The article is devoted to the development of practical methods to ensure the durability of asphalt pavement on a rigid basis of roads. The goal of the work. Practical methods of ensuring the durability of asphalt pavement on a rigid basis of roads are proposed. The object of research is asphalt-concrete pavement on a hard base of highways. Research method: analytical-experimental using the provisions of the theory of elasticity and thermo-viscoelasticity and experimental methods of research of track formation in asphalt concrete pavement on a rigid basis; mathematical statistics; statistical analysis of scientific publications, technical and normative literature. The article presents the features of the design of grain warehouses of asphalt mixtures, namely: The proposed features of the design of grain warehouses of asphalt concrete, taking into account the rate of resistance to track formation; Requirements for designing the grain composition of asphalt concrete of high resistance to track formation with optimization in terms of estimated service life are proposed. The conducted researches allowed to develop a method of estimating the homogeneity from the time of transportation of the asphalt concrete mixture in the car body to the object according to the resistance of asphalt concrete to the formation of the track. Requirements for checking the flow rate in the crushed-mastic asphalt-concrete mixture due to the terms of its storage and transportation have been developed, which avoids segregation of the coating. The criterion of strength of asphalt concrete pavement on a rigid basis of the highway is improved due to the consideration of different time of action of tensile load at bending that will allow to design more precisely a covering of the increased durability. The technique of the minimum admissible temperature of consolidation of asphalt concrete mix at the device of a covering on a rigid basis of highways that will allow to provide durability of a covering is offered for practical application. Asphalt concrete pavement which is currently built in accordance with the existing requirements does not withstand the standard service life. Various kinds of damages occur. Fiber reinforcement of asphalt concretes is one of the effective means to deal with deformations and fractures of road pavements, such as rutting, buckling, crack formation and shear. Chemical fibers serving as reinforcement are of great concern herein. The major purpose of this work was evaluation of reinforcement fibers resistance to natural environment and climatic impacts within the conditions of experimental production construction and studying compactibility of asphalt concrete mixture with fiber reinforcement. Infrared spectroscopy and physical-chemical investigations of fibers were used to study changing properties of fiber-forming polymer. Compactibility of asphalt concrete mixture with fiber reinforcement was determined upon compaction factor. Research results revealed insignificant influence of natural environment and climatic impacts on the properties of fiber reinforcement material. In order to obtain the standard compaction factor of asphalt concrete additional compacting impact is not required.

Since twentieth Century, the middle of 80's, our country highway enters the building climax. By the end of 2011, our country highway traffic mileage of 85000 kilometers, accounting for about 80% of the asphalt concrete pavement. Along with the age increasing and the mileage of highway's growth, has long suffered from the traffic load and environmental effects of the asphalt pavement will have varying degrees of damage, repair workload of asphalt pavement will be bigger and bigger, more and more complex. In this situation, has the important meaning of preventive maintenance of Expressway Asphalt pavement. This paper introduces the present situation of preventive maintenance of highway at home and abroad, and points out the significance of preventive maintenance on highway and economic development, discusses the measures and preventive maintenance of asphalt pavement.

With global climate becoming warmer more and more attention is being paid to cold materials. Lower surface temperature contributes to decrease the temperature of the ambient air as heat convection intensity from a cooler surface is lower. Such temperature reductions can have significant impacts on cooling energy consumption in urban areas, a fact of particular importance in hot climate cities. The black surface of asphalt pavement absorbs more heat from the sun, and higher temperature of pavement surface contributes to increase the effect of the urban heat island, but affects the performance and life span of a pavement. Asphalt pavements form an integral part of any transportation system and are typically engineered to last 15 years or more, but many have been failing early due to potholes, cracks, raveling and other problems. Cool pavement are mainly aimed to decrease the effect of asphalt pavement on the urban heat island, but the influence of cold materials on the high-temperature performance of asphalt concrete pavement is paid little attention relatively. In this paper, it’s discussed that the effect of asphalt-pavement high temperature and its improving measures. And the mechanism of cool pavements is introduced, and possible technologies applied to asphalt pavements are reviewed. The idea of asphalt concrete pavement with automatic temperature-control is put forward.

Fatigue crack is one of the main road damage forms of asphalt pavement structure, and serious impact the asphalt pavement performance and service life. Asphalt mixture has typical viscoelastic, and can get Burgers model and viscoelastic parameters form creep test. Using finite element method of fracture mechanics, simulation under dynamic loading, research crack extending behavior of common asphalt concrete pavement and mixed with 0.2% of sisal fiber asphalt concrete pavement. From the results, it can find out that when mixed with sisal fiber, the anti-fatigue cracking performance is obvious enhancement.

Asphalt concrete of various brands is mainly used as a road surface. The quality and durability of the coating depends on its density. To achieve the required density of the asphalt concrete pavement, road rollers are used. The working body of the roller is a metal drum or a set of pneumatic tires. The article discusses the process of the asphalt concrete mixture compaction with a smooth metal drum. A rheological model of the force interaction of a smooth drum with a material is adopted, which includes elastic, viscous and plastic elements. The adopted model was corrected taking into account the investigated process of elastic aftereffect that occurs in the asphalt concrete mixture during compaction. The law of behavior of asphalt-concrete mixture with elastic aftereffect is established. A simulation model has been developed to study the behavior of a material in the process of elastic aftereffect. In the course of dynamic modeling, the relationship between the physical and mechanical characteristics of the compacted material with the design and technological parameters of the road roller was established. A statistical analysis of the design parameters of existing models of road rollers has been carried out. The results of the analysis, as well as the obtained dependencies, can be used to designate the technological modes of operation of a set of road rollers when compacting the asphalt concrete pavement of a motor road. Taking into account the elastic aftereffect when assigning the operating modes of the compaction equipment will improve the compaction efficiency, as well as the quality of the resulting coating.

The high temperature of asphalt concrete pavement decreases its bearing capacity, thus leading to serious rutting. In this paper, a coated thermal resistance/heat reflection pavement construction technology with a coating of 2-3mm on the asphalt pavement is mainly introduced, which can reflect and prevent sunshine and reduce the surface temperature of asphalt pavement for the purpose of preventing rutting. In addition, the coated thermal resistance/heat reflection paving method is introduced, which is of certain reference to the promotion and application of coated thermal resistance/heat reflection pavement.
