Status of Farming and Marketing of Live Pangas (Pangasius hypophthalmus) from Trishal Upazila to Different Areas of Bangladesh

The research was conducted to collect information on the status of farming and marketing of live pangas (Pangasius hypophthalmus) from Trishal region to different areas of Bangladesh by interviewing stakeholder and secondary sources. The survey was carried out for seven months from May to November, 2016. Pangas farmers, arotdar, commission agents, wholesaler and retailers were interviewed in accordance with participatory rural methods. The results showed that the best harvesting season were found to be June to July and November to January. It was also found that 90% farmers harvested their fish completely and only 10% of farmers harvested partially. The price of pangas depends on market structure, quality, size, distance, weight, seasonal variation and regional perception. The prices of pangas were found to be highest of 130tk/kg and the lowest of 85tk/kg but sometimes 60 to 70tk/kg when the fish are dead (on the way to destined area) in different districts. On the other hand significant quantity loss was observed in fish 8%, 10%, 15%, 18%, and 19% after reaching to Savar, Manikgonj, Maowa, Sylhet, and Barisal from Trishal. Therefore, it was strongly recommended that proper handling of live fish must be ensured during transportation to attain quality pangas at consumer level. Environ. Abstract: Very little research has been devoted to the way in which the textual genetics approaches the manuscripts in the text processing. However the future of the genetics depends, partly, on the interest which one can carry to this new materiality of the manuscript. The notion of text, the concept of what text is, have they been changed, or at least modified by the use of text processing? To write a text is to elaborate a discourse in the form of an utterance and to record it. The order of the discourse, in other words, the semiotic (the linguistic recognizable) / semantic (the meaning expressed (uttered) in the discourse) ratio should in no way be modified by the use of text processing. What changes, on the other hand, it is the materialization of the paper support of the text and consequently the status of this materialization.

The fourth chapter of Style in Narrative turns from literature to cinema. Since a great deal of style is common to both literature and film, this chapter is necessarily shorter than its counterpart (chapter 1). Moreover, it focuses on the differences between literary and film style, thus what is not common to the two. The areas of divergence are principally a matter of the medium or perceptual interface. In consequence, the chapter focuses particularly on the visual and aural aspects of film. On the other hand, these aspects are more encompassing than is sometimes recognized, including for example aspects of narration. It also addresses differences in the authorship of films, and the status of Hollywood “continuity editing” as a broad stylistic norm for which there is no parallel in literature. The chapter ends with some brief comments on the way James Franco, in his film adaptation of As I Lay Dying, dealt with the (relatively underdiscussed) levels of perceptual narration and cinematic emplotment.

The starting point of this article is the relation between the provision of the SC Claudianum which turned the children born to a free woman by a slave into slaves, and the analogous regulation of the mysterious lex which Gaius mentions in § 86 of Book One of his Institutiones. The fact that almost the same provision appears in two different enactments has attracted the attention of many scholars. Some have concluded that the lex in question must have applied to Latins or peregrines, but not to Roman citizens. Others on the other hand ruled out the possibility of the Senatusconsultum containing a provision on children, since their status depended directly on the lex. I claim that both of the regulations which Gaius describes are authentic and both applied to Roman citizens. Notwithstanding obvious analogies, they were not identical. Not only did they address different social problems, but they also laid down different procedures for the acknowledgement of the slave status of the children. Once we have clarified the relation between these regulations, we are in a better position to understand both the way in which the SC Claudianum functioned as a whole, and its presumable aim. I devote the last part of my article to the latter problem. I argue against with the claim that the aim of the Senatusconsultum was to punish the women and hence to stop them from cohabiting with slaves. On the contrary, such liaisons were a familiar phenomenon in Roman society, as the epigraphical material shows, and they were accepted, providing they observed well-defined conditions and were under the control of the slave’s master. Te main aim of the SC Claudianum was to delineate the bounds within which the cohabitation of free women with slaveswas admissible.

Day-to-day art criticism and art theory are qualitatively distinct. Whereas the best art criticism entails a closeness to its objects which is attuned to particularity, art theory inherently makes generalized claims, whether these claims are extrapolated from the process of art criticism or not. However, this article argues that these dynamics are effectively reversed if we consider the disparity between the criticism of so-called political art and attempts over the last century to elaborate theory which accounts for the political in art qua art. Art theory has located the political force of art precisely in the way that its particularity opposes or resists the status quo. Art criticism, on the other hand, tends to treat artwork as a text to be interpreted whose particularity may as well dissolve when translated into discourse. Drawing from the work of Theodor W. Adorno, this article argues that political art theory calls for art criticism more attuned to experience if it is to elucidate art’s critical valence.

