The prime objective of the current study is to examine the impact of knowledge sharing and employee ambidexterity on the sustainable performance of manufacturing firms operating in the KPK province of Pakistan. In addition to this, the study has examined the mediating role of employees’ ambidexterity in the relationship between knowledge sharing and sustainable performance. The final sample included 240 respondents, which represented a response rate of 68%. The study employed SEM-PLS for data analysis. The results indicate that the employee’s ambidexterity fully mediates between knowledge sharing and sustainable performance. Knowledge sharing appears as a significant determinant of employees’ ambidexterity and sustainable performance. Meanwhile, the employee’s ambidexterity also has a positive and significant relationship with sustainable performance. In the field of Management Sciences and other disciplines, knowledge sharing is considered a significant field of study. Globally, very little research has targeted these variables. This research offers conceptual highlights for developing the influence of knowledge sharing on the sustainable performance of employees particularly in the manufacturing sector.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the mediating roles of knowledge sharing behaviors (knowledge collecting and donating) in linking the relationship between high-commitment human resource management (HRM)practices and specific aspects of innovation capability, namely, exploitative and exploratory innovation. Design/methodology/approach The paper is based on quantitative approach and structural equation modeling to examine the correlation among the latent constructs based on the survey data collected from 281 participants in 95 Chinese firms. Findings The findings of this study support the mediating role of knowledge sharing (KS) behaviors in the relationship between HRM practices and aspects of innovation capability. It highlights the important role of knowledge donating and indicates that the effect of knowledge donating is more significant than that of knowledge collecting on exploitative and exploratory innovation. Research limitations/implications Future research should investigate the impact of high-commitment HRM practices on innovation capability under the moderating effects of organizational variables to bring better understanding on the relationship among them. Originality/value The paper significantly contributes to increasing knowledge and insights on the correlation between high-commitment HRM practices and specific forms of innovation. The understanding on mediating role of KS contribute to advancing the body of knowledge of HRM and innovation theory.

The objective of the present study is to investigate the impact of inclusive leadership on project success with the mediating role of innovative work behavior and moderating role of knowledge sharing. Data were collected from information technology projects in Pakistan. After validating the proposed model, path analysis was conducted. The findings revealed that inclusive leadership is significantly related with innovative work behavior and project success. Further, the findings showed that innovative work mediates the relationship between inclusive leadership and project success. Moreover, knowledge sharing doesn't moderate the relationship between inclusive leadership and innovative work behavior. The theoretical and practical implications and limitations of the study are discussed in detail.

This article aims to determine and analyze the impact of E-IMC on improving the positioning towards commercial banks in Egypt, and loyalty as well. To accomplish these objectives, a descrptive method is used. 360 customers of commercial banks in Egypt are randomly selected, which were selected for having used the internet service of these banks. The total response rate was 86.4%. The results showed that this a statistically significant relationship between E-IMC and the mental image of the customers towards the organizations to improve their image and increase the achievement of loyalty to the brand in the commercial banks. Examining the results, a reliable model has been found in managing the mental image of the organizations with their customers.

Purpose – This paper holds the purpose to investigate the impact of ethical leadership and civility on organizational commitment and also to explore mediating role of work engagement in the relationship. Design/methodology/approach – With questionnaire survey, the current paper uses a sample of 340 employees from manufacturing sector of Lahore Pakistan. To test the hypotheses, analysis was accomplished by using Statistical Package for Social Science Software, through confirmatory factor and regression analysis. Findings – The results revealed that ethical leadership and civility have positive impact on organizational commitment. Strong empirical support also proved that work engagement mediates the relationship between ethical leadership, civility and organizational commitment. Research limitations/implications – This study design is cross-sectional, consequently accuracy of assumption concerning causality is restrictive. Practical implications – Results of this study discovered the importance of ethical leadership behaviors which play noteworthy role in developing employees and ethical organizational culture & support to ascertain an organizational ethical environment that leads to maximize work engagement and organizational commitment. Thus, ethical leadership behaviors & civility might be the key and most suitable practices to be implemented in manufacturing sector of Pakistan. Originality/value – This paper adds to the existing ethical leadership and civility literature by identifying work engagement as an additional mediator in the relationship between ethical leadership, civility and organizational commitment

