Qur’an recitation is one of the components of Islamic Education for special education pupils with learning difficulties. The instruction of the Qur'an recitation for special education pupils is different when compared to average pupils. This paper discusses the Qur'an recitation learning scenario for special needs pupils with learning difficulties of moderate functional learning. Moreover, there are some challenges that teachers need to face in teaching Quran recitation to these pupils. However, the shortcomings of these pupils can be overcome through different learning compared to the natural ones. Therefore, pupils with learning problems will not be neglected in the study of the Qur'an.

Abstract Education is the rightful authority of all citizens, not to the exception of citizens with physical, emotional, mental, intellectual and / or social impairments, who are entitled to special education. One of the implementation is in the form of policy from the district / municipality education office that recommends regular schools are ready to provide inclusion program if they have Inclusive or special needs students, one of them is student of learning inclusion difficulties. The problem often encountered in establishing inclusive students is when conducting the teaching and learning process, the principal along with the teachers should select and assign learners who deserve inclusion education in accordance with predetermined criteria. Where the assessment of each criterion has not yet used a decision method, so assessment among participants still uses predictions or estimates that may lead to subjective judgments. So as to elicit precisely the selection of student inclusion of learning difficulties. With the development of information technology covering all fields, it is necessary to design a system that can assist in determining student inclusion of learning difficulties, in order to help facilitate the school in selecting and establishing student inclusion of learning difficulties, so that the desired results on target and in accordance with the criteria that have been set.

Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), also known as COVID-19, has surprised the country worldwide. The COVID-19 pandemic has had significant implications for communities around the world in general and Malaysia in particular. COVID-19 has caused various sectors to be affected by the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, including educational institutions in Malaysia. This matter also concerns Islamic Education teachers in Special Education because the Teaching and Learning process (PdP) of Islamic Education with students with learning disabilities (OKU MP) had to be implemented online. Thus, the study's objective is to identify the PdP method used by teachers of Islamic Education in Special Education and the challenges faced when conducting PdP with OKU MP during COVID-19. This study uses a qualitative method by using a questionnaire approach and documentation to collect data for the study objectives. The study found that identifying specific and appropriate techniques before starting the PdP with students with learning disabilities is the primary method in the PdP of Islamic Education during COVID-19. The main challenges in the PdP of Islamic Education for OKU MP students are issues related to technological facilities as well as matters of commitment of students and parents, skills and expertise of teachers as well as the lack of Supported Learning Material (BBM) while continuing the PdP online due to the implementation of Movement Control Order (MCO) by the Malaysian government. Researchers hoped that this study could help teachers and OKU MP face the challenges to continue the PdP of Islamic Education during COVID-19 and reference educational institutions in improving the PdP process for OKU students in Malaysia in general. Keywords: Teaching and Learning (PdP), Islamic Education, Special Education, Students with Learning Disabilities, COVID-19 Abstrak Negara telah digemparkan dengan satu wabak yang dinamakan sebagai Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) atau dikenali juga sebagai COVID-19. This article focuses on the practicalities, playful interventions and value of facilitating a family dramatherapy group at a Special Needs primary school. The group, comprised of four children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and their four primary carers, is co-facilitated by the author, a qualified dramatherapist, and a teaching member of staff. As the majority of children travel to and from school on a specially provided bus, there are few opportunities for their parents to meet one another. The dramatherapy group provides the parents with the opportunity to speak about the practical and medical aspects prevalent in their family worlds. It also offers all the participants something different: a ‘secure base’ which encourages individuals to take creative risks, attune, and reflect back feelings present within the group as part of a contained and confidential experience. Their unique relationships are witnessed, valued and developed through the therapeutic mediums of drama and movement. The article explores the theory related to the practice, and evidences, promotes and evaluates the rationale for family work with this client group.

AbstractThe effects that historical, philosophical and empirical factors have had upon the development of special education in Australia for children with learning disabilities/difficulties are examined. It is suggested that owing to the early neglect by the various education departments in providing effective services there has been a resultant dearth of professionally competent personnel to implement policies being formulated upon the emerging philosophies in special education. It is therefore argued that Australia requires an effective thrust into research at the classroom, the delivery and the teacher preparation levels so that the relatively diminishing resources for education may be better utilized for the child with a learning problem.

AbstractConstructivist literature has become increasingly prominent in the area of special education. The nature of constructivism and its relevance and limitations for students with special needs is discussed, as is the importance of appropriate research in determining the efficacy of instructional interventions. A search of the literature into the efficacy of constructivism for students with special needs in K-12 settings revealed a predominance of descriptive and discussion-based research and very limited experimental research. The limited existing experimental research indicates that constructivist instructional approaches may have circumscribed applications in special education. Specifically, they may be appropriate to applications for students with learning difficulties in areas such as science education. Nevertheless, there are major methodological and interpretative problems that undermine confidence in the existing body of research. These problems include an absence of adequate procedural reliability data, interventions that often involve teaching single or very small groups of students, and conditions that do not approximate regular classrooms. There is also evidence suggesting that constructivist approaches may be inappropriate and ineffective for students with intellectual disabilities. The need for considerable caution and extensive further research in this area is evident, in light of the ready adoption of constructivism in schools and the increase of constructivist literature.

Inclusion education is an educational concept that does not distinguish the background of a child's life just because of physical and mental limitations. This education is intended for children with special needs to be able to hone their talents and motivations since few of them experience problems in receiving and processing the information around them. Generally, the problem is known as specific learning difficulties (learning disabilities) which is a disorder in one or more of the basic psychological processes covering the understanding and the use of spoken or written language. The department of elementary madrasah teacher education of Islamic education faculty of Muhammadiyah Magelang University (PGMI FAI UMMagelang) is trying to formulate Scientific Vision which is manifested as an explanation in the vision of department which means “Excellence in Inclusive Education.”
