To determine the ability of different punch trackers (PT) (Corner (CPT), Everlast (EPT), and Hykso (HPT)) to recognize specific punch types (lead and rear straight punches, lead and rear hooks, and lead and rear uppercuts) thrown by trained (TR, n = 10) and untrained punchers (UNTR, n = 11), subjects performed different punch combinations, and PT data were compared to data from video recordings to determine how well each PT recognized the punches that were actually thrown. Descriptive statistics and multilevel modelling were used to analyze the data. The CPT, EPT and HPT detected punches more accurately in TR than UNTR, evidenced by a lower percentage error in TR (p = 0.007). The CPT, EPT, and HPT detected straight punches better than uppercuts and hooks, with a lower percentage error for straight punches (p < 0.001). The recognition of punches with CPT and HPT depended on punch order, with earlier punches in a sequence recognized better. The same may or may not have occurred with EPT, but EPT does not allow for data to be exported, meaning the order of individual punches could not be analyzed. The CPT and HPT both seem to be viable options for tracking punch count and punch type in TR and UNTR.

The main aim of this study was to evaluate the validity and the reliability of a swimming sensor to assess swimming performance and spatial-temporal variables. Six international male open-water swimmers completed a protocol which consisted of two training sets: a 6×100m individual medley and a continuous 800 m set in freestyle. Swimmers were equipped with a wearable sensor, the TritonWear to collect automatically spatial-temporal variables: speed, lap time, stroke count (SC), stroke length (SL), stroke rate (SR), and stroke index (SI). Video recordings were added as a “gold-standard” and used to assess the validity and the reliability of the TritonWear sensor. The results show that the sensor provides accurate results in comparison with video recording measurements. A very high accuracy was observed for lap time with a mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) under 5% for each stroke (2.2, 3.2, 3.4, 4.1% for butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle respectively) but high error ranges indicate a dependence on swimming technique. Stroke count accuracy was higher for symmetric strokes than for alternate strokes (MAPE: 0, 2.4, 7.1 & 4.9% for butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke & freestyle respectively). The other variables (SL, SR & SI) derived from the SC and the lap time also show good accuracy in all strokes. The wearable sensor provides an accurate real time feedback of spatial-temporal variables in six international open-water swimmers during classical training sets (at low to moderate intensities), which could be a useful tool for coaches, allowing them to monitor training load with no effort.

The value judgments about medicine are contributed to by the public image. Formerly this has been one of a devoted, caring, self-sacrificing, somewhat unworldly group of people, dedicated to their work for the suffering and diseased. But the doctors are not separate from society and they are affected by its values. These have been adopted by the profession so that it is coming to be seen as no worse and no better than any other group of comparable education and training. Its status has diminished and this has called into question its compensation at a high level. Status cannot be maintained when its base has been eroded.

Background: Research using video recordings can advance understanding of healthcare communication and improve care, but making and using video recordings carries risks. Aim: To explore views of hospice patients, carers and clinical staff about whether videoing patient–doctor consultations is acceptable for research and training purposes. Design: We used semi-structured group and individual interviews to gather hospice patients, carers and clinical staff views. We used Braun and Clark’s thematic analysis. Setting/participants: Interviews were conducted at one English hospice to inform the development of a larger video-based study. We invited patients with capacity to consent and whom the care team judged were neither acutely unwell nor severely distressed (11), carers of current or past patients (5), palliative medicine doctors (7), senior nurses (4) and communication skills educators (5). Results: Participants viewed video-based research on communication as valuable because of its potential to improve communication, care and staff training. Video-based research raised concerns including its potential to affect the nature and content of the consultation and threats to confidentiality; however, these were not seen as sufficient grounds for rejecting video-based research. Video-based research was seen as acceptable and useful providing that measures are taken to reduce possible risks across the recruitment, recording and dissemination phases of the research process. Conclusion: Video-based research is an acceptable and worthwhile way of investigating communication in palliative medicine. Situated judgements should be made about when it is appropriate to involve individual patients and carers in video-based research on the basis of their level of vulnerability and ability to freely consent.

Research carried out in 2016 by the authors investigated the challenges that doctors in training experience around leadership and followership in the NHS. The study explored contemporary healthcare leadership culture and the role of followership from the perspective of early career doctors. It found that the leadership and followership challenges for these doctors in training were associated with issues of social and professional identity, communication, the medical hierarchy, and relationships with senior colleagues (support and trust). These challenges were exacerbated by the busy and turbulent clinical environment in which they worked. To cope with various clinical situations and forms of leadership, doctors in training engage in a range of different followership behaviours and strategies. The study raised implications for medical education and training and suggested that followership should be included as part of formal training in communication and team working skills. The importance of both leadership and followership in the delivery of safe and effective patient care has been brought sharply into focus by the COVID-19 pandemic. This article revisits these challenges in light of the pandemic and its impact on the experiences of doctors in training.

