This study described about the morphometric characteristics of Botia lohachata, collected from the Kompo River at Rajshahi , were studied for a period of four months from July to October 2014. Length frequency distributions, length-length relationships, length-weight relationship, sex ratio, Fulton's condition factor and fecundity of B. lohachata were studied in the present study. This is the maiden research conducted on B. lohachata in Bangladesh. The highest mean total lengths were 61.16±4.77 mm (combined sex), 63.80±4.79mm (female) and 58.17 ±3.30mm (male). Maximum 43.34% female fishes were belonging to the length category of 61-65 mm where as 61.41% male were belonging to 56-60 mm. Similar findings are also presented for standard length, fork length, body depth, dorsal length, pectoral length, pelvic length and anal length. Linear relationships were also studied among mentioned lengths. Strong positive correlations were observed in all cases. The highest mean body weight was weight 2.67±0.71g (October) in combined sex, this value was 3.10±0.59 in female (September) and 2.25±0.38g in male (September). Strong positive correlations were also observed between total length and body weight. Observed value of sex indicated that 54% specimens were female and remaining 46% were male. The value of chi square (x2) was 2.4 at 1 degree of freedom (p<0.005) strongly indicated that the observed sex ratio not differs significantly from the expected ratio (1:1).The Fulton’s condition factors In case of combined sexes, the highest condition factor 1.156±0.126 was recorded in month of October, female highest condition factor 1.190±0.136 and male highest condition factor 1.135±0.103. This study described some biological parameters including lengths, length-length relationships and Fulton’s condition factors of Gagata cenia in the Padma River of Bangladesh, based on 1120 specimens collected from May to November, 2012. Maximum 39.78% female fishes were belonging to the length category of 55-60 mm whereas 51.06% male were belonging to 50-55 mm. The highest mean total lengths were found 66.51±10.28 mm (combined sex), 70.12±09.49 mm (female) and 61.08±09.45 mm (male) in the month of June. Similar findings are also presented for standard length, fork length, body depth, dorsal length, pectoral length, pelvic length and anal length. Linear relationships were also studied among mentioned lengths. Strong positive correlations were observed in all cases. Speraman’s Rank test indicated that there was a strong, positive correlation between total length and condition factor in female, which was statistically significant (rs=0.210, P=0.044). In male, there was no significant correlation between these two (rs=0.167, P=0.262). The Mann-Whitney U-test showed that the female individuals had the highest condition factor (Mean rank of 79.76). There was a statistically significant differences in the Fulton’s condition factor between males and females (two tailed, Mann-Whitney U = 1324).

The reproduction of Liza falcipinnis were investigated in both lagoons (Ebrié and Grand-Lahou) from January 2006 to december 2007. 2162 specimens were examined (914 and 1248 respectively in Ebrié and Grand-Lahou lagoons). Fork length was taken to the nearest 1 mm, and total body weight (TW) and eviscerated body weight (EW) to the nearest 0.1 g. The gonads and the liver were then established removed, weighted to the nearest 0.001g. The reproduced period of Liza falcipinnis was established by analysing the temporal evolution of the frequency of the maturity stages and the monthly variations in the gonadosomatic index (GSI), the hepatosomatic index (HIS) and the condition factor (K). Sex ratio was established taking into account the sex determinations. The size at which 50 % of the specimens became mature (FL50) was estimated. The sex ratio (1:1.24) and (1:1.40) observed respectively in Ebrié and Grand-Lahou lagoons were in favour of females. The first sexual maturity size was 21.0 cm (FL) for males and 27.9 cm (FL) for females in Ebrié lagoon and 24.7 cm (FL) for males and 27.9 cm (FL) for females in Grand-Lahou lagoon. Liza falcipinnis spawns in lagoon and the spawning period ranged from December to April.

Some biological parameters of Salmostoma bacaila – including sex ratio, length-frequency distributions (LFDs), size at sexual maturity, spawning season, length-weight relationships (LWRs) and condition factor – were studied. Samples were collected seasonally during June 2017 to May 2018 from a tributary of the Payra River. The overall sex ratio was significantly different from the expected value of 1:1 (p < 0.001), in favour of male specimens. Females were significantly larger than males. Size at sexual maturity was estimated at 7.6~7.7 cm total length. Seasonal variations in the gonadosomatic index (GSI) indicate that the main spawning season is from spring to summer. The LWRs showed negative allometric growth in both sexes, but with clear seasonal variation. Fulton’s condition factor varied in both sexes and was attributed to variations in GSI with maturity. The fin¬dings of this study will be helpful for management and conservation of S. bacaila populations.

