ABSTRACTRaw material requirements planning is one way to increase cost efficiency. The purpose of this study wasto determine the proper technique for cost efficiency. The Research in Bogor Mitradaya PT Mandirifacing problems of shortage or excess raw materials in the warehouse or stock outs so disrupt the smoothproduction process. Comparative descriptive research with case study method. The analysis wasconducted using MRP (Material Requirement Planning). The Results showed that raw materialrequirements planning at PT Mandiri Bogor Mitradaya pretty good. But in its activities, sometimescompanies have excess or shortage of raw materials warehouse, causing inefficient costs on 17th feb-23feb 2015. The calculation methods Lot For Lot MRP techniques proven to increase cost efficiency. Thus,the authors recommend techniques Lot For Lot to be considered, especially in decision making.Keywords: Raw Material Planning, Cost Efficiency, Total Inventories, Number Booking

This study discusses the application of the material requirements planning (MRP) method in the planning of raw materials in a furniture company. The purpose of this research is to know the planning of raw materials for furniture products in UD. AA, determine the most suitable inventory model to be applied to material inventory planning and analyze the role of the MRP system in raw material procurement planning. The forecasting method used is the quantitative method of time series analysis, determining the master production schedule, calculating lot sizing (LFL, EOQ, POQ methods). From determining the Master Production Schedule, it is found that the cabinet production plan for the next three months is 4 units per period or week, and based on the calculation of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) it can be seen what components are needed for the manufacture of cabinets, how many and when each component is required. Therefore it is obtained that the total raw material requirement for wood for the next three months is 11.34 m³.

   One strategy is to increase productivity by enhancing the company's inventory management system to support the smooth day-to-day operations, the company hopes to establish the amount of raw material inventories efficiently, besides it can reduce the undesirable things, such as: Stock material less raw, raw material stock of redundant, inefficient, disorganized inventory layout, handling errors resulting in damage to the raw materials and others. Models control conducted by PT. Cahaya Buana Intitama is currently using two techniques, namely the calculation of average calculation and the calculation of the last three months the average per period (total months of the current year) to obtain the "Purchase Plan".Keywords: productivity, raw materials, control, material requirements planning.

Kegiatan produksi yang dilakukan oleh beberapa perusahaan masih menggunakan persediaan material yang banyak agar kegiatan produksi dapat berjalan lancar, akan tetapi kondisi ini dianggap tidak optimal karena banyak sumber daya yang ditanam, sehingga investasi hanya digunakan untuk keperluan kebutuhan material. Pemesanan material yang tidak didukung dengan data-data permintaan produk secara tepat, akan membuat persediaan bahan baku tidak dapat dipastikan sehingga material terkadang banyak dan kadang kala habis. Dalam menggunakan tenaga kerja dan fasilitas produksi yang tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan permintaan, maka kegiatan produksi tidak berjalan secara efektif dan efisien. Sumber daya yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan harus diketahui secara detail, agar perusahaan dapat menggunakan kemampuan sumber daya yang ada secara optimal. Perusahaan dalam mencapai permintaan produk harus mengetahui kapasitas produksi yang dimiliki, sehingga kemampuan target produksi perusahaan dapat dicapai secara optimal, dengan melakukan pengukuran waktu standar pada operasi kerja dan menentukan performance rating untuk masing-masing operator. Dalam menentukan permintaan produk untuk periode berikutnya menggunakan metode peramalan jenis regresi linier dengan jumlah permintaan produk sebesar 1278 kg. Perencanaan kebutuhan material (MRP) pesanan dapat dilakukan pada hari ke-7 tiap bulan sesuai dengan jumlah masing-masing jenis bahan baku. Production activities which are conducted by some companies still use a lot of material inventory that production activities can run smoothly, but this condition is not considered optimal because many sources in the plant, so the investment is only in use for material. Ordering a material is not supported by data appropriately in product demand, it will make inventory of raw materials can not be sure so that the material is sometimes a lot and sometimes run out. The use of labor and production facilities are not accordance with demand, finally the production activities are not effective and efficient. Resources owned by the company must to be known in detail, so that the company can use capabilities of existing resources optimally. Company to achieve product demand should know the productive capacity, so that the ability of the company’s production targets can be achieved optimally, by measuring standard time at work operations and determine performance rating for each operator. In determining the demand for the product the next period using the method of linear regression forecasting the number of types of product demand of 1278kg. Material requirements planning (MRP) orders can be made on day 7 of each month in accordance with the number of each type of raw material.

Inventory of raw materials is the initial process in planning and controlling production. Because by planning and controlling raw materials, it becomes one of the processes to produce an optimal production system. In order for raw material inventory to be controlled, the MRP method is used in its completion. In the case study at CV Ajax Sport, it is known that controlling raw material inventory using MRP produces an inventory value of Rp. 139,911,944,- for 12 weeks, with the number of orders for F300 raw materials as many as 71,716 units and for G300 raw materials as many as 67,297 units. And this value shows a very large value both financially and product units, so it must be managed appropriately and accurately.

The use of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and the evaluation of raw materials using Computer to aid the planning of a job shop have been undertaken. Raw Material Planning (MRP) models and computer programme (Visual Basic) to automatically generate the result was developed. A typical job shop industry was used to test the validity of the model and computer programme developed. It is found readily useful in a developed and developing countries where the situation prevails. The result shows an improvement upon the vigorous manual method used in the time part, and minimizes the service level to the firm’s customer and investment in inventory.

