Tourism is one of the most dynamic sectors of the economy in Slovakia. With the orientation of localities to tourism, the landscape transformation is reflected in several positive and negative changes in the landscape. The aim of the contribution is to highlight the transformation processes leading to the creation of a tourist landscape in six selected localities in Slovakia. When selecting sites, we applied criteria such as the diversity of the original use, size or attractiveness. The environmental, socio-cultural and economic impacts of tourism on the landscape of localities were valuable in terms of sustainable development principles. From the methodological point of view, the primary methodology was the drivers–pressures–state–impact–response (DPSIR) model, used for integrated environmental assessment and the life cycle methodology of a tourism center with integrated sustainable development indicators. In the work results, based on the analysis of the historical development and the current state of localities, we evaluate their phase of the life cycle and the effects of tourism on the environment. We also present the possibilities of further development and heading direction of localities from point of view of tourism while pointing out the benefits and risks connected with the planned development.

Sustainability, as a scientific concept, is multidisciplinary and very wide topic. Sustainable development bases its strategies not simply on the concept of growth, but rather on that of optimisation, around three main principles: ecosystem integrity, economic efficiency and social equity. The purpose of this paper, after an introduction about the concept of sustainability in general and as a strategy for the enterprises, is to discuss the potential of the use of ozone in different field, as a source of sustainable development, according to two of those principles, i.e. economic and environmental. In the first part, the concept of sustainability will be investigated in deep, with a managerial point of view, while the second part of the work will briefly analyse the current state of the arts of the uses of ozone, with also some practical examples. Finally, the discussion will take care of the reasons why the use of ozone, in several fields, could be considered as a driver for sustainability.

Abstract The United Nations Convention on Sustainable Development, held in Rio de Janeiro between 20 and 22 June 2012, represented an excellent opportunity for learning the current state of the international community’s commitment to sustainable development. Undoubtedly, without sustainable seas and oceans it is impossible to talk about sustainability on our planet. Seas and oceans enjoy a privileged position within the global ecosystem as they represent 72% of the Earth’s surface area, accounting for 90% of the habitat of all life, and are a major source of economic, social and environmental resources. Hence the special interest in an effective protection of the global marine ecosystem, which is gravely threatened by a variety of factors, of which illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing is one. The present article will be divided into two parts. The first of these will study the goal of protecting the marine environment as part of the Rio+20 agenda, whilst the second will analyse illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing from a legal point of view, with particular attention being paid to the most significant challenges presented by this global scourge.

“One planet, one main goal: good life for all”: it could be a motto of sustainable world. Sustainability is global mega trend in all fields of life to promote prosperity protecting our planet. Sustainable development is a requirement and a priority for all people all over the world. It is defined as development of the current world with a view to the future generations. In 2015, the UN Member States established Agenda 2030, including seventeen “Sustainable Development Goals”, SDG, which should be realized by 2030. Objectives scope all areas of life, namely quality of human life, ecosystem, world peace or partnerships. Each goal has an environmental context. According to the “United Nations Environment Program” (UNEP), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a perfect method in the context of the environmental dimensions of the SDGs. The concept not only concerns the effects of the process/production system or the product/service but also all stages of its life (from cradle to grave), considering the carbon, environmental, consumer or biodiversity footprints. LCA is the only comprehensive eco-innovation indicator and policy implementation technique of sustainable development in companies in terms of eco-efficiency and eco-products. This mini review provides a survey of the current state of knowledge on sustainability and sustainable development as well as the relevance of new holistic methodology bridging SDGs with LCA, on the base of the newest scientific worldwide literature.

The article presents the results of expedition research in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Magadan region. The current state of the Kolyma Federal highway is analyzed both in terms of technical characteristics (type of pavement, speed of movement, level of vehicle vibrations when driving) and in terms of traffic flows (their volume and structure). It is noted that the highway plays an important role in servicing the transport needs of the population and business of these regions, which affects the state and development of settlements that gravitate to the highway. Heterogeneity in the load on the Yakut and Magadan sections of the route is indicated and the factors of its occurrence are explained. There is negative population dynamics of the main types of settlements located in the zone of influence of the route, determined the reasons of transformation of the existing system of settlement and prospects of development of the study area, identifies the reasons for the differences in transformation processes in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Magadan region. The main factors of differentiation of the Yakut and Magadan segments of the Kolyma highway are identified, among which natural, economic and socio-cultural factors are noted. Two potential scenarios for further development of these regions are considered: the transition of the existing settlement system to shift development or its preservation. The main conclusions are supported by statistical information and materials of expedition research.

