This study aims to determine the impact of earnings per share (EPS), dividendpayout ratio (DPR), debt to equity ratio (DER), and investment opportunity set(IOS) on stock return. Population of this study is consumer goods industry sectorcompanies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The total sample wastaken compromising 17 companies within a period from 2010-2013, by usingpurposive sampling method. The data used are secondary data and analyticalmethods use is regression analysis test tools. The results of this study showedthat there are no impacts of earnings per share, dividend payout ratio, debt toequity ratio, and investment opportunity set partially and simultaneously on stockreturn on the consumer goods industry sector companies. The results of thisstudy mostly influenced by the performance of consumer goods industry sectorcompanies that have high stability and resistant towards crisis.

This study aims to examine the effect of Profit Growth, Size, Liquidity and Investment Opportunity Set on Earnings Quality in the consumer goods industry manufacturing companies listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2019. The research paradigm used is a quantitative paradigm with descriptive causality research methods. The population of this research were 55 companies and samples obtained were 29 companies with a purposive sampling method. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: 1) profit growth has a significant effect on earnings quality, 2) size has no significant effect on earnings quality, 3) liquidity has a significant effect on earnings quality, 4) investment opportunity set has a significant effect on earnings quality, 5) profit growth, size, liquidity and investment opportunity set together have a significant effect on earnings quality.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of working capital management, fixed assets and debt ratio on company profitability. The study uses a sample of consumer goods sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2019. The researchers use working capital management by the number of number of days account receivable (ARDays), the number of days Account Payable (APDays), the number of days inventory (INVDays), the Fixed Financial Asset Ratio (FA), and the Financial Debt Ratio (FD) with profitability by using gross profit (GP). Researchers used the secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on yearly basis and process the data statistics with multiple regression by SPSS 20. The population of this research includes 54 companies and the total sample covers 46 companies by passing the purposive sampling stage. The results of this study indicate that there was a significant relationship between working capital management, FA ratio and profitability while FD ratio had no effect on profitability.

Dividend policy is a company's decision to determine whether the profits earned by the company will be distributed to investors in the form of dividends or by increasing the company's retained earnings. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of earnings per share, investment opportunities, total asset turnover, and collateralizable assets on dividend policy in consumer goods industry entities listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. The population in this research was the consumer goods industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange of 52 entities in 2015-2019. The technique of determining the sample used is purposive sampling. The samples obtained are 13 companies incorporated in the consumer goods industry sectors in the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2015-2019. Based on the analysis, the result shows that the variable total asset turnover partially has a significant positive effect on dividend policy. Collateralizable asset variable has a significant negative impact on dividend policy. In contrast, the investment opportunity variables and earnings per share don't affect dividend policy. This research can be used as a reference for stakeholders in the company to consider the total asset turnover that affects dividend policy in a company.

This study aims to determine the effect of simultaneous and partial ownership structure and earnings management on firm value in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The method used in this study is the census method. The population studied was 32 companies in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The data collected were secondary data. Analysis of the data in this study used path analysis using SPSS V. 24. The results showed that the ownership structure and earnings management, simultaneously, had a significant effect on the value of the company in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The ownership structure, partially, has no significant effect on the value of the company in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. Earnings management, partially, has a significant effect on the firm value of the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Exchange Indonesian Securities in 2014, and ownership structure does not significantly influence earnings management in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. Keywords: ownership structure, earnings management, company value

