Rice Husk Ash usually used as pozzolanic material admixtures that have been used for Geopolimer concrete. This study report on the behavior on mechanical properties (compressive and flexural) of rice husk ash geopolimer concrete using activator sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide with variation comparison of sodium silicate to sodium hydroxide was 0,25; 0,1; and 1,25. Concrete testing included the determination of compressive and flexural properties.  It was shown that the behavior of compressive properties of comparison of sodium silicate to sodium hydroxide 1,0 was the optimum result and the behavior of flexure properties gotoptimum result on the comparison of sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide was 1,25.

The use of waste to development of products has been an increasingly routine practice today. In this work was used rice husk ash from combustion boiler for energy for synthesis of sodium silicate. The silicate was obtained by means of ash fusion with sodium hydroxide at a temperature of 1200°C for 2 hours. For the synthesis of 4A-zeolite was performed hydrothermal reaction of sodium silicate, previously obtained with sodium aluminate and sodium hydroxide. The zeolite obtained was characterized by X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The results have indicated the formation of 4A-zeolite.

The main purpose of this article is to develop an environmentally friendly and economically effective process to produce silica from rice husk ash. Sodium silicate solution was prepared by the reaction of rice husk ash and sodium hydroxide solution, and then the sodium silicate solution was used as the raw material for the preparation of silica with sodium bicarbonate. During the reaction, the by-product can be passed into CO2 to prepare sodium bicarbonate what can be reutilized. Experimental route achieved resource recycling and environment-friendly, low energy consumption, zero emissions and so on. Meanwhile the microstructures of the silica powders were characterized by Transmission electron microscope (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Thermo gravimetric/Differential thermal analyzer (TG-DTA).The purity of silicon was up to 99.43% and the particle size was 200-300nm.

This research studies the potential for using waste ash from industrial and agricultural by-products as a pozzolanic material. Classified fly ash (FA) and ground rice husk ash (RA) were the materials used. Water requirement, compressive strength and porosity of cement mortar were investigated. Test results indicated that FA and RA (waste ash) have a high potential to be used as a good pozzolanic material. The water requirement of mortar mix decreases with the increases in fly ash content. For ground rice husk ash (RA), the water requirement of mortar mix increases with the increases in rice husk ash content. In addition, the reduction in porosity was associated with the increase in compressive strength.

The optimized RHA, by controlled burn or grinding, has been used as a pozzolanic material in cement and concrete. Using it provides several advantages, such as improved strength and durability properties, and environmental benefits related to the disposal of waste materials and to reduced carbon dioxide emissions. Up to now, little research has been done to investigate the use of RHA as supplementary material in cement and concrete production .The main objective of this work is to study the suitability of the rice husk ash as a pozzolanic material for cement replacement in concrete. Utilization of rice husks in Indonesia in general is still very limited. Utilization of silica contained in rice husk ash, which has been used, among others, in the manufacture of sodium silicate. Silica compounds themselves can be used in and manufacturing basic materials for electronic and ceramic equipment, glass, rubber, cosmetic products, and pharmaceuticals. The addition of Mg can increase the silica content (SiO2) in rice husk ash. The best results show an effective Mg ratio of Mg addition to increase silica content is 1: 1. produces the highest amount of silica which is 58.12% of the rice husk ash with a size of 140 mesh

Aluminium matrix composites (AMCs) used extensively in various engineering fields due to their exceptional mechanical properties. In this present study, aluminium matrix composites (AMCs) such as aluminium alloy (A356) reinforced with rice husk ash particles (RHA) are made to explore the possibilities of reinforcing aluminium alloy. The stir casting method was applied to produce aluminium alloy (A356) reinforced with various amounts of (2%, 4%, and 6%) rice husk ash (RHA) particles. Physical treatment was carried out before the rice husk ash manufacturing process. The effect of mechanical strength of the fabricated hybrid composite was investigated. Therefore, impact test, tensile stress, compressive stress, and some other tests were carried out to analyse the mechanical properties. From the experimental results, it was found that maximum tensile, and compressive stress were found at 6% rice husk ash (RHA) and aluminium matrix composites (AMCs). In future, the optimum percentages of rice husk ash (RHA) to fabricate the hybrid composites will be determined. Also, simulation by finite element method (FEM) will be applied for further investigation.