The article discusses options for transforming the actions of management of enterprises in the construction industry on the example of development companies. For this purpose, the concept of "construction development" and their role in the development of the country's investment and construction complex are being clarified. To solve the problems formulated in the article, the need to create mechanisms of compensatory influence on the indicators of business activity of enterprises is scientifically substantiated in order to "secure" their functioning for the period of implementation of national restrictions related to the adaptation of the country's economic model to the main postulates of the strategic plan for sustainable development. In this regard, the organizational advantages of the developers' activities have been analyzed, and the systematization of trend innovations in management related to the country's adaptation policy aimed at introducing the principles of sustainable development in all areas of production activity has been carried out. Analyzed the current state of the domestic development services market. The main types of development and strategies that development organizations can choose to achieve their strategic goals have been determined. The main stages of development activities are outlined, broken down by tasks and business processes. An algorithm for the development and implementation of the concept and strategy of enterprise development based on the greening of production (in particular, construction) is proposed. The use of resonance management methods in managing the development of development activities is substantiated in order to achieve a synergistic effect using a minimum of investment resources. The main reasons for the low interest of investors in environmental projects at the stage of design and construction of construction projects are considered. Comparisons of the strategic goals of various types of development companies have been made and options for the implementation of eco-development have been proposed in order to modernize the Ukrainian production segment. An alternative criterion for the effectiveness of the activities of modern organizations from the point of view of adaptogenesis and ensuring the survival of organizations in the long term is proposed. A theoretical basis has been laid for the formation of an improved organizational and institutional platform for economic management of development processes with the help of resonant management mechanisms in the context of the development of the world economy on the principles of sustainable development.

The presented work, devoted to the consideration of existing concepts of logic, is aimed at analyzing the concepts of probability and logic, both separately and in the form of the corresponding integrated structures, taking into account their application in the problems of assessing the reliability and safety indicators of electric power complexes. Logic, as a scientific direction, has long gone beyond the framework of philosophical discourse and today is considered as an effective tool for practical activity in various fields of science and engineering. At the same time, both independent directions of the development of logic and structures in which this concept is integrated with other concepts or becomes the basis for the formation of new effective tools, have found their place. Obviously, logic is not an empirical science. However, the incentives of its development she derives from the practice of real thinking. Changes in the thinking of the end result in a change of logic itself. The latter can, in a sense, serve as a justification for the branching of logic to which it was subjected throughout the entire period of its existence and further development. The analysis of the content essence of the structures constructed as a result of the “fusion” of the concepts of probability and logic from the point of view of their theoretical status and practical application is carried out. The reason for the variability of interpretations of the concepts of probability and logic, their philosophical meaning, objective regularity of the interpenetration of the concept of probabilistic and logical conclusions, the formation on this basis of the theory of fuzzy sets and new engineering tools, which today are increasingly useful in the process of implementing the life cycle of structurally complex technical complexes of long use , in the study of climatic changes and the ecology of the human environment, in establishing the current state and forecasting the directions of further development of social systems and populations of wildlife, and much more.

The implementation of values of sustainable development is an important requirement to prepare future generations.Seeing these needs, it is necessary to design a micro curriculum on sustainable development values. Researchers analyzed the perceptions of 241 science teachers in West Java about the urgency of SD (Sustainable Development) indicators into content that students must learn. The topic of waste pollution and renewable energy are the chosen materials to be studied. Teacher's perception of the urgency of the material indicators can be said to be homogeneous. After that, the researcher made a content design for implementing this curriculum. Three validators who are experienced science teachers provide a constructive evaluation of the content and learning evaluation components.Learning evaluation is expected to be varied by including non-test components to achieve SD competence which emphasizes psychomotor and affective aspects. This curriculum content design already has goals that are in accordance with the expected sustainable development competencies, but the material content and evaluation components need further development.

AbstractThe theory of sustainable development shows an international dynamic evolution and more and more countries develop socio-economic development methods and techniques, whose main objective is to ensure a balance between economic, social and environmental aspects. Romania is working to ensure a sustainable future, implementing various strategies that aim to transform our society into a truly sustainable and modern one. The analysis of sustainable development indicators can be a solid basis for periodic monitoring progress in achieving the strategic sustainable development goals. The present paper aims to analyze the steps that Romania takes in this process of transforming the economy into a sustainable one and its challenges according to the trends of sustainable development indicators. From the economic point of view, for Romania the economic growth does not have to be a purpose itself, because the economy must work for people and the planet. Therefore, sustainable development and the well-being of citizens must be at the center of the actions, and to achieve these goals the great challenge of our country is the combination of dimensions such as environmental sustainability, increased productivity, equity and macroeconomic stability. The long-term economic challenges related to climate change, digitization and demographic developments must be addressed through a growth model, which will allow to maintain economic competitiveness and achieve the goal of climate neutrality.
