In view of the current and urgent environmental protection needs, the use of industrial solid waste in China’s Ningdong is becoming more and more important. In this paper, NaP zeolite with good physical properties is synthesized by using coal gasification coarse slag (CGCS) as the raw material, without the addition of a silicon and aluminum source, without the addition of a template agent, and without high-temperature calcination. Add a small amount of NaOH and deionized water to the CGCS to adjust the molar ratio to SiO2:Al2O3:Na2O:H2O = 5.2:1.0:5.0:100. The effects of aging time, crystallization temperature, and crystallization time parameters on synthetic zeolite were studied. The raw materials and the obtained zeolite were tested by XRF, XRD, SEM, FT-IR, TG-DSC, BET, and other technologies. The results show that the specific surface area of the synthesized NaP zeolite can reach 161.06 m2/g, which has the characteristics of large specific surface area, regular morphology, and high crystallinity. We obtained NaP zeolite through a simple and low-cost synthesis method. The synthesized NaP zeolite was used to simulate the removal of ammonia nitrogen in wastewater, and the optimal removal rate was 92.67%. Among them, Na+ plays an important role in the synthesis of NaP zeolite and ion exchange with NH4+. Our research provides new ideas for solving the large-scale accumulation of CGCS and treating ammonia nitrogen in industrial wastewater. Thus, it is a promising green environmental protection and “treating waste by waste” route.

The low-cost blue coke industrial by-product, blue coke powder was used as raw material for the production of porous carbons adsorbent by steam activating at temperature of 800°C under the atmosphere of N2 for 60 minutes. The specific surface area and pore properties of the adsorbent were characterized by using N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms. Furthermore, the adsorption effects of the adsorbent for ammonia nitrogen in coking wastewater were investigated in terms of particle size, dosage of absorbent and adsorption time. The results show that the specific surface area is 620.94m2/g, the total pore volume is 0.4442cm3/g and the average mesopore size is 4.5808nm, the adsorbent possesses predominant mesoporous structures. In aeration, the removal rate of ammonia nitrogen can reach to 39.5% under the conditions of the ammonia nitrogen concentration of 625mg/L, the dosage of adsorbent 10g/L at the adsorption time of 60 minutes.

At present, most of molecular sieves (MCM-48) are prepared by using dual template agents. In this paper, the effect of different template agents on the synthesis of MCM-48 under the same conditions is studied. MCM-48 was synthesized by different combinations of templates (CTAB + TEAOH, CTAB + TBAB, CTAB + P123). The specific surface areas of them were compared under different crystallization temperature and different crystallization time. The results show that the specific surface area of MCM-48 prepared by CTAB + TEAOH is higher than that of other dual template agnets at the same crystallization time and temperature when the molar ratio of CTAB to another template is 9.

In order to prepare carbon nanotubes with high specific surface area, small diameter, low resistivity, high purity and high catalytic activity, the Fe-Mo/Al2O3 catalyst was prepared based on the microreactor. The influence of different Fe/Al molar ratios on the catalyst and the carbon nanotubes prepared was studied through BET, SEM, TEM and other detection methods. Studies have shown that the pore structure of the catalyst is dominated by slit pores at a lower Fe/Al molar ratio. The catalytic activity is the highest when the Fe/Al molar ratio is 1:1, reaching 74.1%. When the Fe/Al molar ratio is 1:2, the catalyst has a higher specific surface area, the maximum pore size is 8.63 nm, and the four-probe resistivity and ash content of the corresponding carbon nanotubes are the lowest. The higher the proportion of aluminum, the higher the specific surface area of the catalyst and the carbon nanotubes, and the finer the diameter of the carbon nanotubes, which gradually tends to relax. The results show that when the Fe/Al molar ratio is 1:2, although the catalytic activity of the catalyst is not the highest, the carbon nanotubes prepared have the best performance.

The present study reports the synthesis method, microstructure characterization, and thermal stability of nanostructured porous mixed oxide (MoO3-WO3) at 550 and 900 °C of annealing. The material was synthesized using a hydrothermal method. The precursor was prepared by aqueous solution using ammonium heptamolibdate and ammonium metatungstate, with an atomic ratio of Mo/W = 1. The pH was adjusted to 5, and then the solution was transferred to a teflon-lined stainless steel autoclave and heated at 200 °C for 48 h. The resultant material was washed using deionized water. The specific surface area, morphology, composition, and microstructure before and after annealing were studied by N2 physisorption, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), analytical transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-Ray diffraction (XRD). The initial synthesized materials showed low crystallinity and high specific surface area around (141 m2/g). After thermal annealing the material showed higher crystallinity and diminished its specific surface area drastically.

In this research, solution-based combustion synthesis is applied to prepare the spinel CoAl2O4 pigment from precursor solution of Al(NO3)3 .9H2O, Co(NO3)2 .6H2O and glycine. Effect of pH values (2.5, 7, 10.5), molar ratio of fuel to metal nitrates in the precursor solutions (1.5, 2) and subsequent calcination temperature (800, 1000, 1200 °C) on the powder characteristics are described. Gel formation, morphologies, specific surface area and colour of the powder are characterized using DTA/TG, XRD, TEM, BET and UV-Vis. The results indicate that the crystalline spinel CoAl2O4 is formed at all different Gl/(metal nitrates) molar ratios, pH and temperatures and higher temperature promote the increase of the crystallite size. According to TEM figures most of the particles calcined at 800 and 1000 °C has sizes less than 50 and 100 nm, respectively. Corresponding to results of BET experiment, specific surface area has its maximum values at pH 7 and decreases with increasing of temperature. Finally, colorability test indicates the complete stability of the synthesized powder in the glass matrix.

This paper deals with the synthesis of ultralow density silica aerogels using tetramethyl orthosilicate (TMOS) as the precursor via sol-gel process followed by supercritical drying using acetonitrile solvent extraction. Ultralow density silica aerogels with 6 mg/cc of density was made for the molar ratio by this method. The microstructure and morphology of the ultralow density silica aerogels was characterized by the specific surface area, SBET, SEM, and the pore size distribution techniques. The results show that the ultralow density silica aerogel has the high specific surface area of 812m2/g. Thermal conductivities at desired temperatures were analyzed by the transient plane heat source method. Thermal conductivity coefficients of silica aerogel monoliths changed from 0.024 to 0.043W/ (m K) as temperature increased to 400°C, revealed an excellent heat insulation effect during thermal process.
