The current research aims to explore the impact of Science and Mathematics teachers’ self-efficacy on their intentions to leave through the mediating effects of their affective wellbeing (stress, burnout, and depression). Data were collected from 329 teachers of Science and Mathematics who were selected randomly with a clustered sampling method from 232 secondary schools in South and East Anatolia, Turkey. The structural equation model that yielded the best fit indicated that as teachers’ self-efficacy levels increase, their stress, burnout, depression, and intent-to-leave levels decrease. Teachers with high self-efficacy are less likely to develop intention-to-leave because of their positive affective well-being indicators. Results suggest that maths and science teachers who have optimistic beliefs in their capabilities can more easily cope with the stressors at work and have better affective well-being, and consequently, a lower level of intention-to-leave. The results provide educational leaders with insights as to how better to retain qualified Science and Mathematics teachers. We examined the impacts of emotional intelligence and self-leadership on coping with stress, and assessing the mediating roles that positive affect and self-efficacy play in this process. Participants were 575 students at 2 Chinese universities, who completed measures of coping with stress, self-leadership, emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and positive affect. The structural equation model analysis results indicated that self-efficacy fully mediated the relationship between emotional intelligence and active coping, as we had predicted. Further, self-leadership had a direct effect on active coping. However, positive affect and self-efficacy did not mediate the relationship between self-leadership and coping with stress. Implications are discussed in terms of theoretical contributions and interventions for coping with stress.

Exercise self-efficacy is a powerful predictor of physical activity behavior, which enhances health and well-being for older adults. Social relations have been proposed as influential precursors for exercise self-efficacy. In a longitudinal study of 160 older adults with osteoarthritis (76.9% women), the authors found that social support (but not social strain) significantly predicted exercise self-efficacy in a structural equation model examining cross-sectional data: χ2(178, N = 160) = 264.57, p < .01; RMSEA = .06; CFI = .92; TLI = .90. When data were examined longitudinally, however, social strain (but not social support) significantly predicted lower exercise self-efficacy 1 year later: χ2(233, N = 160) = 288.64, p < .01; RMSEA = .04; CFI = .96; TLI = .95. Results support the negativity effect, suggesting that social strain might be the more potent aspect of social relations and should be the target of interventions.

Background: This study aimed to identify the association between occupational stress and depression-well-being by proposing a comprehensive and flexible job burden-capital model with its corresponding hypotheses. Methods: For this research, 1618 valid samples were gathered from the electronic manufacturing service industry in Hunan Province, China; self-rated questionnaires were administered to participants for data collection after obtaining their written consent. The proposed model was fitted and tested through structural equation model analysis. Results: Single-factor correlation analysis results indicated that coefficients between all items and dimensions had statistical significance. The final model demonstrated satisfactory global goodness of fit (CMIN/DF=5.37, AGFI=0.915, NNFI=0.945, IFI=0.952, RMSEA=0.052). Both the measurement and structural models showed acceptable path loadings. Job burden and capital were directly associated with depression and well-being or indirectly related to them through personality. Multi-group structural equation model analyses indicated general applicability of the proposed model to basic features of such a population. Gender, marriage and education led to differences in the relation between occupational stress and health outcomes. Conclusions: The job burden-capital model of occupational stress-depression and well-being was found to be more systematic and comprehensive than previous models.

This research aims to examine and analyze the effect of stress, psyches environment and self-efficacy on employee productivity with burnout as an intervening variable for employees of The Indonesia Railway Industry. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The object of this research is 43 employees of The Indonesia Railway Industry. The approach used in this research is the Component or Variance Based Structural Equation Model with the Smart-PLS analysis tool. The result showed stress that has positive and significant effect on burnout of The Indonesia Railway Industry. Psyches environment that has a negative and significant effect on burnout of The Indonesia Railway Industry. Self-efficacy that has a negative and significant effect on burnout of The Indonesia Railway Industry. Stress that has a negative and significant on productivity of The Indonesia Railway Industry. Psyches environment that has a positive and significant on productivity of The Indonesia Railway Industry. Self-efficacy that has positive and significant on productivity of The Indonesia Railway Industry. Burnout that has negative and significant effect on productivity of The Indonesia Railway Industry.

<span>Previous research has increased our understanding of organizational commitment; however, few researchers have analyzed the antecedents and consequences of organizational commitment of marketing managers. A structural equation model explaining the organizational commitment of 335 marketing managers was developed and tested. Higher levels of distribute justice, job satisfaction, promotional opportunity and seniority were significant predictors of organizational commitment. Marketing managers intention to leave their jobs was highly influenced by their degree of organizational commitment. Kinship responsibility was not a significant predictor in the model.</span>