Inventory management without Material Requirement systems in CV. Bangun Cipta Artha resulted in the lot size for each order of raw materials not optimal. One concept that can be used to plan and control raw materials is the Material Requirement Planning. This study is to determine the number of sizes of raw material orders, the exact order time, the method that produces the lowest cost for each raw material, and the effect of using MRP on inventory costs. This research conducted on 160x200cm spring bed products. Data was analyzed by making production master schedules, determining net requirements, determining lot size, and making MRP tables. Based on the results, the determination the best lot sizing is the order quantiy period which results in a total inventory cost of Rp. 26,475,220 where the total cost is lower, compared to lot for lot method which Rp. 43,464,000. part period balancing Rp. 33,106,576, and conventional method Rp.49,472,912. The research is divided into an understanding of the target costing, understanding of the Kaizen costing, and to which the outcome is to be obtained using the target and Kaizen costing. The study combines costing targets with costing kaizen for cost reduction. This research is a type of descriptive research with the case study type at PT. Victory Garmintex. The research at PT. Victory Garmintex begins with determining the objectives, namely the business of Kaizen based on the price that the consumer wants to pay and should be achieved. Once it is started to identify and eliminate waste. The result is the elimination of waste and minimized waste; Use of raw materials, raw material supplies, packaging processes, packing processes, and waste of work, and the extravagance of transportation. The final step is to evaluate the implementation of Kaizen costing. Evaluation is done by comparing the actual earned savings achieved with the objectives set at the beginning.  The results of the evaluation showed PT. Victory Garmintex has managed to reduce the company's production costs using the target costing and kaizen costing. Keywords: Costing target, kaizen costing, cost reduction, waste, elimination of waste, small step   Penelitian ini terbagi dalam pemahaman tentang target costing, pemahaman tentang kaizen costing dan sejauh mana hasil yang bakal diperoleh dengan menggunakan target dan kaizen costing. Penelitian ini menggabungkan antara target costing dengan kaizen costing untuk pengurangan biaya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif  dengan  jenis  studi kasus pada PT. Victory Garmintex. Penelitian di PT. Victory Garmintex, diawali dengan menentukan tujuan, yaitu usaha kaizen yang berdasarkan harga yang ingin dibayarkan konsumen dan harus dicapai. Setelah itu dimulailah mengidentifikasi dan mengeliminasi pemborosan. Hasilnya adalah dieliminasinya pemborosan dan diminimumkannya pemborosan; pemakaian bahan baku, persediaan bahan baku, proses pengemasan, proses pengepakan, serta pemborosan gerak kerja, dan pemborosan transportasi. Langkah terakhir yang dilakukan adalah mengevaluasi implementasi kaizen costing. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan penghematan aktual yang berhasil diperoleh dengan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan di awal.  Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan PT. Victory Garmintex telah berhasil mengurangi biaya produksi perusahaan dengan menggunakan target costing dan kaizen costing. The development of the business world is currently experiencing a very rapid growth rate. Planning for the proper procurement of materials will be able to facilitate the company's production activities. Production process activities in companies often experience problems such as inaccurate production, which is caused by delays in the arrival of raw materials, and damage to raw materials due to too long storing in warehouses. This study aims to plan future needs with the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) approach by doing forecasting, making the Master Production Schedule (MPS), Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and conducting a cost analysis of the five methods used. The results of this study are forecasting product demand will be used linear regression method, and effective material requirements planning method with the lowest cost is to use the Lot For Lot (LFL) method of $ 164.48. The application of the Lot For Lot method can reduce costs by 90.06% compared to the Fixed Period Requirements (FPR) method used by the company.

Introduction: Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a technique or a logical procedure to translate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) of the finished goods or end item into the net requirements for some of the components needed to implement the MPS. MRP is used to determine the amount of material needs to support the Master Production Schedule and when the material needs to be scheduled.Methods: The study is conducted on 13 August 2018 until 12 September 2018 at the installation Nutrition RSIA Kendangsari Merr Surabaya. Collecting data in this study using several methods, including: observation- This stage is conducted in all parts related to the object of study, starting from the Purchase Order (PO) by a head cook up to raw material stored in the storage, discussion- author interviews and collects data to communicate and discuss with the respondents. Respondents in this study are the head of the nutrition unit and head cook of RSIA who have the authority doing the purchasing.Results: Planning of procurement of raw materials to the menu rawon in RSIA can use the Exponential Smoothing method. The discussion has compared two methods of forecasting and the results are consistent with the demand’s patterns of Simple Moving Average method, Exponential Smothing. Forecasting has the lowest error rate by using Exponential Smoothing. The second conclusion is a technique of determining the appropriate Material Requirement Planning in raw material procurement to menu rawon in RSIA is using Lot for Lot.

ABSTRACT This research aims to study of inventories contol of rice raw materials at Buyung Putra Pangan Ltd. PP Buyung Banyuasin Regency and to examine the problems in inventories of rice raw materials at Buyung Putra Pangan Ltd. PP Buyung Banyuasin Regency.  This research has been conducted at Buyung Putra Pangan Ltd. PP Buyung Banyuasin Regency, time data taking over conducted in May – July 2017.  The research method used was the case study method, the sample method used was the purposive sampling, collection data method used is the observation, interviews and documentation.  Process method and analysis data used to answer the problem first and second is a qualitative-descriptive, to know the princely safety stock using the formula safety.  Our results indicate that of inventories control of rice raw material at Buyung Putra Pangan Ltd. PP Buyung Banyuasin Regency use by way to perform, own production to need meet raw material as long production, to perform to do stock rice the Silo GSI used was the formula safety stock in the amount of 6,596.27 tons every month of rice raw material available permanent. And obstacles faced by trade in inventories rice raw material is no yet available raw material to do collectors every time and great less kapacitas stock the raw material (Rice Silo GSI).
