Easter Trope Quem queritis in the Lead-up to the Liturgical Drama

При изучении средневековой культуры бывает довольно сложно провести четкие границы между понятиями, категориями, поскольку многие из них либо сформировались позже, либо со временем наполнились другими смыслами. К таковым относятся драма и богослужение, на стыке которых возникло то, что в XIX веке получило название «литургическая драма». Вместо того чтобы прочертить между ними границу и исследовать изолированно, мы попробовали устремить взгляд на пограничные зоны: пространственные (взаимодействие песнопений внутри богослужения, их перемещение, поведение монахов в храме) и временные (этапы возникновения, становления и трансформации). В статье рассматриваются вопросы возникновения внутри пасхального богослужения драматического элемента - тропа-диалога Quem queritis («Что ищете»), его предполагаемых текстовых и интонационных литургических истоков, а также обратного воздействия тропа на канонические песнопения, благодаря которому стало возможным формирование литургической драмы как цельного, сюжетно и музыкально выстроенного эпизода внутри службы. It is quite difficult sometimes to draw a strict line between some concepts and categories while analyzing the medieval culture. The reasons are either these categories, which researchers are trying to define, appeared much later, or the meaning behind them was being changed through the centuries. One of the problematic areas is the concepts of drama and liturgy. Right on the border between them, there have appeared something that have received a name “liturgical drama” in the 19 century. Instead of trying to split these phenomena apart and study them separately, we have decided to switch our attention to the borders itself, both spatial (the chant interaction inside the liturgy, their replacement, the monks' behavior in the cathedral's space) and temporal (stages of origin, becoming and transformation). In this article, the attention is focused on the two main subjects. The first one is the genesis of the dialogue trope Quem queritis (“Whom do you seek”), which was the first dramatic element within the Easter liturgy. The second one is the reverse impact of the trope to the traditional liturgical chants, which made possible the appearance of the liturgical drama as a solid, all-in-one episode with the fine and logical textual and musical subject.

The present study seeks to explain the techniques and procedures, the concepts and categories with which the interpretation of the object studied, that is - documents related to the High School  Technical Professional Education Policy - implemented in Bahia / Brazil, specifically, the reference regarding Paul de Bryne’s quadripolar approach (1977), which provide the theoretical-methodological density of the object studied in relation to the epistemological, theoretical, technical and morphological poles. In this perspective, it is agreed with Gamboa (1987), in the sense that, the accomplishment of a research is not the fulfilment of ‘methodological ritualism’ with a ‘theoretical fad’ in order not to repeat what commonly happens in research in education, in progressively more intense way, of eclectic attempts that randomly collect techniques, methods and theoretical references without a clear understanding of the epistemological foundations and the philosophical implications of the different paths of knowledge.

The relevance of the study is due to the inevitable obsolescence of fixed concepts and categories of design theory that make up the theoretical foundation of the master's course “History and Methodology of Design”, which is associated with the closeness of the resulting categorical-conceptual systems. The aim of the study is to create a dynamic structure of concepts and design categories that form the categorical-conceptual apparatus of the course. As a methodological basis of the study, a cultural approach is used that allows one to "practically implement a systematic view" on a design that is in the process of constant development and updating. In the course of work, the following research methods are used: problem statement, definition and systematization of concepts and categories, comparative method, historical and cultural analysis. As a result of the study, the authors of the article propose to consider the system of concepts and categories of the course in the form of a “network” formed around the concept of “design culture”, the content of which is revealed using the category of “proektnost”. The proposed structure allows us to preserve the fundamental plurality of interpretations of the concept of design and justify the methodological pluralism of design practice.

This chapter studies intellectual property (IP). A hallmark of the New Private Law (NPL) is attentiveness to and appreciation of legal concepts and categories, including the traditional categories of the common law. These categories can sometimes usefully be deployed outside of the traditional common law, to characterize, conceptualize, and critique other bodies of law. For scholars interested in IP, for example, common law categories can be used to describe patent, copyright, trademark, and other fields of IP as more or less “property-like” or “tort-like.” Thischapter investigates both the property- and tort-like features of IP to understand the circumstances under which one set of features tends to dominate and why. It surveys several doctrines within the law of copyright that demonstrate how courts move along the property/tort continuum depending on the nature of the copyrighted work at issue—including, in particular, how well the work’s protected contours are defined. This conceptual navigation is familiar, echoing how common law courts have moved along the property/tort continuum to address disputes over distinctive types of tangible resources.

In the article the concepts and categories of nature of the categories "current assets", "workingcapital", "current funds" have been examined and investigated the relationship between these categoriesand approaches to classification of current assets of enterprise that are presented in the publications ofdomestic and foreign scientists. The have been investigated analysis of composition, structure anddynamics of the working capital of an enterprise and its separate elements were made for four years,which is invested in its current assets based on the data of food industry enterprises of Odesa region.Estimation of the effect of turnover of enterprise working capital invested in accounts receivable andreserves on liquidity of current assets has been was made. The ways of increasing efficiency of currentassets use in PLC “Odesaconditer” were proposed.

Abstract: In this paper, we attempt to provide some ways of thinking about text, relating it to the concept of metaphors, multimodality and texture. Our aim is to develop new insights in meaning making and communication more generally, by bringing examples of memes; a relatively new genre, often seen on social media posts. To do so, we discuss the notion of text (HALLIDAY; HASAN, 2002; BEAUGRANDE, 1997; KRESS, 2010) and then, we discuss texture as a semiotic resource for the production of texts and its metaphors (DJONOV; VAN LEEUWEN, 2011). To exemplify some concepts and categories, we explore memes, seeking to understand their constitution as well as their qualities and potential meanings of visual textures deployed in the text to make meaning material through multimodal metaphors.Keywords: text; texture; social semiotics; multimodal metaphors.Resumo: Neste artigo, pretendemos propor algumas maneiras para se pensar a noção de texto, relacionando-a aos conceitos de metáfora, multimodalidade e textura. Nosso objetivo é desenvolver novos insights a respeito da produção de sentido e da comunicação de forma geral. Como exemplo, trazemos  memes com o bordão “É verdade esse bilete”. Como esse gênero é relativamente novo e frequentemente visto em posts nas redes sociais, discutimos a noção de texto (HALLIDAY; HASAN, 2002; BEAUGRANDE, 1997; KRESS, 2010) e de textura como um recurso semiótico para a produção de textos e suas metáforas (DJONOV; VAN LEEUWEN, 2011). Para exemplificar algumas noções e categorias, exploramos os memes, buscando compreender como eles se constituem, assim como suas qualidades e seus possíveis sentidos de texturas visuais utilizadas para produção de metáforas multimodais.Palavras-chave: texto; textura; semiótica social; metáforas multimodais.

The need to learn new concepts and categories persists through the lifespan, yet little is known about how aging affects concept learning and generalization. Here, we trained young and older adults to classify typical and boundary category members and then tested category generalization to new stimuli. During training, older adults had increased difficulty compared to young adults learning category labels for boundary items, but not typical items. At test, categorization performance that included new items at all levels of typicality was comparable across age groups, but formal categorization models indicated that older adults relied to a greater degree on generalized (prototype) category representations than young adults. These findings align with the proposal that older adults are able to form category representations based on central tendency even when they have difficulty learning and remembering individual category members. More broadly, the results contribute to our understanding of multiple categorization strategies and the limited strategy flexibility in older adults. They also highlight how reliance on
