The article discusses options for transforming the actions of management of enterprises in the construction industry on the example of development companies. For this purpose, the concept of "construction development" and their role in the development of the country's investment and construction complex are being clarified. To solve the problems formulated in the article, the need to create mechanisms of compensatory influence on the indicators of business activity of enterprises is scientifically substantiated in order to "secure" their functioning for the period of implementation of national restrictions related to the adaptation of the country's economic model to the main postulates of the strategic plan for sustainable development. In this regard, the organizational advantages of the developers' activities have been analyzed, and the systematization of trend innovations in management related to the country's adaptation policy aimed at introducing the principles of sustainable development in all areas of production activity has been carried out. Analyzed the current state of the domestic development services market. The main types of development and strategies that development organizations can choose to achieve their strategic goals have been determined. The main stages of development activities are outlined, broken down by tasks and business processes. An algorithm for the development and implementation of the concept and strategy of enterprise development based on the greening of production (in particular, construction) is proposed. The use of resonance management methods in managing the development of development activities is substantiated in order to achieve a synergistic effect using a minimum of investment resources. The main reasons for the low interest of investors in environmental projects at the stage of design and construction of construction projects are considered. Comparisons of the strategic goals of various types of development companies have been made and options for the implementation of eco-development have been proposed in order to modernize the Ukrainian production segment. An alternative criterion for the effectiveness of the activities of modern organizations from the point of view of adaptogenesis and ensuring the survival of organizations in the long term is proposed. A theoretical basis has been laid for the formation of an improved organizational and institutional platform for economic management of development processes with the help of resonant management mechanisms in the context of the development of the world economy on the principles of sustainable development.

Abstract The United Nations Convention on Sustainable Development, held in Rio de Janeiro between 20 and 22 June 2012, represented an excellent opportunity for learning the current state of the international community’s commitment to sustainable development. Undoubtedly, without sustainable seas and oceans it is impossible to talk about sustainability on our planet. Seas and oceans enjoy a privileged position within the global ecosystem as they represent 72% of the Earth’s surface area, accounting for 90% of the habitat of all life, and are a major source of economic, social and environmental resources. Hence the special interest in an effective protection of the global marine ecosystem, which is gravely threatened by a variety of factors, of which illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing is one. The present article will be divided into two parts. The first of these will study the goal of protecting the marine environment as part of the Rio+20 agenda, whilst the second will analyse illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing from a legal point of view, with particular attention being paid to the most significant challenges presented by this global scourge.

Modern market requirements for transportation of cargo flows according to the «quality, speed, and cost» criteria were studied. It was found that multimodal routes have the lowest delivery time, high reliability, and minimum transit time, which provides a more accurate level of control of costs, traffic schedules, and transport safety. It was determined that the effectiveness of multimodal transportation schemes depends on a degree of realization of resource capabilities and management technologies of a multimodal transport operator (MTO). The functional features and the MTO classification were generalized, which makes it possible to generate the MTO business model as a responsible integrator of transport and logistic processes, rather than consider it only from the point of view of the organizer of mixed transportation schemes. The technology of the organizational transportation process was systematized, based on which a system of strategic goals and key performance indicators (KPI) was developed, which makes it possible to determine the «bottlenecks» according to the main business processes of a multimodal transportation operator. The modified multifactor DuPont model was proposed, which makes it possible to establish the priority of factor evaluation of more time-stable indicators based on determining the levers of the MTO resource efficiency with greater coverage of factors. The performed research can become the basis for further development of the multimodal cargo transportation system based on the development of the model for optimal management of the MTO business processes.

Security awareness has spread inside many organizations leading them to tackle information security not just as a technical matter, but from a corporate point of view. Information Security Governance (ISG) provides enterprises with means of dealing with the security of their information assets in a comprehensive manner, involving every stakeholder through the whole governance and management processes. Boards of Public and Private Entities cannot remain unaware of this development and should make efforts to include ISG into their business processes. Realizing of this relevant role, scientific literature contains a variety of proposals which define different frameworks to foster ISG inside any corporation. In order to facilitate the adoption of any of them by the public sector, this chapter compiles existing approaches, highlighting the main contributions and characteristics of each one. Senior executives and security managers may need support on their decisions about adopting one of these frameworks, so a comparative analysis is performed. This chapter tries to provide an overview of state of the art of the most current relevant security governance frameworks by means of a comparison through a set of comparative criteria that have been defined and applied to every proposal, so that strengths and weaknesses of each one can be pointed out. These criteria have been selected from a deep analysis of existing ISG papers, including both governance and management aspects.

Tourism is one of the most dynamic sectors of the economy in Slovakia. With the orientation of localities to tourism, the landscape transformation is reflected in several positive and negative changes in the landscape. The aim of the contribution is to highlight the transformation processes leading to the creation of a tourist landscape in six selected localities in Slovakia. When selecting sites, we applied criteria such as the diversity of the original use, size or attractiveness. The environmental, socio-cultural and economic impacts of tourism on the landscape of localities were valuable in terms of sustainable development principles. From the methodological point of view, the primary methodology was the drivers–pressures–state–impact–response (DPSIR) model, used for integrated environmental assessment and the life cycle methodology of a tourism center with integrated sustainable development indicators. In the work results, based on the analysis of the historical development and the current state of localities, we evaluate their phase of the life cycle and the effects of tourism on the environment. We also present the possibilities of further development and heading direction of localities from point of view of tourism while pointing out the benefits and risks connected with the planned development.

The article considers the theoretical essence of the lean production concept. It has been proved that its essence lies in identifying and reducing costs of processes, and sometimes eliminating business processes that do not create added value but consume large amount of resources. The main constituent elements, tools and principles of lean concept implementation have been outlined. The possibility of implementation of lean logistics in the activity of agricultural enterprises has been considered. It has been defined that combination of lean logistics and “green logistics” is a rational way to increase both economic and ecological efficiency. The VSM tool have been offered for implementation of the lean concept. VSM maps provide a visual representation of step-by-step scenario to achieve the strategic goals of the company, representing material and information flows required to deliver a product to the final consumer. It has been confirmed that the implementation of the lean concept at agricultural enterprises is an element of ensuring their functioning on the basis of sustainable development, a means of increasing environmental and economic efficiency.

In Lithuania, like in other post communistic countries, the principles of sustainable development were used only few years ago, basically only in case, that it was “in vogue” in the whole world. Strategic plans were created usually in such a way that everyone understood, not paying attention to quality and real destination. Most of investors choosing places for their investments usually analyse strategic plans and this is one of the critical factors for choosing the place for investments or at least choosing possible variants. At present Lithuanians are starting to understand the importance of sustainable development and the principles of sustainability are being implemented realistically. During this process a lot of obscurities were observed which have conditioned the problematic of the article: misunderstandings of cities’ sustainable development strategic planning principles, in the appreciation of community's involvement importance into strategic management processes, the absence of the united methodology for sustainable development strategic planning processes. Therefore the principles of sustainable development and possibilities for their use in the development processes of cities’ communities are analyzed in this article. Summarizing the principles of sustainable development of cities it is possible to separate three basic stages of strategic planning, which are (1) creation of vision, (2) strategic planning, and (3) implementation of the plan. In every stage there is a management process which is adjusted to new conditions, changed tactics, but doesn't go far from the vision which was formulated by authorities and inhabitants.
