement based on existing provisions. This can be seen from a number of inadequate facilities and the readiness of the teachers as well the students who were difficult to involved in the activity.

Low-grade students still have difficulty in writing. Writing delays can hinder the learning process. This study aimed to develop writing learning video products for first-grade elementary school students whose validity has been tested. This research refers to the ADDIE development model procedure. However, this study did not implement and evaluate stages due to limited time, effort, resources, and finance. The subjects of this study were two material experts, two media experts, and two practitioners. The object of this research is the validity of the writing learning video. The data collection of this research used a questionnaire method by providing assessment sheets to two media expert lecturers, two material expert lecturers, and two first-grade elementary school teachers. The data from the validation results from the experts were then analyzed using the mean formula to determine the average validity score of the writing learning videos. The analysis results showed that the average validation score for writing learning videos is 4.44 with very good criteria. The average score of validation for writing learning video materials is 4.06 with very good criteria. Based on the analysis results, the writing learning video for first-grade students of SD was declared valid and had very good criteria.

This study aims to improve the results of learning mathematics of elementary school students SDIT Deli Insani of class V on the subject matter of fractions by using number playing card media. The from of this study is classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, using number playing cards at SDIT Deli Insani in class V Tanjung Morawa. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SDIT Deli Insani, amounting to 30 students. This action was carried out in April 2018. Methods of collecting data using observation and documentation. The data analysis used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study showed an increase in students' ability to understand concepts from the first cycle and second cycle. Percentage of increase in pre-action results, cycle I and cycle II students' concept comprehension ability that is 13.04% for indicators identifying number forms using number game cards (dominoes) and indicators solving problems in fractional form operations using dominoes 27.26%. the success indicator in cycle II reaches 80%. Thus the application of number game cards can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts at SDIT Deli Insani in Class V.

Thisstudyaims toimprove poetry writing skills with acrostic techniques in elementary school students. This research is descriptive qualitative. This type of research is a class action research (Class Action Research). The research carried out consisted of two cycles, each cycle being carried out three times.TheThe research procedure includes planning, implementing the action, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 34 grade V elementary school students.After carrying out the research in the first cycle 21 of 34 students got a score of 72.35 who got a "low" qualification. After that, the second cycle of research was carried out, 33 students got an average score of 80 in the "High" qualification. Based on the results of the research in the first and second cycles it proves that the application of acrostic techniques in learning to write poetry in fifth grade elementary school students is very appropriate because the application of these techniques can improve student learning outcomes in writing poetry for the better.
