Graphene and nanotwins are two effective reinforced microstructural features to achieve improved mechanical properties of metallic composites, while the two features are generally applied separately. In this study, graphene/nano-twinned Cu nanocomposites models with different arrangement of the graphene and twin boundaries were designed by using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, and the dislocation processes and the interactions between dislocation and graphene/twin were simulated and investigated. The simulation results indicated the arrangement of graphene and nanotwin affects the work hardening behaviors in the graphene/nano-twinned Cu composites, i.e., two staged work hardening behavior corresponded to cyclic process of dislocation hindrance-absorption-reemission in the model with relatively small twin spacing and twin-graphene spacing, while the work hardening dominated by dislocation intersection and multiplication occurred in the model with large twin-spacing. The simulation provided herein demonstrated that the special arrangement of graphene and nanotwins led a way to tailoring the mechanical properties of metallic composites with various work hardening behaviors. Graphical abstract Highlights 1. Dislocation reactions between twins and graphene were simulated and analyzed. 2. Twin-graphene distance and the twin distance play key roles in the reaction. 3. The mechanism corresponding to work hardening changes in the limited two distances.

In this paper, the failure mechanisms of large geotextile mats over soft soil are carried out through finite element analyses. A finite element model is generated and validated against centrifuge testing data and previously published data of numerical simulation. Parametric study is then carried out to investigate the geotextile tension distribution and the arrangement of crashed stone. Based on the parametric study, an optimized design considering the arrangement of rock berm and a special arrangement of large geotextiles was proposed to enhance the performance of the geotextile mats. The findings of this study can provide an engineering guidance for this new technique.

It is shown that the aviation business system determines the relationship between the producer of aircraft (AC) of the transport category and the airlines operating them, includes an order for the creation and delivery of aircraft and their modifications, as well as support documentation at all stages of the life cycle. The main requirements and conditions for the effective fulfillment of an operator's order for aircraft modifications have been synthesized, the implementation of which significantly contributes to the implementation of the principle of combining the functions of units and assemblies of aircraft modifications. The synthesized particular principles have, apparently, many ways of their constructive and technological implementation, the main of which are:- rational choice of appropriate construction materials;- giving the elements additional displacements;- use of the principle of reversibility with the appropriate structural and technological modification of the elements;- special arrangement of elements;-changing the structure and shape of elements.Combining the function of the elements is rational if, as a result of functional summation, mutual functional amplification, interference or superposition of gains, the efficiency of the combined element , determined by its functional property or their combination with the regulated reliability of the element  in the aircraft system, is higher than the functional efficiencies of the original elements.Since the combination of the functions of the elements is essentially one of the means of increasing the efficiency of the aircraft, it does not introduce fundamental features into the formulation of the mathematical problem of the optimal design of the aircraft and the units of its modifications, however, the formulated principles of combining the properties of the elements and the condition for the rationality of the combination of functions to a certain extent outline the main problems search for rational design and technological solutions for multifunctional elements of the aircraft. These problems, first of all, should include the development of the theoretical foundations of general and specific methods that establish the areas of optimal application of the formulated principles of preparation for production of aircraft modifications related to ensuring the quality of products, their manufacturability and reliability

ABSTRACT: In the first part: the law of navigation (20.094), we refer to the interests of the naval credit, starting with the order of privileges in the naval credit, analyzing the maritime privileges and the law of competitions, as well as maritime liens and the civil and commercial code. We then point out that, as an atypical feature of naval privileges, compared with the rest of those established in the argentine legal system, the interests due for one (1) year enjoy the same degree of privilege as capital (art. 474). We review the privileges on the ship, and highlight which are the privileged credits. we then review the interests in the naval mortgage, studying the content of the instrument of constitution of mortgage. Then we stop in the determination of the interest rate, to continue with the arrest of ships, analyzing what refers to the ship with national flag, where we point out that the arrest will cover the amount of the interest and the bond. We then discussed the special arrangement of creditors on a ship. In the second part we refer to the aeronautical code, starting with the aeronautical mortgage, and continuing with the interests, according to art. 767 of the CCCN.

Mixed marriage has become a common thing nowadays, but the arrangement in Indonesia is still limited. Even until now there has been no regulation regarding mixed marriages between Civil Servants and Foreign Citizens, even though their status as Civil Servants has various special consequences. Thus, there is a need for a special arrangement to accommodate the rights and obligations of perpetrators of mixed marriages between civil servants and foreign citizens. This type of research uses a normative juridical approach. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the urgency of establishing a regulation on mixed marriage between civil servants and foreigners is needed as a guide for civil servants in fulfilling their rights and obligations and their implementation needs to be outlined in the revision of PP. 10 of 1983 and PP. 7 of 1977.

In 1999, Barry Bolton postulated the presence of a basimandibular gland in the mandibles in all species of the ant genus Strumigenys, solely based on scanning microscopy observations. We now confirm the presence of this putative gland in the proximal outer part of the mandibles of 22 investigated species by histological and ultrastructural examination, including 10 short- and 12 long-mandibulate species. All species have a basimandibular gland, that is formed by 15–25 µm thick epithelial cells and belongs to class-1 following the standard classification of insect exocrine glands. We consider it a novel gland because of its peculiar bowl-shape and special arrangement of the microvilli that are confined to large vacuolar spaces instead of reaching the cuticle. The gland is most pronounced in S. mutica, particularly in the queen. In addition to this gland, we also found scattered class-3 intramandibular gland cells in the mandibles. Queens of S. mutica are peculiar in having a cluster of these cells in the distal tip of their mandibles. As this species is a social parasite, further research is required to determine whether the development of these mandibular glands is related to its parasitic lifestyle.

Abstract We present a model of how counting is learned based on the ability to perform a series of specific steps. The steps require conceptual knowledge of three components: numerosity as a property of collections; numerals; and one-to-one mappings between numerals and collections. We argue that establishing one-to-one mappings is the central feature of counting. In the literature, the so-called cardinality principle has been in focus when studying the development of counting. We submit that identifying the procedural ability to count with the cardinality principle is not sufficient, but only one of the several steps in the counting process. Moreover, we suggest that some of these steps may be facilitated by the external organization of the counting situation. Using the methods of situated cognition, we analyze how the balance between external and internal representations will imply different loads on the working memory and attention of the counting individual. This analysis will show that even if the counter can competently use the cardinality principle, counting will vary in difficulty depending on the physical properties of the elements of collection and on their special arrangement. The upshot is that situated factors will influence counting performance.

This paper deals with public areas in ancient residences. These zones, emphasising the social status of the owners of the houses, are analysed in several large residences erected in the Graeco-Roman Period in Nea Paphos, Cyprus: the ‘Hellenistic’ House, the Villa of Theseus, and the House of Aion. Particularly, the special arrangement of the layout and the architectural decoration of three major public zones were studied: the entrance, the main courtyard, and the main room.
