In 21st century, the world is largely dependent on information technology where accuracy, speed and reliability have a huge impact. Manual pen and paper work is going to be replaced by computerized systems for more efficient functioning. In the present scenario, it is difficult to keep track the admission status of a candidate on the day of admission, as the number of candidates applied for higher education institutes is gradually increasing. The aim of the research work is to develop a web based application for University Admission Management System (UAMS) where we can computerize a part of University Admission process to make the admission process easy, efficient and user-friendly.

With the rapid development of computer network, the network architecture is increasingly complicated; the scale of network extends continuously. Therefore, the functions and positions of the network management are also more and more important. The Web-Based network management, making users manage the network and system expediently and simply, combining Web technology and modern distributed network management technology, which can also be updated and customized easily to meet the different needs, is an important direction of the development of the network management technology in the future. This paper proposes an a SNMP-based Web network management system using B/S structure, which has features of flexible structure, easily extensible, user-friendly features and so on.

A conference management system (CMS) is becoming most powerful event manager for handling the international conferences. Several web based conference management systems have been developed in the paradigm of open source, which are used by most of the universities and colleges. All the conference management systems were built on web-servers. The organizing process consists of very time consuming and full of paper work for event handling such as Call for papers, submission of papers by authors, review process, registration process of author and general participants. So an easy to use framework of conference management system is needed to cater the need of the non technical people. The developed model is easy to handle and automates the process of the events one after the other without intervention of the editor, reviewer and author for developing ready to publish research papers for any organization.

The increase in population globally has caused organisations and businesses to move from square rooms, table-top and containers into supermarkets, malls and more. With this expansion in businesses, the traditional pen and paperwork system for keeping records are becoming more difficult for salespersons and shop owners everywhere. However, the introduction of the point-of-sales management system and advancement in technologies have elevated the challenges facing shop owners in managing their daily sales and balance sheet. Despite the overwhelming number of POS systems available, wholesalers and retailers' in low-income counties such as Ghana see some challenges with the existing POS, cost-effectiveness, and user-friendliness. Thus, the cultural difference makes it difficult for easy adaptation of shop owners to off-the-shell POS system. Hence, the current study sought to design and develop a user-friendly, low-cost intelligent web-based point of sales management system for small and medium scale business in the Bono region of Ghana, based on a user-centred approach. Using a waterfall model, we implement a POS system based on XAMP server and MySQL database as backend and PHP for server-side scripting. At the same time, HTML and CSS were used for front end development. Our experimental setup with ten students shows that the proposed system is easy to use and robust. Thus, it has a user-friendly interface for even novice to learn it with ease.

This study examines the design process of a blended learning environment using a learning management system to transform Basic English courses into the web-based distance learning format in the School of Foreign Languages at a large scale research university in Turkey. The research design was based on design-based research and the ASSURE, which is an instructional design model. A design plan was created based on the needs indicated by the analysis, and the necessary materials were developed and transferred to the learning management system. Over the years, record keeping was done manually, keeping paper-based documents of all students’ academic information. This system however has proven inefficient because it could not cater for unforeseen circumstances like fire accident, house demolishing or even the most obvious one - the student’s record going missing. Researchers have come up with more effective ways of solving the paper problem, which led to several web-based student information management systems. However, these researchers did not fully eradicate the paper problem because the process still required an initial printing, then scanning of academic records which served as inputs into the system. Also, there was an increase in the occurrence of service unavailability because all storage and processes came from the same location, making the server vulnerable to unforeseen circumstances like power outage, loss of network connection and system malfunction. This research work however aims at implementing an E-transcript management system using blockchain technology, which is capable of eliminating the paper problem whilst ensuring that users experienced service uptime round the clock.

Fieldwork Practices were carried out at Pati National Vocational High School, from January 25, 2021 to February 20, 2021. In this Fieldwork Practice, the authors created an efficient application and management system for student data, especially for new students in a computerized manner. By using this web-based programming system, it can simplify data collection, automatic ranking based on National Exam scores, reduce paper usage, reduce cheating and are expected to overcome the obstacles experienced by both the committee for admission of new students and the parents of the students themselves. . This research produces a system that can handle the admission process of new students with the hope that it is more efficient and effective than the previous method.

Lifelog media system stores and manages users’ everyday experiences in the form of multimedia data. To build such a system, we require an integrated framework for capturing the experiences to multimedia data, storing and managing those data, and also presenting the data to the user in a user-friendly way. Due to the mobility of the user, we built a mobile framework that includes wearable devices that enable the user to capture experiences easily, and a Web-based management system that can be presented anytime and anywhere using Web interface. In this chapter, we provide solutions for some issues that emerge in this system (such as mobility and user friendliness), mostly on the database performance.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to introduce the development of a knowledge management system. It allows the creation of new knowledge, its consolidation, distribution and combination in the field of educational innovation, in such a way that the knowledge is transferred from individuals to the organisation and from the organisation to individuals. To achieve this, the knowledge spirals of Nonaka are integrated. The epistemological spiral is used to obtain the ontologies that feed the ontological spiral. Design/methodology/approach – More than 600 university teachers participated in the research and the development of the management system, in which more than 400 educational innovation experiences and 1,100 authors have been included. Findings – The epistemological spiral is used to obtain the ontologies that feed the ontological spiral. The result is a double spiral that allows the contribution of a conceptual model and the development of an innovative tool that enables and automates the effective management of knowledge in educational innovation. Practical implications – A repository about educational innovation best practices and experiences is available. Social implications – The presented model for the sustainability and evolution for an educational innovation best practices repositories has a huge impact for education innovation recognition in the professional development of university teachers. On the other hand, it is way of sharing best practices of educational innovation all over the world. Originality/value – The major contribution of this research work is based on the way that the knowledge is transferred from individuals to the organisation and from the organisation to individuals. The classification schema and the proposed indicators are based on the elicitation of more than 600 experts and the study of a corpus of more than 400 educational innovation experiences that involve 1,100 university teachers approximately.

This paper describes the design and implementation of the Pusat Pengajian Diploma Industrial Training Online System (PiTOS), which was designed to be a user friendly, generic, web-based system to ease accessibility to all vital information related to students’ industrial training in a more organized and efficient way in a paperless environment. The solution we developed is a web application, written using PHP and utilizes the MySQL as the database management system.