The mean values of total length (75.89 ± 13.09 mm), standard length (54.98 ± 7.07 mm), fork length (60.86 ± 9.14 mm), head length (14.75 ± 2.05 mm), snout length (3.79 ± 0.61 mm), pre-dorsal length (31.53 ± 3.18 mm), height of body (20.2 ± 4.11 mm) and total weight (6.62 ± 3.55g) of combined sex of Puntius chola were calculated. Relationships between total length and standard length, fork length, head length, snout length and pre-dorsal length of Puntius chola were found to be linear, positive and highly significant. The length-weight relationship in male, female and combined sex were determined as Log W=-4.510+2.810 Log L, LogW=-4.204+2.685 Log L and Log W=4.465+2.808 Log L respectively. The mean values of condition factor from observed value (ko) of male, female and combined sex were determined as 1.36 ± 0.089, 1.599 ± 0.181 and 1.515 ± 0.192 respectively. The mean values of condition factor from calculated value (kc) of male, female and combined sex were found to be 1.362 ± 0.054, 1.6 ± 0.124 and 1.511 ± 0.075 respectively. The mean values of relative condition factor of male, female and combined sex were registered as 0.999 ± 0.044 , 0.999 ± 0.064 and 0.999 ± 0.112 respectively. Sex ratio was found to be 1:1. Yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) is one of the important catch for the fishing industry in Indonesia. Length-weight relationship study is one of important tools to support fisheries management. However it could not be done to yellowfin tuna landed in Benoa port since they are in the form of gilled-gutted condition. The objectives of this study are to determine the relationship between gilled-gutted weight (GW) and whole weight (WW), to calculate length weight relationship between fork length (FL) and estimated whole weight (WW) and to assess the relative condition factor (Kn) of yellowfin tuna in Eastern Indian Ocean. Data were collected from three landing sites i.e. Malang, East Java; Benoa, Bali and Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara from January 2013 to February 2014. Linear regression analysis applied to test the significance baseline between weight-weight relationships and log transformed length weight relationship. Relative condition factor (Kn) used to identify fish condition among length groups and months. The results showed a significant positive linear relationships between whole weight (WW) and gilled-gutted weight (GW) of T. albacares (p<0.001). There was a significant positive linier relationships between log transformed fork length and log transformed whole weight of T. albacares (p<0.001). Relative condition factor (Kn) showed declining pattern along with length increase and varied among months. The findings from this study provide data for management of yellowfin tuna stock and population.

Abstract The objectives of this study were to determine the length-weight relationships (LWRs), chelae length (ChL)-width (ChW) relationships, carapace length (CL)-width (CW) relationships, sexual dimorphism, and condition factor (K) of Cherax gherardiae from Maybrat, West Papua Indonesia. The sex ratio of C. gherardiae was found to be 1.04:1. The LWRs for males, females, and all individuals were W = 0.225L1.96, W = 0.181L2.02, and W = 0.187L2.03, respectively. Males and females exhibited negative allometric growth (b<3). There was no significant difference in lengths between males and females; however, the weight of males was greater than that of females. The K values for males, females, and all individuals were 3.17, 3.09, and 3.13, respectively. The ChL of the crayfish ranged from 1.0 to 7.5 cm, and the ChW ranged from 0.4 to 2.5 cm. The CL of crayfish ranged from 1.6 to 6.0 cm, and the CW ranged from 0.6 to 4.1 cm. Males had longer chelae and carapaces than did females. There was no significant difference in chelae width or carapace width between males and females. The ChL-ChW relationships for males, females, and all individuals were ChW = 0.312ChL + 0.260, ChW = 0.397ChL - 0.050, and ChW = 0.345ChL + 0.119, respectively. The CL-CW relationships for males, females, and all individuals were CW = 0.750CL-0.955, CW = 0.526CL - 0.178, and CW = 0.635CL-0.543, respectively.

Biology of bonylip barb (Osteochilus vittatus Valenciennes, 1842) in Benanga Reservoir, East Kalimantan is not yet known. The purpose of this study was to analyze distribution of the length and body weight of fishes, sex ratio, gonad maturity level, length-body weight relationship, and condition factor. In total 278 fishes samples were collected during the five months, from January to May 2019 with a purposive sampling method at Benanga Reservoir, and gill net with  mesh size 0.5; 1; and 1.5  inches used. The results of this research showed that the total length of the fishes analyzed ranged from 72.21–196.57 mm and body weight ranged from 5.12–89.21 g. The sex ratio of male and female were 1:2.02. The male and female fishes were dominated by mature gonad. The length-body weight relationship models calculated for the total fishes sample was W=1x10-5L2.967 (r=0.988) for males, W=5x10-6L3.199 (r=0.989) for females and W=7x10-6L3.126 (r=0.987) for both sexes. Isometric growth patterns (b=3) were observed in males, meanwhile positive allometric growth patterns (b>3) were observed in females and both sexes. Calculation of the condition factor (K) resulted in 1.181±0.117 for males, 0.949±0.094 for females, and 1.026±0.150 for all specimens. The condition factors of bonylip barb from the Benanga Reservoir inside the range recommended as suitable for freshwater fish species in the tropical regions.