<p><strong><em>ABSTRACT :  </em></strong><em>Stakeholders pay attention to the earnings report, thus encouraging company managers to plan strategies to produce reports expected by stakeholders. Earnings management is one way that can be done. Managers can intervene the earnings management by increasing or decreasing profit in order to achieve a certain level of profit which benefits himself or the company. This study aims to determine the influence of free cash flow, financial distress, and investment opportunity set on earnings management. </em><em>The research sample consisted of 11 infrastructure, utility, and transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018 with the total sample of 55 data. This study used a purposive sampling method and was tested with SPSS 22.0 Software. The results show that the data have met the pooling test, classical assumptions and established criteria. The results of the F test show that the earnings management variable is affected simultaneously by free cash flow, financial distress, and investment opportunity set variables. The t test results show that the free cash flow and investment opportunity set have a significant positive effect on earnings management, whereas financial distress does not. In sum, there is enough evidence that free cash flow and investment opportunity set positively affect earnings management, but financial distress does not have enough evidence to influence earnings management.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em> Earnings Management, Free Cash Flow, Investment Opportunity Set, Financial Distress.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><strong>ABSTRAK:</strong> Laporan laba menjadi perhatian para <em>stakeholders</em> sehingga mendorong manajer perusahaan melakukan perencanaan strategi untuk menghasilkan laporan yang diharapkan <em>stakeholder</em>. Manajemen laba adalah salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan. Intervensi manajer untuk melakukan manajemen laba dengan cara menaikkan atau menurunkan laba guna mencapai tingkat laba tertentu untuk menguntungkan dirinya sendiri atau perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh <em>free cash flow, financial distress, </em>dan <em>investment opportunity set </em>terhadap manajemen laba. Sampel penelitian ini adalah perusahaan infrastruktur, utilitas, dan transportasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2014-2018. Total sampel yang digunakan adalah 11 perusahaan dengan data observasi yang diperoleh sebanyak 55. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah <em>non-probability sampling</em> dengan menggunakan metode <em>purposive sampling</em> dan pengujian yang dilakukan dengan bantuan <em>software</em> SPSS 22.0. Hasil penelitian dari data yang digunakan,  untuk uji pooling dan asumsi klasik telah lulus uji dan sudah memenuhi kriteria yang ditetapkan. Hasil uji F menunjukkan bahwa variable manajemen laba dipengaruhi secara simultan oleh variable <em>free cash flow, financial distress, </em>dan <em>investment opportunity set. </em>Dari hasil uji t memperlihatkan hasil bahwa <em>free cash flow </em>dan<em> investment opportunity set </em>mempunyai nilai signifikan positif terhadap manajemen laba, tapi untuk <em>financial distress </em>tidak mempunyai nilai signifikan terhadap manajemen laba. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah<em> free cash flow </em>dan <em>investment opportunity set </em>berpengaruh positif terhadap manajemen laba, sedangkan <em>financial distress </em>tidak berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba.</p><p><strong>Kata Kunci:</strong> Manajemen Laba,<em> Free Cash Flow,  Investment Opportunity Set, Financial Distress</em></p><p> </p>

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of profitability, investment opportunity set, and managerial ownership on dividend policy. The population of this study consists of whole manufacturing companies that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2013 to 2016 by using secondary data. The data have been collected from financial report of companies from Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) website and Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD). In this study, the samples are obtained 21 companies out of 145 companies. Analytical method that is used is multiple regression analysis. The hypothesis is measured by using statistical t-test with α level of 5%. The results indicate that profitability gives negative effect but does not significant on dividend  policy of manufacturing companies that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). Meanwhile, investment opportunity set and managerial ownership give positive effect and also significant on dividend policy of manufacturing companies that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX).Keyword: profitability, investment opportunity set, managerial ownership, and dividend policy

This research as a purpose to know what influence of liquidity ratio solvency ratio for profitability ratio.This research was conducted on the consumer goods industrycompanies in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) . The data used are secondary data from company financial statements of consumer goods industry. The population in this study is a consumer goods industryand sample period 2013-2017 and used a total of 7 samples from 32 companies . The technique of taking the sample using purposive sampling method The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis using Eviews. The results showed that the variable, Liquidity, Solvency has a positive and significant impact on profitability ( ROE)

Among factors that may be instrumental in affecting the dividend payout decision, this study aims to determine the effect of return on assets (ROA) and investment opportunities on dividend distribution in a company. Using secondary data from 10 Consumer Goods companies listed on the Stock Exchange in the period 2015 - 2019, the data were analyzed using panel regression using EVIEWS. This study found that ROA and investment opportunities can predict the Dividend Payout Ratio in the Consumer Goods Industry. The results suggest that the more profitable a company is, the more likely it is to pay high dividends. Also, high investment opportunities are good position increases a firm's ability to pay dividends.

This study aims to determine the influence of stock characteristics with stock returns on consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2011- 2015. Stock characteristics are illiquidity, size, beta, risk and dividend yield. This study uses quantitative approach by using multiple linear regression method in the form of panel data. This study uses a sample of consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2011-2015. The number of samples used in this study is 125 years of observation consisting of 25 companies. The finding of this study indicates that the influence of stock characteristics with stock returns. Illiquidity has no significant positive effect on stock return. Size has no significant positive effect on stock return. Beta has a significant positive effect on stock return. Risk has a significant negative effect on stock return. Dividend yield has a significant negative effect on stock return.

AbstractThe aim of this study is to test the impact of corporate governance and investment opportunity set toward dividend policy with earnings management as intervening variable. The sample of this study is non-financial firms listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange and also a member of Corporate Governance Perception Index on 2012 and 2013. The method that used in this study is multiple regression. The results showed that company with strong corporate governance really cared about shareholders interests by giving high dividend for them. Meanwhile, earnings management has no impact toward dividend policy.