Chapter 5 explores the odes for Psaumis of Kamarina and Ergoteles of Himera. After a brief survey of the history of the two cities and the cultural context for the poems, the chapter then argues that Psaumis and Ergoteles offer contrasting examples of the way that Pindar mitigates the status of hybrid citizens in Sicily by writing the victors themselves into their local landscapes and civic ideology that is bound to the landscape. As examples of an immigrant (Ergoteles) and, at least possibly, a Greek of Sikel ethnicity (Psaumis), Ergoteles and Psaumis contrast with the tyrants Hieron and Theron. The poet, it suggests, emphasizes Psaumis’ control of both the landscape and cityscape of Kamarina in Olympian 4 and Olympian 5 and converts him into a quasi-mythical benefactor of the city. On the other hand, Ergoteles, an exiled Cretan, is integrated into the civic fabric of Himera through a bath in the hot springs of the Nymphs. This chapter proposes that Pindar’s emphasis on landscape in the Sicilian odes is a feature that transcends the divide between tyrant and non-tyrant victors. As in the odes for Syracusans and Akragantines, local landscapes in the odes for Kamarina and Himera participate in the formation of civic traditions. It argues, however, that in the cases of odes for victors who are themselves establishing their civic status the victor himself becomes affiliated with the local landscape through Pindar’s poetry.

In the apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians, one of the principal theological debate sticking to the surface is the status as children of Abraham through circumcision. Because according to a group of Jews Christian who came to Galatia, Gentile Christians shall be circumcised, and implement the law, if they want to obtain salvation. Because safety is only given to those who become the children of Abraham in full. On the other hand, Paul rejected that obligation. According to Paul, by faith in Christ, the son of Abraham, Christians in Galatia, having status as the children of Abraham and inherit the blessings of God's promise that is salvation. In this article I argue that the debate was due on the one hand, Jewish Christian groups that cling to the tradition of circumcision because of the tradition that has been in effect since Abraham and believed to be the way of salvation, while Paul emphasis on faith and obey the decision of the council in Jerusalem that circumcision is not required for the non-Jewish.

The aim of this paper is to present how the imperative mood is defined in the descriptions of the inflection system of the contemporary Polish language. First of all, imperative mood is considered to be the value of one of the inflection categories of mood, and the forms representing it, e.g. zrób! (‘do!’), myj! (‘wash!’) are considered to be in opposition to the forms of the declarative and the conditional moods. On the other hand, the imperative is a grammatical means that expresses the so-called deontic modality and utterances with imperative forms are treated, before anything else, as acts of directive speech. This way of defining the imperative mood is the reason why the status of such forms as wygraj! (‘win!’), otrzymaj! (‘receive!’), (nie) umieraj! (‘[not] die!’) or bądź (szczęśliwy) (‘be [happy]’) is problematic, because they constitute a non-directive use of the imperative mood. The conclusion is that the way of defining the imperative mood in Polish requires clarification.

Function of coprophagous beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae, Geotrupidae, Hydrophilidae) in cattle pastures inferred from pitfall trapping dataAn analysis of data on the dry weight biomass of coprophagous beetles in standardized dung (4.5 l) was conducted in order to characterize the spatial and the seasonal distribution of the beetles' biomass in cattle pastures and to elucidate their function in dung decomposition. Nested Anova with factors of farm, site (nested in farm), seasonal period and year was used to evaluate the effect of these factors on the biomass of four functional species groups: the dung dwellers ofScarabaeidae(subfamilyAphodiinae), the dung dwellers ofHydrophilidae, the small tunnellers ofScarabaeidae(subfamilyCoprinae) and the large tunnellers ofGeotrupidae. The spatial variation of biomass (between the sites and the farms) was insignificant (P>0.05) in the two dung-dweller groups and in the large-tunnellers group. On the other hand, a significant (P<0.05) seasonal variation of biomass was found in all but the large tunneller group. In dung dwellers, the spring biomass was formed mainly by two species,Aphodius prodromusandA. sphacelatus. In summer, most of the biomass was accounted for bySphaeridium lunatum, S. scarabaeoidesandA. rufipes. In the two tunneller groups,Onthophagus fracticornis, Geotrupes stercorariusandG. spinigerformed a majority of the biomass in dung.

Ibn al-Arabi (1165-1240), that was the effect of all this; But more mystic (mystic) circles came out of the way. This work, written by Ibn al-Arabi's works (especially Futuhati Mekkiye), also contains a very small number of other relevant sources.

Discussions of closely associated notions of practical necessity, volitional necessity, and moral incapacity have profited from a focus on cases of agential crisis to further our understanding of how features of an agent’s character might bind her. This paper turns to agents in crises in order to connect this way of being bound to the phenomenon of moral heroism. The connection is fruitful in both directions. Importing practical necessity into examinations of moral heroism can explain the special sense of bindingness moral heroes frequently express while preserving the status of heroic acts as supererogatory. It also helps explain how heroes persevere and act as so few others do. On the other hand, the context of moral heroism allows a fuller development of some features of the concept of practical necessity, shedding more illuminating light on the roots of practical necessity in character through recent findings in the psychology of moral exemplars.
