Given the wide applications of photovoltaic (PV) power generation, the volatility in generation caused by solar radiation, which limits the capacity of the power grid, cannot be ignored. Therefore, much research has aimed to address this issue through the development of methods for accurately predicting inter-hour solar radiation and then estimating PV power. However, most forecasting methods focus on adjusting the model structure or model parameters to achieve prediction accuracy. There is little research discussing how different factors influence solar radiation and, thereby, the effectiveness of these data-driven methods regarding their prediction accuracy. In this work, the effects of several potential factors on solar radiation are estimated using correlation analysis and a structural equation model; an ensemble model is developed for predicting inter-hour solar radiation based on the interaction of those key factors. Several experiments are carried out based on an open database provided by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The results show that solar zenith angle, cloud cover, aerosols, and airmass have great effects on solar radiation. It is also shown that the selection of the key factor is more important than the model structure construction for predicting solar radiation precisely. The proposed ensemble model proves to outperform all sub-models and achieves about a 12% improvement over the persistent model based on the normalized root mean squared error statistic.

  Prediction markets are an innovative forecasting method that has proven high prediction accuracy in many areas. The method is, however, far from being established since many organizations are still reluctant to use the method. In particular the trust in the forecast results is a key challenge that negatively impacts the adoption of the method. To get a better understanding of what drives trust in prediction markets we analyzed the perceptions of prediction market users. We identify factors that influence the trust and quantified them in an empirical study. The study is based on user surveys in six experimental prediction markets. The influencing factors were evaluated using a structural equation model. The results demonstrate that participants who are highly engaged and perceive trading in prediction market as exciting and entertaining also put a higher trust in the market results.

The school burnout of children, defined as physical and mental exhaustion due to a lack of adjustment to the educational context, constitutes a serious problem in contemporary education. Thus, the determination of the elements that influence it and the possible strategies for avoiding it are key in the process of improving children’s well-being. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 569 children aged 8 to 13 at eight primary education schools in Granada (Spain). With the aim of examining the association between the possible exhaustion of children and planned tutoring and guidance activities, a structural equation model (SEM) as the analytical technique was used. The results show good fit indices for the model (comparative fit index (CFI) = 0.955; normalised fit index (NFI) = 0.956; incremental fit index (IFI) = 0.946; root mean squared error approximation (RMSEA) = 0.089), which reflects the need for tutoring and guidance activities that are infused throughout the entire teaching process in order to preserve children’s well-being.

Understanding causal effects of a treatment is often of interest in the social sciences. When treatments cannot be randomly assigned, researchers must ensure that treated and untreated participants are balanced on covariates before estimating treatment effects. Conventional practices are useful in matching such that treated and untreated participants have similar average values on their covariates. However, situations arise in which a researcher may instead want to match on model parameters. We propose an algorithm, Causal Mplus Trees, which uses decision trees to match on structural equation model parameters and estimates conditional average treatment effects in each node. We provide a proof of concept using two small simulation studies and demonstrate its application using COVID-19 data.

Customer loyalty is ‘suspected’not been able to optimizationrepetition of transactions, customer recommendation and durability with the establishment relationship quality of the trust, customer satisfaction and commitment. Therefore, research conducted on Bank CIMB Niaga aims to determine the extent of the trust, and commitment to customer satisfaction can increase X-tra and TabunganKU savings customer loyalty. This research is verification and the method of research is explanatory survey method, the sample is 160 customer X-tra and tabunganKU savings in the branch office Bank CIMB Niaga Bintaro. The analytical method used is structural equation model. The results showed loyalty can be achieved with relationship quality for customers through the establishment of trust, and commitment to customer satisfaction, which all three have a positive influence. Therefore, the management of Bank CIMB Niaga need to improve their ability in trust, satisfactionand commitmentwith the bank's customers to become increasingly favored customers.

E-learning adalah mediator yang menghubungkan sumber daya informasi dan layanan pengguna yang dapat diakses dari mana saja dan kapan saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh komponen Kepuasan Komputasi Pengguna Akhir (konten, akurasi, bentuk, kemudahan penggunaan, dan ketepatan waktu) terhadap kepuasan penggunaan   E-learning di Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang. Mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pengguna (siswa) dengan penerapan teknologi pendidikan, yaitu E-learning. Mengetahui faktor apa yang mempengaruhi kepuasan menggunakan E-learning. Sebagai dasar pertimbangan untuk meningkatkan atau meningkatkan kualitas layanan teknologi pendidikan, yaitu e-learning di Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah di Palembang. Populasi dan sampel penelitian diambil di Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang, yang telah menggunakan E-learning sebagai mediator informasi antara dosen dan mahasiswa. SEM (Structural Equation Model) adalah metode analisis multivariat yang dapat digunakan untuk menggambarkan hubungan simultan antara variabel linier antara indikator dan variabel yang tidak dapat diukur secara langsung (variabel laten).
