- This article examines the situation of immigrant young generations in France, with a specific focus on their process of insertion in the labour market. As it emerges from different sources, this process can be influenced both by ethnic forms of discrimination and by precarious employment. The biographical paths of the second generation testifies on one hand the fragmentation and the ethnic stratification of the labour market, while on the other economic issues are entrenched, with the multiplication of the spaces of transnational trade and its related factors. The main opportunities available for the second generation, at a local level, relate to trajectories of ethnic enclaves or ethnic niches and to the access to selected forms of employments, mainly as care-workers. However, some groups are able to start up ethnic transnational businesses. Consequently, against a background characterised by globalisation and uncertainty, only some individuals succeed in managing a process of globalized individualization. There are five major groups of classic ‘labour migrants’ in Germany: Greeks, Italians, (ex-)Yugoslavs, Turks, and Iberians, with the Turks being the largest single group. Today, there are significant numbers of second-generation men and women from these origins in the German labour market. More recently, they have been joined by a more diverse group of migrants from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the (middle) East, and Africa. In the first generation, the labour-migrant groups had relatively low levels of education, leading to marked ethnic stratification within the labour market. This stratification continues in the second generation although on a reduced scale. While the second generation has acquired higher levels of education than the first, they still lag some way (the Turks especially so) behind native Germans in their education. Ethnic penalties in the labour market itself are also much reduced in the second generation, although significant penalties remain for Turks. However, most of the continuing ethnic stratification is due to processes that operate prior to entry into the labour market.

this research aims to find out the intensity of Employee Engagement of the health care sector workers and the relationship between the Work life factors and Employee Engagement of Health care sector workers in Dindigul District. Primary data were used in this research, were collected from 298 Health care workers from Dindigul District. Questionnaire was the major tool used to gather the primary data from the selected sample respondents. For this purpose, a well structured questionnaire was constructed with the help of professionals and the practiced employees of various health care units in Dindigul District. The health care employees were chosen by simple random sampling method. The investigative measures of regression Path analysis, and simple percentage analysis were utilized to find the impact of work life related factors with the Employee Engagement. The maximum Health care workers were generally satisfied with their jobs. The analytical procedure of path analysis multiple regressions was utilized to determine the predicting strength among Work life factors and the employee engagement. This study provides an another view about the importance of Work life factors and Employee engagement for organizational effectiveness and performance .

Abstract Background This study aimed to compare prevalence and risk factors of somatization (SOM) between health care workers and non-health care workers during COVID-19 outbreak in China. Methods From 14 February to 29 March 2020, an online survey was performed in both 605 health care workers and 1151 non-health care workers. Based on the somatization dimension score of the Symptom Checklist-90, participants were divided into non-SOM group and SOM group. Results Health care workers had higher prevalence rate of SOM (p < 0.001) than non-health care workers, with an OR of 1.70 (95% CI, 1.22–2.36, p = 0.002). Multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that in non-health care workers, the risk factors of SOM included other ethnicities, insomnia, and suicide, while in health care workers, the risk factors included working 6–8 h per day, and working ≥10 h per day during COVID-19 outbreak. Conclusions Our research suggests that both non-health care workers and health care workers have a relatively high prevalence of somatization. However, the related factors for somatization in both groups are significantly different, showing that medical service-related factors are associated with somatization in health care workers, while demographic and clinical factors are associated with somatization in non-health care workers.

Introduction: Job Satisfaction in Health care organizations is one of the important pillars of health promotion, due to the role they play in the prevention, care and treatment. The aim of this study was to determine the job satisfaction and its related factors in health workers in Esfarayen. Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was carried out on 140 health care workers in Esfarayen in 2017. Data was collected using Herzberg job satisfaction questionnaire, and data were analyzed using ANOVA and t-test in SPSS21 software. Results: The mean age of participant was 37 ± 8.34. Most of them were female (70%) and married (85.5%). The average of job satisfaction was 61.45 ± 7.65 (out of 100). The highest job satisfaction score was work ability (73.54 ± 1.08) and the lowest score belonged to supervision ( 49.15 ± 5.73). Among the demographic variables, Job satisfaction was significantly associated with Employment Status (P<0.05). Conclusion: Despite employees have job satisfaction, factors that increase job satisfaction of employees should be considered by the relevant authorities. Establishing suitable job standards, fair and reasonable salary, and the creation of facilities in the workplace can lead to improved employee satisfaction and, consequently, improved service quality.

The paper investigates the role spatial agglomeration has in affecting firm mortality of industries. In particular, the role of variety and specialization is addressed, along with the extent to which industrial clusters can be retained industrial districts. Empirical evidence is provided for a large panel of Italian provinces and manufacturing sectors, over the period 1995-2007. Urbanization economies, rather than localization ones, significantly diminish firm mortality of industries at the local level. The same holds true for industrial variety, even far from the specialization core. Industrial districts, instead, are neither safe nor dangerous places for firms, unless variety is controlled for. Preliminary evidence is also provided by the serial and spatial autocorrelation of firm' death and start-up rates.
