A framework for risk assessment due to inland waterway transportation of dangerous goods is designed based on all possible event types that may be caused by the inland transportation of dangerous goods. The objective of this study is to design a framework for calculating the risks associated with changes in the transportation of dangerous goods along inland waterways. The framework is based on the traditional definition of risk and is designed for sensitive riverside environmental conditions in inland waterways. From the perspective of transportation management, this paper introduced the concept of transportability of dangerous goods and constructed a transportability assessment framework, which consists of a multi-index evaluation system and a single metric model. The result of the assessment is as an auxiliary basis to determine the transportation permit and control intensity of dangerous goods in an inland waterway specific voyage. The methodology is illustrated using a case study of transporting fireworks in the Yangtze River.

Cities face unprecedented demographic, environmental, economic, social, and spatial challenges. In recent years, the implementation of nature-based solutions (NBS) is becoming more relevant in cities to improve urban resilience and to cope with climate change. NBS represent cost effective solutions that simultaneously provide environmental, social, and economic benefits and help build resilience. A comprehensive and multi-dimension Resilience Assessment Framework (RAF) to evaluate the NBS contribution to urban resilience, focused on NBS for stormwater management and control, was developed. This RAF is aligned with the RESCCUE RAF and the main assessment frameworks focused on NBS and urban resilience. This RAF for NBS is driven by the definition of resilience objectives and is able to evaluate short- and long-term changes, considering a comprehensive definition of the urban resilience and addressing the environmental, social, and economic capabilities. Regarding the initial resilience maturity and the available information in the city, three analysis degrees were proposed for the RAF application, namely, the essential, complementary, and comprehensive degrees, for which a pre-defined selection of metrics is proposed. This paper aims to present the application of the RAF essential analysis degree and its extensive validation regarding cities with different resilience maturity and available information. The application to seven cities with different resilience and NBS challenges allowed an in-depth validation of the pre-defined metrics included in the RAF essential analysis. In this sense, the analysis of the resilience maturity of the participating cities is presented, the main challenges and consolidated aspects in the cities are identified, and the cities ready to apply the complementary analysis degree are recognized. To conclude, to validate the essential analysis degree, the assessment of the main requirements of the RAF for NBS are verified, based on the RAF metrics results for the cities. In this light, the main requirements of the RAF for NBS were aggregated in three main categories, namely, NBS aspects, resilience capabilities, and the performance, risk and cost analysis.

This research proposes a sustainable development evaluation index for the Taiwan Taoyuan Aerotropolis development project in response to related development strategy, planning, and future development needs. The framework for a Taiwan Taoyuan Aerotropolis Sustainable Development Index Evaluation System includes 8 aspects, 37 evaluation indices and 104 secondary evaluation indices. In determining what to include in the evaluation index, the writers referenced national sustainable development policies and invited governmental agencies involved with the project to engage in focused interviews with experts so as to enhance the drafting of the Taiwan Taoyuan Aerotropolis Sustainable Development Index Evaluation System Framework. The results of this research work can be used as a basis for evaluating the future efficacy of the Aerotropolis development.

This study is about the project early operation content of the green road development, takes full account of the operation items of various stages of the life cycle, by the use of special case define the Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI). PDRI assessment framework, defining the need and scope of green road project development operations in the metropolitan area, and inquire set various assessment indicators of the work to complete building the overall indicator assessment system. From research in a policy aspect, as well as data collection out of instances of project case, research program obtains evaluation index operation item, and by semistructured interviews supplements insufficient evaluation index items and particularity needs. Research results will be beneficial to the application in the metropolitan regional overall development project. Building green road index evaluation system helps to avoid the environmental impact brought about by land development, reduce damage to people's life safety as a consequence from needs for road maintenance, alleviate future maintenance and management expenses, and is in line with the expected benefit of green road project sustainable development.

College badminton gymnasium is an important place where students take physical exercise. Student satisfaction index for badminton gymnasium is an important factor which influences the design of badminton gymnasium. To improve the design and construction level of college badminton gymnasium, student satisfaction index evaluation system for the design of college badminton gymnasium was constructed, and empirical study of the system was carried out. Delphi method was applied to screen evaluation indicators, and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) was used to confirm the weight of evaluation indicators. Finally, student satisfaction index evaluation system for the design of college badminton gymnasium was constructed, including 3 first-level indicators (external form design, internal layout design and application function design) and 12 second-level indicators. Hunan University of Finance and Economics was taken for example to demonstrate student satisfaction index evaluation system for the design of college badminton gymnasium. Besides, comprehensive evaluation score of the badminton gymnasium was gained. The student satisfaction index evaluation system is an effective tool to evaluate the design of college badminton gymnasium. During the design of college badminton gymnasium in China, the application function and internal layout should mainly be taken into account.

Reasonable match of the powertrain system is an optimized design process, which makes the saloons fuel economy low and power performance good. This document simulates the complete vehicle performance model of a specified manual transmission FF saloon by means of CRUISE. Establish 4 kinds of simulation task, select 3 kinds of engine whose displacement are 1.3 liters, 1.1liters and 1.0liters, 4 kinds of transmission and 4 kinds of main decelerator, calculate the power performance and fuel economy of saloon with 48 different kinds of alternative schemes on transmission system by CRUISE and analyze all the simulation results. A synthetic weighting index evaluation system of complete vehicle performance is created, which contains the design of evaluation indices and weighting indices. Analyze the weighting indices to obtain 5 design schemes which are superior to others. It offers reference data for saloon performance.

This paper presents the development of a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for calculating the sum of nail-fold (NF) and distal interphalangeal joint (DIP) ratios for all ten fingers. The sum of NF:DIP ratios for all ten fingers leads to the Digital Index (DI) that was used as the measure for identifying and determining the presence of finger clubbing symptom. This GUI system was developed to serve as a simple and user-friendly interface for clinicians to calculate DI value of patients in a busy clinic practice. It is also equipped with the capability to keep the patient’s past diagnosis medical check-up data for future monitoring purposes. The result shows that the developed system helps the clinicians to perform calculation of DI value and identify the presence of finger clubbing in a very short time. The average time taken to measure both NF and DIP circumferences using Finger Clubbing Meter, and to compute DI values using Digital Index Evaluation System (DIES) interface is 6:36 ± 1:24 minutes (Mean ± SD) .This system is expected to contribute in detecting the finger clubbing problem at early stage of so the treatment can be performed immediately.

T Developing a suitable mining safety audition index evaluation system for China that can reflect mining safety production characteristics has great significance to evaluate safety production conditions correctly. The architectural development of mining safety audition index evaluation system should follow the principles of importance, responsibilities, conciseness, relativity, dynamics and territoriality. Development of mining safety audition index evaluation system should refer to the index system positioning and evaluation weighing allocation under these principles. The indexing system should correspond to the main contents of mining safety audition.
