Over the years, record keeping was done manually, keeping paper-based documents of all students’ academic information. This system however has proven inefficient because it could not cater for unforeseen circumstances like fire accident, house demolishing or even the most obvious one - the student’s record going missing. Researchers have come up with more effective ways of solving the paper problem, which led to several web-based student information management systems. However, these researchers did not fully eradicate the paper problem because the process still required an initial printing, then scanning of academic records which served as inputs into the system. Also, there was an increase in the occurrence of service unavailability because all storage and processes came from the same location, making the server vulnerable to unforeseen circumstances like power outage, loss of network connection and system malfunction. This research work however aims at implementing an E-transcript management system using blockchain technology, which is capable of eliminating the paper problem whilst ensuring that users experienced service uptime round the clock.

In 21st century, the world is largely dependent on information technology where accuracy, speed and reliability have a huge impact. Manual pen and paper work is going to be replaced by computerized systems for more efficient functioning. In the present scenario, it is difficult to keep track the admission status of a candidate on the day of admission, as the number of candidates applied for higher education institutes is gradually increasing. The aim of the research work is to develop a web based application for University Admission Management System (UAMS) where we can computerize a part of University Admission process to make the admission process easy, efficient and user-friendly.

There is A finite amount of portable water which is decreasing day by day. Rapid degradation of useful water on earth results in an unkind impact on livelihood. In future, people may have to face (DAY 0) problem therefore, conservation of water is essential. A solution has been proposed to this problem that is “decentralized water management system” using blockchain technology. Blockchain technology can help to use water more efficiently so that every household can lend/borrow the required/extra water from its peer household in the network. In this research work, water ledger architecture has been proposed. This architecture can serve as the basis for Blockchain implementation which can help inbuilding transparency in the water management system with the ultimate goal of Water Conservation. To purpose a system architecture that meets the “demand and supply” of all consumers in a peer-to-peer network so that water can be conserved. A smart contract has been written for transactions (P2P network of 10 household) using Ethereum as a platform. A web interface is created for consumers. Hence, the overall objective is to create a smart water management system for 10 households using blockchain technology to conserve water by medium of sharing water among peer-to-peer as per their needs.

The scores management system conducted by the STMIK STIKOM Indonesia institution is still done manually, where the lecturer writes in the form of physical or paper assessment which is then re-input by the staff of the Academic Administration Bureau (BAAK) into the existing system. This has an impact on the ineffectiveness and inefficiency in the process of scores management and presentation in the form of report on the recapitulation of values that require long enough for the students. It takes a computerized system in the management of values that can accelerate the process of scores management, where the lecturers directly perform input and scores management into a system that is synchronized with the academic system as well as information in the form of a report of value to the party in need. The system to be designed and built is a web-based student information management system. In this study, the main objective is to facilitate lecturers and staff in the management of student scores and manufacture of computerized assessment report recapitulation.

Blockchain is considered to be a disruptive core technology. Although many researchers have realized the importance of blockchain, but the research of it is still emerging. It is the record-keeping technology behind bitcoin and is one of the hottest and fastest growing skills in the IT sector today. It serves as an immutable ledger which allows transactions to take place in a decentralized man Blockchain-based applications are rising up, covering numerous fields including finance, healthcare, product management, Internet of Things (IoT), and many more. However, there are still some challenges of blockchain technology such as scalability and security problems which need to be overcome. This paper comprises of a comprehensive study of Blockchain technology. We have included here a deep dive into how blockchains work, its architecture, consensus and various applications. Furthermore, technical challenges are briefly listed.

The purpose of this study is to examine how Knowledge level augmented parameters impact on the effective adoption of information and communication technology (ICT) by onion farmers in Perambalur district of Tamil Nadu. Data were gathered from a focus group made up of 60 Farmers in Perambalur district. The paper finds that a willingness of indigenous ICT users is particularly influenced by the recognition and incorporation of visible social imperatives during the adoption process. Research limitations/implications – The outcome of this study highlights important issues for ICT adoption. One particular area that must be taken into consideration is the adoption channel. Perceptions of ICT adoption will differ significantly among adopters. For this reason, the need for developing an appropriate adoption channel that ensures successful diffusion of the innovation should be recognized. The paper also demonstrates that Knowledge Management System among farmers using ICT to yield more profit in onion Production form knowledge distributed by the experts. Hence the research work carried out to acquire, represent, and distribute the knowledge Management system to the Farming community.

The strategic planning of developing any information system is the key factor of progress any organization. Hence, SWOT (Strength, weakness, opportunities and threats) analysis for the strategic planning of developing information system has proved to be a good analysis tool for further development and progress of the universities/organization. Further, the implementation of computerized student information management system has become an important issue within the university campus to exchange such information between students and staff. Many studies have developed student information system through the converting of paper-based system to computer-based system in order to facilitate the work of staff. However, none of these studies focused on the development of such systems based on the strategic planning using SWOT technique. Therefore, this research focuses on the requirements needed to develop student information system based on the aforementioned strategic planning technique. Some universities located in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq have been tacking to do the investigation. Moreover, SWOT technique was selected to find strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of developing such system. The findings of this research were processed as matching strengths with opportunities and converting weaknesses or threats to strengths or opportunities. Based on the results, it has been found that the need to address student information systems is of utmost importance now more than ever in order to survive and continue in the competition environment.

Abstract Renewable-energy resources require overwhelming adoption by the common masses for safeguarding the environment from pollution. In this context, the prosumer is an important emerging concept. A prosumer in simple terms is the one who consumes as well as produces electricity and sells it either to the grid or to a neighbour. In the present scenario, peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading is gaining momentum as a new vista of research that is viewed as a possible way for prosumers to sell energy to neighbours. Enabling P2P energy trading is the only method of making renewable-energy sources popular among the common masses. For making P2P energy trading successful, blockchain technology is sparking considerable interest among researchers. Combined with smart contracts, a blockchain provides secure tamper-proof records of transactions that are recorded in distributed ledgers that are immutable. This paper explores, using a thorough review of recently published research work, how the existing power sector is reshaping in the direction of P2P energy trading with the application of blockchain technology. Various challenges that are being faced by researchers in the implementation of blockchain technology in the energy sector are discussed. Further, this paper presents different start-ups that have emerged in the energy-sector domain that are using blockchain technology. To give insight into the application of blockchain technology in the energy sector, a case of the application of blockchain technology in P2P trading in electrical-vehicle charging is discussed. At the end, some possible areas of research in the application of blockchain technology in the energy sector are discussed.