FIFA 15 and Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 15 are soccer games that are popular in Indonesia. Usability testing needs to be done to assess user interest and satisfaction with both and provide an overview of the comparison of them. The framework used for testing is McCall’S. The test combines operability matrix and training matrix to determine software quality. McCall’S was chosen because it has a reliable and comprehensive quality factor indicators. The results of the tests carried out were data on the operability level of PES15 games of 76.81% ± 15.76% and FIFA15 games of 70.65% ± 20.73%. Testing of training matrices produced 15.96 ± 21.74 seconds for PES15 and 78.29 ± 25.73 seconds for FIFA15 game training matrix. The data shows that reusability of PES15 is better than FIFA15.

Background: WHO Guidelines recommends ‘‘My five moments for hand hygiene” for prevention of HCAI. Objective: Toassess the knowledge and practices of medical students about HCAI and hand hygiene. Setting: Lahore Medical & Dental College(LMDC), Lahore. Period: Four weeks, in January and February, 2012. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted usingWHO’s “Hand Hygiene Knowledge Questionnaire”, among MBBS students from 3rd to final years, 2012. Data was entered and cleaned inSPSS 19 and presented in tables and graphs. Descriptive statistics was used in the forms of numbers and percentages. Results: Among227 respondents, 63% were female, 67% were 20 to 22 years old, 38% were from 3rd year, 40% from 4th year and 22% from final year,61% never received hand hygiene training and 67% never used hand rubs. Few students named unclean hands as main route (42%) andsource of HCAI (21%). Hand hygiene was preferred before touching patients (76%) and after body fluid exposure (70%). It was perceivedto be rapid (63%), effective (66%), cause of skin dryness (57%) and it was supposed to be used concomitantly with hand washing (74%),before abdomen palpation (48%), giving injection (31%), after removing gloves (22%) and making patient’s bed (31%). Damaged skin(92%), artificial fingernails (78%) and jewelry (53%) were perceived to increase hand contamination. Conclusions: There were seriousgaps in knowledge of proper hand cleaning techniques and their importance in prevention of health HCAI. Hand hygiene, must be part ofcurriculum and training of all health care providers.

A leader must have a good competence to successfully bring the organization for its intended purpose. If a led organization is engaged in education field, of course a leader must also have a competence that qualified both skill, science, and experience in the field of education. However, related to that, it also found some problems about leadership, namely the leader is less exemplary discipline, less competent in the field, less provide guidance, less coordination and unable to make their own decisions. Based on the above things, this study aims to find out how the leadership in the field of basic education (DIKDAS) is, what factors affect the leadership in the field of basic education (DIKDAS), and what effort are being made to improve the leadership in the field of basic education (DIKDAS) at Dinas Pendidikan Balangan district. The location of research is at the office of Dinas Pendidikan Balangan district. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a qualitative description type. Data collection technique used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The source of data is amounted to 14 people. After the data collected, then analyzed through 3 stages, namely data editing, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusion. The result of the research indicate that the leadership in the field of basic education (DIKDAS) has not been entirely good. This can be seen from the side of responsibility that is less independent as a leader and does not have the desire to excel. On the other hand, the leader in the field of basic education (DIKDAS) is considered to have capacity in the from of intelligence, speech and judgment ability. From the aspect of achievement is an appropriate bachelor degree and a quite estensive knowledge. From the aspect of responsibility is a quite good initiative, diligent, tenacious, and confident. From the aspect of participation, that is active, have high sociability, cooperative, and able to adjust. The factors that influence leadership are the expertise and employee loyalty to leader, education and training experience, and the leader’s intelligence. Then, the effort to improve the leadership is delegation of tasks to subordinates, the approach by the leadership to subordinates and training as well as discussion. The suggestions to improve the leadership in the field of basic education (DIKDAS) are the leaders need to be a motivator for subordinates, have the attitude of independence, one of them is able to make their own decisions that precarious, and have the desire to excel in order to spur achievement. This paper presents development of a prototype sensorless dual axis solar tracker for maximum extraction of solar energy. To prove the concept and evaluate the proposed algorithm, a low cost widely availabe materials were used which was programmed based on Arduino microcontroller. The porposed algorithm works based on two search methods namely the global search that approximates the best point location in a region, and local search that further determines the actual sun’s position. Experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm gives better performance compared to the existing sun position algorithm (SPA) - based method as well as the fixed panel system. In terms of total output power, the proposed algorithm gives 17.96% more efficient than the fixed system and 6.38% better than the SPA-based system. Furthermore, the percentage error of the experimental measured angle to the actual sun azimuth angle was relatively minimal (less than 3%) during clear day operation. The system was proven to be effective in tracking the sun for improved energy production of solar PV panels and the proposed algorithm also can be used for designing the tracker with larger size of solar PV systems.
