Abstract Service quality is an important element in assessing the ability of institutions to meet its goals. The objective of this paper is to examine the factors that probably affect the quality of service for zakat institution, especially in Sepang using the SERVQUAL model which has five factors; reliability, react, assurance, empathy and tangible. A total of 103 respondents from Muslim entrepreneurs have participated in this study. This study uses several approaches, including exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and logistic regression analysis. Findings indicate that empathy and tangible are significant factors affecting the quality of service LZS in model studied. Several implications have been discussed in this study. Objektif kertas ini adalah untuk melihat faktor yang dijangka mempengaruhi kualiti perkhidmatan institusi zakat khususnya di daerah Sepang dengan menggunakan model SERVQUAL yang mempunyai lima faktor iaitu kebolehpercayaan, bertindak balas, jaminan, empati dan kewujudan. Sejumlah 103 responden yang terdiri daripada usahawan muslim telah mengambil bahagian dalam kajian ini.  Kajian ini menggunakan beberapa ujian termasuklah analisis tinjauan faktor (EFA) dan analisis regresi logistik. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan faktor empati dan kewujudan adalah signifikan dan mempengaruhi kualiti perkhidmatan LZS dalam model yang dikaji. Measuring the quality of service and customer satisfaction is ultimately important for ISPs to remain in business. In order to achieve a good quality of service, understanding the two-way relationship among customers in a variety of patterns of quality of service is crucial. Three methods of analysis namely; Penalty Rewards Contrast Analysis (PRCA), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) were used in the analysis to identify the causes of the main problems that affect the level of customer satisfaction. For the PRCA analysis, factors that were categorized as onedimensional are service quality, promotion, as well as payment of bills of paid Wi-Fi services and the promotional factor of free Wi-Fi services. Based on the IPA results, there were eight attributes for paid Wi-Fi services and four attributes of free Wi-Fi services in the first quadrant. These attributes are important but their performance are low. Therefore, these attributes need to be emphasized further to increase their level of performance. Meanwile, the CSI analysis showed that all five factors are found to be at a good level and being categorized in the indifferent zone. Keywords: Wi-Fi; customer satisfaction Index; penalty reward contrast analysis; important performance analysis Pengukuran kualiti perkhidmatan dan kepuasan pelanggan adalah sangat penting bagi ISP untuk kekal dalam perniagaan. Bagi mencapai kualiti perkhidmatan yang baik, memahami hubungan dua hala di kalangan pelanggan di pelbagai corak kualiti perkhidmatan adalah penting. Tiga kaedah analisis iaitu Analisis Kontras Hukuman Ganjaran (PRCA), Analisis Kepentingan Prestasi (IPA) dan Indeks Kepuasan Pelanggan (CSI) telah digunakan dalam analisis bagi mengukur kepuasan pelanggan untuk mengenal pasti punca masalah utama yang memberi kesan kepada tahap kepuasan pelanggan. Untuk analisis PRCA, faktor-faktor yang telah dikategorikan sebagai satu dimensi adalah faktor kualiti perkhidmatan, kenaikan pangkat, serta pembayaran bil-bil perkhidmatan Wi-Fi berbayar dan faktor promosi perkhidmatan Wi-Fi percuma. Berdasarkan keputusan IPA, terdapat lapan atribut untuk perkhidmatan Wi-Fi berbayar dan empat atribut bagi perkhidmatan Wi-Fi percuma berada dalam kuadran pertama. Atribut-atribut ini didapati penting tetapi prestasi mereka adalah rendah. Oleh itu, atribut-atribut ini perlu diberi penekanan untuk meningkatkan lagi tahap prestasi mereka. Manakala, analisis CSI pula menunjukkan bahawa kesemua lima faktor didapati berada pada tahap yang baik dan yang dikategorikan dalam zon acuh tak acuh. This study was conducted to determinefactors that affect the access to formal credit by smallholder farmers in An Giang province. Applying binary logistic regression analysis on a sample of 210 households, we found that the access to formal credit by these households are affected by five factors, namely total value of household assets, participation in organizations, demand for loans from credit institutions, loan guarantees and accumulated income, in which the demand for loans has the greatest impact. From the regression results, we built a model to forecast the access to formal credit by households with 93.8%. precise forecastprobability.

