With the increasing aging of the population, the demand for elderly assistance machinery is increasing. By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing elderly assistance devices and analyzing the daily activities and care needs of the elderly, this paper determines the main functions of the mechanical devices for the elderly to move around alone and proposes a general design scheme. Based on the overall design plan, the main mechanisms such as axillary support mechanism, sitting mechanism, posture adjustment mechanism and wheel mechanism were designed, and the operability and stability of the device were improved through the linkage of the variable cell mechanism. Virtual prototype modeling was carried out by solidworks to verify the rationality of the structure. The device not only has better function, but also has simpler structure and lower maintenance cost, which is more suitable for market demand.

The identification of traditional architectural elements in the design plan of Balai RW 7 tries to apply a study of reinterpretation of traditional architecture in order, to know the architectural elements that can be applied to the design concept. The purpose of this study is to find architectural elements of Javanese houses that can be used as the basis for transformation in the contemporary design of Balai RW 7. This study was written using a qualitative descriptive analysis method to analyze data compiled from literature sources in national journals that discuss elements of traditional Javanese architecture. The elements of traditional Javanese architecture are then reinterpreted descriptively based on the functions and facilities contained in the Balai RW plan. The results found elements of Javanese architecture that could be applied to the design concept, namely the display focused on the transformation of the 5 typologies of the roof of the Javanese house, the spatial pattern adapted to the functions and facilities of the Balai RW, the transformation of ornamentation of flora, fauna, nature, and belief, the orientation is directed to face north or south but still adapts to the existing conditions of the site and the environment, some materials use more modern substitute materials, as well as the transformation of the roof construction of  empyak raguman and the construction of umpak, soko guru and tumpang sari in the receiving area with materials using several substitute materials.

Abstract The starting and safety protection system is an important part ofthe explosion-proof diesel engine, and there are malfunctions in the explosion-proof diesel engine, such as difficulty in starting and failure in protection. As a gas working medium, compressed air is safe, reliable, and advantageous in acquisition and storage. Therefore, analyzing the starting principle and safety protection requirements of explosion-proof diesel engines and studying the correlation between the two systems, a set of starting and safety protection systemsusing compressed air as the working medium is designed in this paper. Moreover, the performance requirements of the main components in the system are studied, analyzing and calculating the operating parameters in the system, so that the design plan can be optimized. The problems appearing instarting and safety protection of explosion-proof diesel engines are solved through this system.

Abstract With the continuous need for COVID-19 testing in Thailand, the country lacks appropriate screening and sample-taking facilities. Based on an earlier functional prototype realized by the authors, this research aims to design, plan, and realize a screening station at a safe distance from healthcare facilities to protect those involved from coronavirus infection while the sample is being collected. The design, planning, and realization methodology combines design rationalization processes, including an expert survey based on a prototype analysis, a user survey of potential operators, and an SOP derivation based on government guidelines. Outcomes to improve the resulting station design allow later use changes, improved transportation, and speedier installation in the required locations. Results show the station design improved to the earlier prototype version, suggesting better operation flow and flexible usage, especially in rural regions where the need for isolated testing facilities is prevalent. The constructed screening station design is considered safe, operational, and suitable for implementation near healthcare facilities, offering a low risk of contamination and adaption to individual needs. Its long-lasting character and variable use also help improve health care facilities’ future pandemic preparedness. This research is funded through the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).

Conceptual Design of Mumbul Christian Cemetery Badung Regency, Bali. Mumbul Christian Park has a land area of 1.6 ha and is located in a residential area. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the Mumbul Christian Cemetery, analyze and synthesize the potential and constraints on the site. This study useda survey method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature study. This study uses the Simonds (1996) design process stage method. The design process is divided into four stages, namely: Research, Analysis, Syntesis, and Design Plan. The division of space zones on the site is based on a concept that is in accordance with the meaning of death in Christianity, namely the zone of birth, the zone of temporary life and the zone of eternal life. The concept of Paradise of Memorial Park is the concept of a park as a garden of memories as well as a public space. The results of this research design can be used as a reference for thought and consideration in designing the landscape site and in other tomb garden areas.

For the support problem of the super-large section cut in working face with large mining height, the 1105 cut pilot chamber of Zhaogu No. 2 Mine, the roof strata structure detection and the strata movement rule research were conducted. The results prove that concentrate fracture area, gradually sparse fracture area, and rare fracture area regularly distributed from the surface to the deep area of the roof of 1105 cut, and less fracture exists in the rock stratum of roof above 3.5 m, and the stratum of roof within the range of 4–6 m is stable. Authors propose the long bolt and cable combined supporting technology and optimized the design plan applying theoretical calculation and computer numerical simulation. The scheme has been applied in the field of the 1105 super-large section cut in Zhaogu No. 2 Mine. The monitoring results show that the scheme can effectively control surrounding rock of roadway, and the support with long bolt has good effectiveness.

Abstract “Tanjung Budaya Pemuteran” is a place of coastal tourism and alternative tourism based on community culture in Pemuteran Village, Bali. The landscape characteristic and inherent local wisdom make this bay is a unique place. Gebug ende is the native rain harvesting ritual of Pemuteran society, which can be suggestive evidence. Currently, Tanjung Budaya Pemuteran landscapes not suitable to support the site function. This research aims to identify the existing landscape to make Tanjung Budaya Pemuteran use optimally without disregarding inherent local wisdom. Landscape analysis spatial with the quantitative and qualitative approach used to know the potential and constraint. The landscape engineering approach is used to measure the volume of rainwater to optimize the result of Gebug ende rain harvesting. The basic concept of this landscape design is named “Identities of Pemuteran”. Design concept generated through the transformation of Gebug ende. The block plan becomes a schematic design product that consists of a welcome area, a culture tourism area, a recreation area, and a service area. Each area is connected by primer and secondary circulation. Plants on-site are regulated based on vegetation groups of Barrington, Pes caprae, Mangroves, and existing. Visuals on the site are also arranged according to the design plan. The landscape engineering method produced the construction of a rainwater harvester with a volume of 10 m3. Site plan interpretations are explained in more detail through the site section, design details, and some illustrations.

Decision-making is the process of carefully considering multiple options and choosing the best one. The EDAS (evaluation based on distance from average solution) method has been studied in many multi-attributes decision-making (MADM) problem which assumes decisionmaking under absolute rationality. However, people usually show the characteristics of bounded rationality in the real decision-making process. Prospect theory (PT) utilizes gains and losses relative to the reference point to explain this phenomenon better. In this paper, an enhancement EDAS method based on PT will be proposed, which shows better properties in practice. We apply the traditional EDAS method and enhancement EDAS method to the same case and we utilize the sensitivity analysis and comparative analysis to analyze their performances. The result shows that our approach has a superiority compared with the traditional EDAS method. The methods we present are of great significance for investment decision-making problems, new product development, design plan selection and supplier selection.