The research was conducted in December 2016 in Totok Bay, Ratatotok Subdistrict, with the aim to know the size structure, growth pattern and condition factor of red lolosi fish (Caesio chrysozona). It is expected that this research can provide basic information to monitor the presence of these fish in the future, especially in the territorial waters of Ratatotok. The name of red lolosi fish is a local name in North Sulawesi. Fish with the scientific name Caesio chrysozona is commonly found around the coral reefs and shallow rocky coastal waters. Data were collected in the field by taking a random sample of fish from the catch of fishermen who are still in a fishing boat. The number of fish samples taken to be analyzed were 66. Based on the measurement of 66 individuals of red lolosi, the structure size is as follows: male (51 head) with total length of 180 mm - 259 mm, length of fork 153 mm - 216 mm, and raw length 135mm - 200 mm. While body weight ranges from 71.38 gr - 217.18 grams and females (15 fish) with a total length range of 196 mm - 243 mm, fork length of 165 mm - 209 mm, and standard length of 149 mm - 185 mm. While body weight ranges from 110.22 gr - 193.99 gr. The growth pattern of red lolosi fish both male and female is a negative allometric growth pattern (b <3) where the length of fish increase faster than weight gain. The condition factor of each individual male and female varies with the value of the male condition factor ranging from 0.8094 - 1.2547 and females ranged from 0.9668 to 1.0281. Because the value of K ranged 1 then the conclusion is that male and female of red lolosi fish have a less flat shape. This causes the loss of weight of fish due to the influence of food, age, sex and gonad maturity. ABSTRAK Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2016 di Teluk Totok Kecamatan Ratatotok, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui struktur ukuran, pola pertumbuhan dan faktor kondisi dari ikan lolosi merah (Caesio chrysozona).  Ikan lolosi merah adalah nama lokal di Sulawesi Utara, dan ditemukan cukup berlimpah di  sekitar terumbu karang dan perairan dangkal yang berbatu-batu di Teluk TotokPengambilan sampel di lapangan  dilakukan dengan metoda sampling yaitu dengan cara mengambil sampel ikan secara acak dari hasil tangkapan nelayan yang masih berada dalam perahu nelayan.  Jumlah sampel ikan yang diambil untuk dianalisis sebanyak  66 ekor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terhadap 66 individu lolosi merah, diperoleh struktur ukuran sebagai berikut: jantan (51 ekor) dengan kisaran panjang total 180 mm - 259 mm,.  Sedangkan berat tubuh berkisar dari 71.38 gr – 217.18 gr,  dan betina (15 ekor) dengan kisaran panjang total 196 mm - 243 mm, Sedangkan berat tubuh berkisar dari 110.22 gr – 193.99 gr.  Pola pertumbuhan ikan lolosi merah baik jantan maupun betina adalah pola pertumbuhan allometrik negatif ( b < 3)  dimana pertambahan panjang ikan lebih cepat dari  pertambahan beratnya. Faktor kondisi setiap individu jantan dan betina bervariasi dengan nilai faktor kondisi jantan  berkisar 0.8094 - 1.2547 dan Betina berkisar 0.9668 - 1.0281.

The aim of this paper was to analyze some morphometric characteristics and the correlation between them for Russian sturgeon juveniles (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii) reared in a recirculating aquaculture system fed at different fed with different ratio: 1% body weight (BW), 1.5% BW, 2% BW and ad libitum feeding (which was around 2.8% BW).Fish, with an average body mass around 248.194 ± 1.59 g. Following biometric measurements were made for each fish, including weight (W), total length (TL), standard length (SL), fork length (FL), maximum body depth (last depth of caudal peduncle, H); preanal distance (AD), predorsal distance (PD), length of head (C), preorbital distance (PO), length of pectoral fin (LPF), interorbital distance (ID), maximum width of head (MH), width of mouth (WM), width of the head at the level of the mouth (WHM). The obtained results showed significant differences between all morphometric measurements (p<0.05) for all the experimental variants, emphasizing that in the ad libitum feeding all morphometric measurements were significantly higher than in the other experimental variants. In order to highlight more eloquent these differences, were developed some linear regressions between the morphometric measurements and significant positive correlation (p<0.05) between dependent and independent variables were found.

The growth pattern and condition factors of three spots gourami Trichopodus trichopterus (Pallas, 1770) from Lempake Dam, East Kalimantan, are not yet informed. These studies aimed to investigate fishes' length and body weight, sex ratio, length-bodyweight relationships, growth patterns, and condition factors. The collection of fish sampling was carried out monthly from February to May 2020. A total of 912 individual samples of sepat rawa fish were caught by 15 fish traps using a purposive sampling method at three stations. This research showed that the total length of the fishes analyzed ranged from 31.68 to 103.53 mm, while body weight ranged from 1.12 to 7.22 g. The sex ratio in males and females was 1:1.19. The regression model of the length-body weight relationships calculated was W=3x10-5L2.861 for total samples, W=5x10-5L2.710 for males, and W=2x10-5L2.977 for females. The length-body weight was obtained strong relationships in all samples and sexes, with the regression coefficient (r) ranging from 0.965 to 0.977. An isometric growth pattern and the growth coefficient “b”=2.977 was observed in females, while a negative allometric growth pattern in males and both sexes, with the growth coefficient “b”= 2.710 and “b”=2.861. The values of relative condition factor (Kn) observed for females were ranged from 1.472 to 1.555 and for males ranged from 1.024 to 1.082. The growth pattern and relative condition factor of three spot gourami in the Lempake Dam were affected by the number of fishes in gonad mature condition and body shape.