<p>This study examines the quality of service that includes variable Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy and Evidence Direct (Tangible) partially and simultaneously affect the decision of students to choose SMA Maitreyawira Batam. The method of multiple regression analysis used by the researcher is to know and examine how big influence of independent variable which numbers two or more. Multiple regression analysis is used to know the influence of independent variables on dependent variable. The number of samples of this research is 110 students of SMA Maitreyawira Batam. The result of the research shows that there is significant influence of service quality with variable of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangible to student decision to choose SMA Maitreyawira Batam.</p>

<p><strong>: </strong>This study aims to know the effect of awareness, tax penalties and quality of service tax authorities on the boarding house taxpayer compliance at Lowokwaru area. The kind of this research is kuantitatif with population is boarding house taxpayers at Lowokwaru. Based on data from the Dinas Pendapatan Daerah Kota Malang, until the end of July 2015 there were 673 boarding house. Data was collected by proportional random sampling, the number of sample is 87 boarding house taxpayers at 8 areas. The method of collecting data by distributing questionnaires and documentation. Analysis of the data using logistic regression analysis with SPSS 21 for Windows for helping. Based on the result of analysis, the conclution is awareness, tax penalties and quality of services tax authorities is not effect to the taxpayer compliance. That is because the application of rule boarding house are new for boarding house taxpayer at Lowokwaru area and Dinas Pendapatan Daerah is not give sosialiszation about the rule to the taxpayer. So the knowledge about the rule is still low and then all independence variables not effect to dependen variable. For the next researcher can find other factors that effect to the boarding house taxpayer complience.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Keywords:</strong><em> awareness, tax penalties, quality of services tax authorities, taxpayer compliance.</em></p>

Background/Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of exercise commitment facilitated by service quality of smartphone exercise Apps on continued exercise intention and provide primary data for developing and/or improving smartphone exercise Apps. Methods/Statistical analysis: A questionnaire survey was conducted amongst college students who have experiences in using exercise App(s) and regularly exercise. The questionnaire is composed of four parts asking about service quality, exercise commitment, continued exercise intention, which were measured with a 5-point Likert Scale, and demographics. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were carried out to analyze the obtained data with PASW 18.0.

Abstract Background The etiology of reflux esophagitis (RE) is multi-factorial. This study analyzed the relationship of depression, anxiety, lifestyle and eating habits with RE and its severity and further explored the impact of anxiety and depression on patients’ symptoms and quality of life. Methods From September 2016 to February 2018, a total of 689 subjects at Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University participated in this survey. They were divided into the RE group (patients diagnosed with RE on gastroscopy, n = 361) and the control group (healthy individuals without heartburn, regurgitation and other gastrointestinal symptoms, n = 328). The survey included general demographic information, lifestyle habits, eating habits, comorbidities, current medications, the gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) questionnaire (GerdQ), the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 depression scale and the General Anxiety Disorder-7 anxiety scale. Results The mean age and sex ratio of the two groups were similar. Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified the following factors as related to the onset of RE (p < 0.05): low education level; drinking strong tea; preferences for sweets, noodles and acidic foods; sleeping on a low pillow; overeating; a short interval between dinner and sleep; anxiety; depression; constipation; history of hypertension; and use of oral calcium channel blockers. Ordinal logistic regression analysis revealed a positive correlation between sleeping on a low pillow and RE severity (p = 0.025). Depression had a positive correlation with the severity of symptoms (rs = 0.375, p < 0.001) and patients’ quality of life (rs = 0.306, p < 0.001), whereas anxiety showed no such association. Conclusions Many lifestyle factors and eating habits were correlated with the onset of RE. Notably, sleeping on a low pillow was positively correlated with RE severity, and depression was positively related to the severity of symptoms and patients’ quality of life.

