The consumption of prescribed medicine on time has become the most important requirement in day-to-day busy life. The adherence to the schedules of medicine dosage becomes critical with the problem or disease, which is being treated. Therefore, the importance of it varies from person to person. To overcome the problems of the adherence to medicine dosages, many products and designs of medicine dispenser have been proposed. In this paper, the prototype of Portable Smart Medicine Dispenser has been discussed, which overcomes the problems of many of the existing designs and provides the improved characteristics in it. Android has been used as the GUI for the system and NodeMCU ESP8266, a microcontroller with inbuilt Wi-Fi module, has been used. The Xcluma 28Ybj-48 Stepper motor is used to rotate the container of medicine. The history has also been setup, which shows the list of alarms, which have been successfully alerted and container is rotated. The medicine, if not taken within a specified time, the alert is sent to the caretaker in the form of notification of the Android App. Another improvement in this design is that the Firebase, which is a real-time and NOSQL database has been used, which helps in quick synchronization of the data from the Android app to Firebase and vice versa.

The article discusses the decision of some problems connected with the distribution of increased state academic scholarships, such as: late submission of documents, lengthy processing of applications, the paper version of the filing documents that complicate the process of submission and consideration of applications and documents into a higher state academic scholarship, thereby increasing the burden on the members of the scholarship Commission and directorates of the institutions. The aim of this work is to find ways to improve the efficiency and accessibility of this process through an information system that will allow you to submit achievements for authentication and applications for an increased state academic scholarship online, track your position in the ranking in real time, view the achievements of other students directly from the rating system.Information system design is implemented using a new stack of information design and development approaches. The article pays special attention to the design of the database and the interface part of the application. The article presents a working web application “administration of the achievement accounting system”.

Problems in the process of manned agricultural aerial spraying, such as heavy workload in route planning, overlaps or omissions in spraying seriously reduce the efficiency of spraying and utilization rate of pesticides. This paper presents the design and development of a navigation system for manned agricultural aerial spraying based on an industrial tablet PC. This system provides three key functions: route planning, spraying navigation and real-time evaluation of spraying quality. The test and application results show that this system has high efficiency in route planning, and the average coverage rate of spraying could reach as high as 96%. Its application effect is remarkable, and as a result, this system can meet the demand of manned agricultural aerial spraying in route planning and navigation.

Abstract This paper presents the design and development of a Multi-module Deployable Manipulator System (MDMS) as well as a dynamical formulation for it. The system is designed for experimental investigations aimed at dynamics and control of this variable geometry manipulator by implementing different control algorithms to regulate its performance. The manipulator operates in a horizontal plane and is unique in that it comprises of four modules, each of which has one revolute joint and one prismatic joint, connected in a chain topology. Each module has a slewing link of approximately 20cm length and is capable of extending by 15cm. The manipulator design involves the selection and sizing of actuators, the design of mounting and connecting components, and the selection of hardware as well as software for real-time control. The dynamical model is formulated using an O(N) algorithm, based on the Lagrangian approach and velocity transformations. The O(N) character is computationally efficient permitting real-time control of the system.

Internet of things is a revolutionary domain, when we use it for the wellness of people in a smart way. As of now, the cost to implement IoT-enabled services is very high. So, this chapter introduces a cost effective and a reliable system to monitor patients at home and in hospitals with the help of IoT. The monitored details of a person can be drawn at any time with the help of an android app, which can produce output at real-time. The processed data are stored in the UBIDOTS cloud server, and the patients' needs can be met in time as well lives saved during critical cases with the help of the system proposed in this chapter.
