As critical nodes for global commodity flows, warehouses are an important example of segmented labour regimes which partition workers into groups with different conditions of security or its opposite, precarity. An emerging literature on warehouse work has tended to place segmentation in the context of managerial despotism based upon low wages, high labour turnover and job insecurity. However, the literature has, thus far, tended to pay comparatively less attention to workers’ collective resistance and its relationship to intra-labour divisions reproduced through segmentation. In refocusing attention to this problem, this article addresses the theoretical status of intra-labour groups, the nature of horizontal worker-to-worker relations, and their interaction with workers’ social identities and vertical capital–labour relations. It argues that the Gramscian concept of articulation provides the most promising frame for understanding these networked relations and for addressing how the politics of segmentation can be challenged by building common cause among divided workers.

This article intends to contribute to the theoretical status questionis concerning social interpreting. Starting point is the very name of the discipline, which refers to sociology as well to communication and linguistics. The purpose is to examine how each of these research areas offers a number of concepts relevant to social interpreting, in particular those concepts referring to the category “subject”. The path that we have chosen is twofold. First we explore the development of each of these disciplines and the ensuing creation of relevant concepts for our topic of investigation. Next, we analyse how these three sciences have learned and borrowed from each other and what the relevance of this can be for research into social interpreting. We conclude the article with a schematic overview showing the corresponding relevant concepts placed next to each other.

The article traces the evolution of the Eurasian idea, starting from the initial stage of its formation, in the context of comparing it with the implementation of the Soviet project in the pre-war years on the basis of the first three five-year plans for socialist construction. Attempts to formalize the theoretical status of the Eurasian civilization were formed on the basis of ideas about “Russia–Eurasia” as a cultural personality, about the Eurasian state, often comparing these constructions with the real achievements of socialist construction and confidently declaring the Eurasian world order within Russia–Eurasia in the future.

Vaishnavism is a major section of bhakti literature. The Vedic texts, upanishads and agamas describe the theoretical position of the Vaishnava god Thirumal. In the Four Vedas, the oldest of the vedas, The Vaishnavakadava, Thirumal, appears as the main god. The Upanishads, which guide the ethics of life, have highlighted the position of Vishnu. In addition, this article is entitled Vaishnavism in a theoretical position to explore how to worship God through Vaishnavism.

During the past years, a large number of analyses has been done on what is called discourse markers , which are considered a class of linguistic expressions. Notably, various approaches have been taken, and unsurprisingly various results have been produced as to the theoretical status of discourse markers such as Potts, 2005 or even  Blakemore, 2002.     In spite of the fact that discourse markers are typically considered as one of the basic characteristics of oral discourse, nowadays it has been also found in written texts. Therefore, the current study introduces a kind of investigation to discourse markers in written language of Iraqi participants in English Language Proficiency Test , henceforth referred to as ELPT . Throughout this study , we ll see how discourse markers have the ability in improving the quality of writing in addition to increasing the conception of text. In current research , there is an attempt to measure the participants' knowledge about Discourse Markers. The aim of this study is to find out whether Iraqi ELPT participants use discourse markers in their writing and how they use them. To justify this aim, an analysis of essays written by ELPT participants was done .

Kant’s position on the problem of God is radicalized under the influence of transcendental philosophy’s evolving project. The weakening position of physico-theology and the growing importance of moral theology are possible ways of describing the shift in perspective between the pre-critical period writings and the critical period writings. The separation of the area of cognition and action excludes the possibility of formulating theodicy in a classical form. God, as only a conceived idea, and its meaning is firmly grounded in practical philosophy, in which the presentation of the law is a sufficient condition for moral behaviour. In such a model, God is only an idea, but a fully functional one. This could be noticed mostly in the Opus postumum, where in analogy to God’s practical idea, Kant deduces the transcendental ether’s existence. Ether is not just a hypothesis for Kant; it is not just a ‘temporary’ or ‘contingent’ assumption made ad hoc to explain a particular experience. Still, it is a fundamental and indelible condition, a conditio sine qua non of experience in general. The non-hypothetical matter of heat (ether) is the transcendental condition of all experience, though it does not cease to be an ‘intelligible thing’, an ‘idea’. The status of this idea is entirely ‘non-theoretical’. Kant writes about the ether similarly as he writes about the idea of God, which is only conceivable but at the same time it maintains a strong ‘non-theoretical’ status. The Kantian idea of God is strongly objectified. It is not a ‘product’ of reason, but rather something ‘perceived’ by reason, a strictly theistic idea (as Erich Adickes claims). Kant’s statements, characteristic for the Opus postumum, in which God is identified with moral law, of course give grounds to suppose that the deification of practical reason can be understood as a final stage in the long process of anthropologizing God. However, these statements also allow us to consider practical reason as a new source of what is given.

