scholarly journals Fabrication of Automated Four-Way Hack Saw Machine by using Scotch Yoke Mechanism

Now days, increasing productivity is the main requirements in production engineering. This is possible by either reducing the operation time or by improving the efficiency of the machine. In the mass production, work pieces are machined simultaneously without any ideal time. This machine operates four hack saws simultaneously at the identical time. In this project the human effort is reduced by automating the hack saw machine, which performs less and easier operations of cutting the wood, metals and plastic materials. In This current research, a scotch yoke (Slotted link) mechanism is used to convert rotary motion of the pulley into the reciprocating motion of the hack saw frame to get the desired cutting action. Additionally, by keeping the Rheostat to the motor, the speed of hack saw frame is controlled according to the type of the work piece, and also the hack saw frame can be attached or removed when the work center is in ideal. Hence, by the four way hacksaw machine, the production rate can be increased and cost of labor also minimized.

Cutting of material is one of the important machining parameters for development of different fabricated model like shaft, bolts and screws etc. for a mass production the material need to cut in a multiple way or manner at a same time and this is to be perform on a power hack saw or multiple way hack saw machine which consume less time. This paper propose the design considerations and development of four way hacksaw machine which is able to cut four pieces of same or different material simultaneously with a very less time consumption. The motor is used as a source of power generation. Conversion of rotary motion of motor shaft into reciprocating motion is obtained by using eccentric cam. This machine can perform cutting operation on four different components by four ways at a time on different material simultaneously and therefore this machine becomes very useful in industry because of its efficiency, reliability and compatibility. This machine overcomes traditional hack saw machine which cuts material single work piece at particular time interval and also fulfills today’s need of mass production

Abstract Production rate decline is one of the most common challenges in production engineering. Obviously, the first step to overcome this challenge is to understand its main reason. In this article a new approach is developed which can be used to compare the effectiveness of artificial lifting and well stimulation. The method is based on a couple of charts which summarize the results of integrated simulation of formation and well-column. In the first graph, called FPI curve, production rate is drawn as a function of productivity index. Some important points are also specified on this diagram which are current state, production rate at maximum possible productivity index and production rate when the well is equipped with a pump or gas lifting. In the second graph derivative of production rate of different wells are drawn as a function of productivity index. The analysis of three actual wells with conventional IPR-TPR curves and also our suggested curves is discussed in this paper. It is seen that the introduced approach can be used as a powerful tool to predict the effectiveness of well stimulation and artificial lifting and make a clear comparison between them.

Nanodiamond/Ni and Ni coatings were fabricated via brush plating. Nanocrystalline structure of the composite coating was investigated by SEM and XRD. The results showed that the composite coatings are nanocrystalline structure. The hardness of the nanodiamond/Ni composite coating is higher greatly than that of Ni coating. At same time, the reasons of formation nanocrystalline were discussed, which include the nucleation rate with the increase of a high over-potential, the reciprocating motion between brush and work piece, the heterogeneous nucleation of nanodiamond. The nanodiamonds as second phases make grain finer. The nanodiamonds of core-shell structure play the important role in wear resistance and antifriction. So the wear resistance of the composite coatings is significantly higher than nickel coating’s.

For the low status of straw utilization, in order to improve the mass production rate and reduce energy consumption, according to the classification principle and the idea of “first cut ,second crush”, a set of cutting, screening, crushing, and re-screening as one of the universal closed type straw cutting mill was designed. Design plan was set, the structure diagram of the process of cutting and screening was given, major working parts such as the feeding body, cutting body, shattered body were designed and calculated, the cutting and crushing productivities was 0.29t/h and 0.32t/h respectively, matching power was 10KW. It plays an important role on the richness variety of straw processing equipments, increase straw utilization, and reduction energy consumption.


Automatic cooking machine’ as the name itself implies, cooking of food automatically without any human effort. Main aim is to make cooking easier, simple and less time consuming.[1] The machine will have pre-loaded recipes of your choice and the amount of ingredients will be specified in a Clanguage program, so you just have to choose the recipe you want to eat and the machine will start to prepare your food and notify you when the food is ready.[2] In present day scenario there is a rapid increase in inventions of machines which are based on automation process and they are used in every sector from home to industries. Our machine consists of induction cooker, bowls, oil and water pump, spice dispenser and some other components whose purpose is for stepwise addition of ingredients and cooking the food eventually. We have newly designed cooking pot which avoids the foods from burning. This machine can prepare food as close as food which can be prepared by a human hand.For communicating with the machine, we have installed a HMI interface through which we give command to the machine and every working process of the machine is controlled by Arduino2560 kit. This machine can be used in our day to day life and even in industries for mass production of certain food products.

In agricultural sector, generally farmer uses the traditional way of carrying a spray tank on his back and spray onto the crop. This is time consuming, costly and fatigue is also a major concern. These problems can be overcome by using a reciprocating multi sprayer. It facilitates uniform spread pesticides or insecticides. Precision made nozzle tip is used for adjustable stream capable of throwing foggy spray depending on the requirement. we use a slider crank mechanism to convert rotary motion into reciprocating motion to operate the pump. The pesticide is spread through the nozzle giving a continuous flow of pesticide at the required pressure. A special arrangement adjusts the pressure from low to high. We also use a weed cuter for removing the unwanted weeds. By using this agricultural sprayer, spraying time, weeding time and human efforts are reduced and resulting in cost reduction. Aim of the project is that the farmer need not carry the entire pesticide sprayer pump on his shoulders, but just pull/push the mechanism mounted on the trolley to operate the pump to spray.This makes the farmer feel more comfortable, relaxed and less tiresome by reducing human efforts due to the constant pumping action.
