The paper seeks to establish a relationship between bioethics and biopolitics in the context of elderly people. Although aging itself is not a phenomenon, the attitude towards elderly people is highlighted as a phenomenon. Given that they often lose their psychophysical abilities and are faced with personal limitations, they inevitably face both the value system and the treatment of society. In this sense, biopolitics is manifested as the force and power whose instruments allow it to transform and shape a new culture, however, not by independent work, but relying on the help of bioethics, whose main concern is the attitude towards human dignity, life and health. Contrary to the culture of materialism and consumerism, bioethics has the task to reawaken in the modern society the meaning and value of human nature as the basis of ethics and healthy biopolitics in order to raise awareness of virtues as part of the nature of the human person. This aims to highlight the ethics of virtues as a new paradigm of biopolitics because it corresponds to that original and primordial human.

In the present paper * we set out to analyze the concept of leisure, from the perspective of its historical evolution, to understand the content and meanings thatspecialists from different scientific fields propose or accept. Leisure activities have, over time, involved religious, cultural and sporting activities. The emergence of urban services offered by libraries, museums, sports fields, etc. is related to this concept. We consider that in the post-modern society, the problem of leisure is very important, today there is a major change reflected in the choices of people, who have less and less free time, and the rising costs of participating in leisure activities of a sporting nature, first, restrict access to them for a large part of the urban population, to whom it is mainly addressed. The concept of leisure is related not only to the social or economic domain, through the relation with the tourism activities or services, but also to culture, some authors even talking about a culture of leisure, through which people not only relax or relax. They have fun, but they also have access to values that are vital to personal development. Also, the concept of leisure is related to health, fitness (physical condition).

ABSTRACTBackground:The positive effects of leisure activities on depressive symptomatology are well known. However, the extent to which emotional regulation variables moderate that relationship has scarcely been studied, especially in older people. The aim of this study is to analyze the moderating role of rumination in the relation between leisure activities and depressive symptoms. Methods:Participants in this study were 311 people, aged 60 to 90 years (mean age: 71.27 years; SD: 6.99; 71.7% women). We evaluated depressive symptomatology, frequency of leisure activities, and rumination. We carried out a hierarchical regression analysis to confirm the moderating role of rumination. Results:We obtained a model that explains 39.4% of the variance of depressive symptomatology. Main effects were found for the frequency of leisure activities (β = −0.397; p < 0.01) and for rumination (β = 0.497; p < 0.01). Moreover, we found a significant effect of the interaction between frequency of leisure activities and rumination (β = 0.110; p < 0.05), suggesting that rumination plays a moderating role in the relation between leisure activities and depressive symptomatology. Conclusions:A risk profile of elderly people may consist of those who engage in low levels of leisure activities but also use more frequently the dysfunctional emotional regulation strategy of rumination.

ABSTRACTStatistics concerning the aging of Quebec's population raise the question of the changes in the lifestyle of elderly people. What do these people do? What trends are emerging in the ways in which they occupy themselves? Are there constraints to the practice of some activities? To answer these questions, we have prepared a summary of many documents collected during a research project on the leisure activities of Quebec's elderly. These documents show that Quebec's elderly are in a better financial position today, retire earlier from work and are more active than their predecessors. Rates of participation in most physical, cultural and educational activities, in volunteer work and the proportion of elderly people who travel have increased during the 1980s. Thus, it seems that leisure is now a fundamental dimension of the life of these people. But elderly people cannot do all the activities they would like because of constraints which limit or prohibit them. If these constraints were eliminated, elderly people would be more active. Researchers should therefore continue to study changes affecting the pattern of activities of elderly people and at the same time, social practitioners should help them to remain active as long as possible.

This paper analyses the systems of kinship terms (KT) of two languages - Lithuanian and Hindi. Systematic analysis of KT in different Indo-European languages opens a possibility for comparative - typological study. which allows better understanding of family structure and kinship relations of different ethnic groups. The main goal here is to examine influence of patriarchal family traditions on formation and usage of KT in Lithuanian and Hindi. The historic-comparative method of study is mainly used in this paper. Functionally KT were studied in communication process. Today. when modern society experiences alienation, estrangement in kinship relations, and lack of respect for elderly people, research of KT is relevant not only in comparative linguistics and sociolinguistics but also in education of language culture.