The prime objective of the current study is to investigate the impact of the atmospheric stimuli on revisit intention. In addition to that, the study has examined the mediating role of perceived image in the relationship between atmospheric stimuli and revisit intention. Finally, the moderating role word of mouth in the relationship between perceived image and revisit intention has been examined. The study has broached the issues related to sensory marketing. Sensory marketing is a new concept which is evolved more in the last two decades. It is part of experientialmarketing. Sensory marketing is considered as revolutionary area in the field of marketing in which emotions and perceptions are evoked by the marketers by targeting five senses of human. The expectations can be exceeded by the organization for the customers by targeting more than one sense. When external factors are used to stimulate the human senses, a memorable experience is created, which help in building a positive image in the mind of customers, which later on has an impact on the retention of customers as well. However, the current study has filled this gap. However, this study is among the pioneering studies on this issue Employing the survey-based methodology; the SEM-PLS technique is used to test the hypothesized relationships. So,the current study has used SEM-PLS as a statistical tool to answer the research questions raised in this study and research objectives envisaged in the current stud, and the data is collected from the tourist in Indonesia. The findings of the study have provided support to the theoretical foundation and proposed hypothesis of the current study. The current study will be helpful for policymakers and practitioners in understanding the issues atmospheric stimuli on revisit intention. In author knowledge, this is among very few pioneering studies on this issue.

Drawing on Social Exchange Theory and Self-Determination Theory, this study examines the impact of three leadership styles (ethical, transformational, and passive avoidant) on employee knowledge sharing. Further, this study explores the mediating effect of introjected motivation in the relationship between three leadership styles and employee knowledge sharing. Using time lag data this study employed a sample of 254 faculty members of public sector universities in Pakistan. Results supported the positive relationship between three styles of leadership and employee knowledge sharing. Moreover, our findings confirmed the mediating role of introjected motivation in the relationship between three leadership styles and employee knowledge sharing. Our study is unique, as it simultaneously examines how various styles of leadership predict introjected motivation and employee knowledge sharing. Implications along with limitations and future research directions are discussed.

Innovation performance is the fundamental factor for firms to survive and achieve competitive advantage in the context of increasing competitive pressure. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impacts of two key components of transformational leadership (TL) namely idealized influence and individualized consideration on knowledge sharing (KS), as well as their influences on firm’s innovation performance. The paper used Structural Equations Modeling (SEM) to elaborate the relationship among these latent factors through using survey data gathered from 235 participants of 60 medium and small-sized firms in Vietnam. The findings reveal that KS activities of employees play a crucial role in improving firm’s innovation performance, and serve as a mediating role in the effects of TL on innovation performance. Moreover, the findings highlight the impact of individualized consideration on innovation performance in comparison with the impact of idealized influence on innovation performance. In general, the findings of this study have advanced the understanding and brought new initiatives for Vietnamese firms to follow and improve its innovation performance.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the mediating role of burnout (i.e. exhaustion, cynicism, professional inefficacy) in the relationship between job level and job satisfaction as well as between job level and task performance. Design/methodology/approach The final sample included 342 Korean workers from selected companies. The authors employed the Hayes (2013) PROCESS tool for analyzing the data. Findings The results showed that all three subscales of burnout (i.e. exhaustion, cynicism, professional inefficacy) mediate the relationship between job level and job satisfaction. However, only two mediators (i.e. cynicism, professional inefficacy) indicated the mediating effects on the association between job level and task performance. Originality/value This research presented the role of burnout on the relationships between job level, job satisfaction, and task performance especially in South Korean organizational context. In addition to role of burnout, findings should prove helpful in improving job satisfaction and task performance. The authors provide implications and limitations of the findings.

AbstractIndividuals experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage in childhood have a higher rate of inflammation-related diseases decades later. Little is known about the mechanisms linking early life experiences to the functioning of the immune system in adulthood. To address this, we explore the relationship across social-to-biological layers of early life social exposures on levels of adulthood inflammation and the mediating role of gene regulatory mechanisms, epigenetic and transcriptomic profiling from blood, in 2,329 individuals from two European cohort studies. Consistently across both studies, we find transcriptional activity explains a substantive proportion (78% and 26%) of the estimated effect of early life disadvantaged social exposures on levels of adulthood inflammation. Furthermore, we show that mechanisms other than cis DNA methylation may regulate those transcriptional fingerprints. These results further our understanding of social-to-biological transitions by pinpointing the role of gene regulation that cannot fully be explained by differential cis DNA methylation.