In this paper I reflect on whether ethnonyms and demonyms can appropriately be considered proper names at all from the semantic perspective, and if so, on what basis. I believe the answer is yes, perhaps unsurprisingly, but there are troublesome conceptual tensions to overcome in the relation between logic and linguistics. Nevertheless an understanding of the difficulties can be constructive, and in this case it lead to a proposal for a terminological innovation that has useful consequences.

The Theoretical Status of the Emblem in Polish Decorative Art This paper argues that the theoretical status of the emblem in decorative art has methodological significance in emblem studies and art history, comparable to its status in the so-called book’s editorial frame. This claim is justified in the historical and theoretical tradition of defining emblems in the sources. The departure point for the author’s considerations comes from the findings of applied emblematics, and its foundation is provided by the theoretical sources describing symbolic genres (scil. emblema, symbolum, hierogliphicum) published in Poland from the 16th to the 18th century, including books of poetics, rhetoric, dictionaries and compendia. The first part of the article presents an overview of research on decorative emblems in Poland, together with factors responsible for the scarcity of such studies, including the lack of symbolic typology of the decorations, and the division into literary and non-literary studies, motivated by the philological roots of emblem studies. It is noted that the emblemata in the so-called book’s editorial frame and those in decorations should be studied separately, as the latter are of ornamental nature, and require a distinct order of perception, explication, and the recipient’s role. Besides, it is pointed out that the anachronism of the 16th-century formulae of emblema raises problems for the genological classification of Polish decorations, and so does the inter-genre, compendiumtype pattern of symbolism dominant in the 18th century. The second part of the article discusses the definition of the emblema, focusing on its details relevant for the artistic practice and present-day genre classification, such as technique, composition, the content of the image, which is confronted with Polish historical materials. The analysis carried out in the paper supports the claim that providing a genelogical definition of a work of art sheds light on its artistic rendition and aesthetic value. It also enhances the perspective on emblem studies, the workshop of an emblem artist and the reception of the emblem. Additionally, it enables the verification of synthetic accounts and research practice, offering a profound reflection on the chronology and previous conceptions of the emblem. Finally, it helps to formulate postulates, which can be useful for the met

The presented work, devoted to the consideration of existing concepts of logic, is aimed at analyzing the concepts of probability and logic, both separately and in the form of the corresponding integrated structures, taking into account their application in the problems of assessing the reliability and safety indicators of electric power complexes. Logic, as a scientific direction, has long gone beyond the framework of philosophical discourse and today is considered as an effective tool for practical activity in various fields of science and engineering. At the same time, both independent directions of the development of logic and structures in which this concept is integrated with other concepts or becomes the basis for the formation of new effective tools, have found their place. Obviously, logic is not an empirical science. However, the incentives of its development she derives from the practice of real thinking. Changes in the thinking of the end result in a change of logic itself. The latter can, in a sense, serve as a justification for the branching of logic to which it was subjected throughout the entire period of its existence and further development. The analysis of the content essence of the structures constructed as a result of the “fusion” of the concepts of probability and logic from the point of view of their theoretical status and practical application is carried out. The reason for the variability of interpretations of the concepts of probability and logic, their philosophical meaning, objective regularity of the interpenetration of the concept of probabilistic and logical conclusions, the formation on this basis of the theory of fuzzy sets and new engineering tools, which today are increasingly useful in the process of implementing the life cycle of structurally complex technical complexes of long use , in the study of climatic changes and the ecology of the human environment, in establishing the current state and forecasting the directions of further development of social systems and populations of wildlife, and much more.