Zakat is one of the five points in rukun Islam and consists of two types: zakat nafs (soul) and zakat maal (wealth). One of the many kinds of zakat maal is plantage-product zakat. Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency is an area that contains 160,785.04 hectares of palm plantation land as recorded in 2016. The area also produced 7,493,696.18 tons of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) in the same year. The objective of this study is to identify the potential of plantage-product zakat (specifically palm plantage) and analyze the factors that affect farmers’ decision to dispense plantage-product zakat in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency. Logistic regression analysis was the method of analysis used in this study. Based on data obtained from Dinas Perkebunan Provinsi Sumatera Utara 2016, the potential of plantage-product zakat in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency reached 25.6 billion rupiahs in 2014; 21.6 billion rupiahs in 2015, and 370.4 billion rupiahs in 2016. The variables that significantly affected farmers’ decisions to dispense plantage-product zakat were comprehension of zakat, faith, rewards, Islamic study, and frequency of worship.

AbstractThis study was conducted to determine the significance of the influence of trust information, media literacy, HEXACO personality and Husnudzon towards the tendency of using social media for seeking information at student college. The subject of this research was 280 students taken by probability sampling technique, namely cluster sampling. CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) was used to test the validity of measuring instruments and logistic regression analysis is used to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that there was a significant joint effect of trust, media literacy, HEXACO's personality and Husnudzon towards the tendency of using social media for seeking information. Hypothesis test results show that six variables namely trust, structure of media literacy knowledge, personal media literacy locus, extraversion personality type, Husnudzon towards God, and Husnudzon towards others have a significant influence on the tendency of using social media for seeking information. Meanwhile, media literacy competencies, personality types; honesty-humility, emotionality, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to experience do not have a significant influence on the tendency of using social media for seeking information. The results also show the proportion of variance from the tendency of using social media for seeking information explained by all independent variables is 18.0% while the remaining 82.0% is influenced by other variables outside of this study.AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh trust informasi, literasi media, kepribadian HEXACO dan husnudzon terhadap kecenderungan menggunakan media sosial untuk mencari informasi pada mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 280 mahasiswa yang diambil dengan teknik probability sampling yaitu cluster sampling. CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) digunakan untuk menguji validitas alat ukur dan logistic regression analysis digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh secara bersama-sama yang signifikan dari trust, literasi media, kepribadian HEXACO dan husnudzon terhadap kecenderungan menggunakan media sosial untuk mencari informasi. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa enam variabel yaitu trust, struktur pengetahuan literasi media, lokus personal literasi media, tipe kepribadian extraversion,husnudzon terhadap Allah, dan husnudzon terhadap sesamamemiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kecenderungan menggunakan media sosial untuk mencari informasi. Sementara itu, kompetensi-keterampilan literasi media, tipe kepribadian; honesty-humility,emotionality, agreeableness, conscientiousness, dan openness to experience tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kecenderungan menggunakan media sosial untuk mencari informasi. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan proporsi varians dari kecenderungan menggunakan media sosial untuk mencari informasi yang dijelaskan oleh seluruh variabel independen adalah 18.0% sedangkan 82.0% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian ini.

Background: The internet has become an indispensable tool for communication, academic research, information and entertainment. However, heavy users of the internet lead to less confidence in social skills and the tendency to be isolated. The study aimed to assess the pattern of internet use and factors affecting problematic internet use among university students.Methods: This cross-sectional study conducted among the students of a university in Sarawak, Malaysia. A multistage cluster sampling technique was adapted to select the participants. Data were collected from 463 students by self-administered questionnaire. Hierarchical binary logistic regression analysis was done to determine the potential factors for problematic internet use.Results: The mean age of the students was 22 years, with a standard deviation of 1.6 years. Two-fifths (61.8%) of the students had no problematic internet use. However, 35.4% had moderate and 2.8% had severe problematic internet use. Hierarchical binary logistic regression analysis found that age of the students, year of study, duration of daily internet use and use of social networking like Skype appeared to be potential predictors of problematic internet use (p<0.05).Conclusions: This study was conducted in only one university, thus did not depict the overall scenarios of the country. The implications of the findings are still worth noting in the process of designing internet addiction studies among university students. Overall, this study has unearthed some useful insights which can serve as a guide to more elaborate studies.
