scholarly journals The Method of Logic Cyber Attack Detection of Abuse Functionality Type on Nginx Http-Server and Apache on the Basis of Fuzzy Logic

The article presents a method of abuse detection functionality of the most common open source http-servers Nginx and Apache, which currently implement a full web stack and serve more than 60% of traffic on the Internet. The proposed method is based on the application of the mathematical apparatus of fuzzy set theory and fuzzy inference to the selected analysis parameters corresponding to the properties of a logical cyber attack that realizes the vulnerability of web server data. To obtain the most accurate results of fuzzy inference the direction of adaptation of membership functions to the conditions of server operation (changes on the server and analysis of client behavior) based on the application of the mathematical apparatus of genetic algorithms is determined

In the modern pedagogical literature a large number of works are devoted to the issue of evaluating students mastered knowledge. Ensuring the quality of diagnostics of the level of knowledge acquisition by students of educational organizations is based on an adequate, reasonable, acceptable and accessible mathematical apparatus. The adequacy and validity of the mathematical apparatus allows you to significantly reduce the influence of the subjective factor on the assessment of knowledge acquisition and minimize objections to its application. On the other hand, acceptability makes it possible to use a specific situation under consideration as a diagnosis, taking into account only its inherent nuances. Accessibility also means the ability to use the proposed mathematical algorithm by teachers who have the necessary minimum of elements of the proposed mathematical apparatus. The article considers the possibility of determining the level of development of the studied topic by students on the basis of five factors of knowledge acquisition: 1. Understanding; 2. Recognition; 3.Reproduction; 4. Application; 5. Creativity. In this case, the calculations are performed by using a simplified method of hierarchy analysis and fuzzy set theory in order to reduce the subjectivity inherent in the rating system of evaluation, the use of elements of the hierarchy analysis method and fuzzy logic is proposed. The fuzzy set theory algorithm is implemented using the fuzzy Logic Toolbox application package of the MATLAB software environment. Using the method of hierarchy analysis is to aggregate scores based on the application of a matrix of paired comparisons. The synthesis of these methods allows us to obtain a fairly effective comparative assessment of students development of educational material. On the basis of the considered methodology for evaluating students assimilation of educational material, it is suggested that it is possible to reduce the influence of a subjective factor to a minimum.

Fuzzy logic is a way to map an input space into an output space. The basic of fuzzy logic is fuzzy set theory. In the fuzzy set theory, the role of membership degree is important to determine the presence of elements in a set. Membership degree is the fundamental feature of reasoning in fuzzy logic. There are several methods that are often used in solving fuzzy inference system, one of them is fuzzy Sugeno method. The aim of this research is applications of fuzzy methods is to forecast to determine the selling price of used motorcycles. In determining the selling price of used motorcycles, there are several things that need to be considered, namely : the production year of the motorcycles, the physical condition of the motorcycles, the origin of the license plates, and the purchase price of the motorcycles. The calculation can be done by using Matlab program. The result obtained were then tested using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) by calculating difference between the selling price of dealer minus the selling price of fuzzy Sugeno then divided by the selling price of dealer. From the test result, MAPE value obtained was 5,64% . This indicates that error rate below 10%, so we can say the result of these calculation is considerably accurate.

In this chapter, it is expressed how performance based design criteria are modeled with fuzzy logic and why it needs to be modeled with fuzzy logic. Firstly, a brief information is given about current theories and techniques such as Fuzzy Logic, Chaos, Fractal Geometry, Artificial Neural Networks; and it is mentioned about advantages of applying these techniques to the problems. Then graphical inference deduction technique is expressed by giving a summary info about Fuzzy Set Theory, membership functions, clustering, rule-based systems and defuzzification. Then the divergence of performance based design criteria is set forth by making curvature evaluations for various regulations on a column section as a structure element. Finally, it is shown in detail how to use the fuzzy set theory for solution of this disharmony by using the clustering technique on a univariate sample first and then on a multivariate sample.

Metapopulation theory considers that the populations of many species are fragmented into patches connected by the migration of individuals through an interterritorial matrix. We applied fuzzy set theory and environmental favorability (F) functions to reveal the metapopulational structure of the 222 butterfly species in the Iberian Peninsula. We used the sets of contiguous grid cells with high favorability (F ≥ 0.8), to identify the favorable patches for each species. We superimposed the known occurrence data to reveal the occupied and empty favorable patches, as unoccupied patches are functional in a metapopulation dynamics analysis. We analyzed the connectivity between patches of each metapopulation by focusing on the territory of intermediate and low favorability for the species (F < 0.8). The friction that each cell opposes to the passage of individuals was computed as 1-F. We used the r.cost function of QGIS to calculate the cost of reaching each cell from a favorable patch. The inverse of the cost was computed as connectivity. Only 126 species can be considered to have a metapopulation structure. These metapopulation structures are part of the dark biodiversity of butterflies because their identification is not evident from the observation of the occurrence data but was revealed using favorability functions.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the dark side the Internet and establish a hierarchical framework to provide its governance path based on users' negative psychology. However, this hierarchical framework must consider unnecessary attributes and the interrelationships between the aspects and the criteria. Hence, fuzzy set theory is used for screening out the unnecessary attributes, a decision-making and trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) is proposed to manage the complex interrelationships among the aspects and attributes, and interpretive structural modeling (ISM) is used to divide the hierarchy and construct a hierarchical theoretical framework. The results show that: (1) the institutional system is the driver of Internet governance improvement (2) personal values are the last link in the governance process (3) the governance transition from institutional system to values must cross the barriers of ethics and technology. This paper proposes a more systematic and integrated hierarchical framework which provides theoretical guidance to govern the dark side of the Internet.

Normally, most of the accidents that occur in underground facilities are not instantaneous; rather, hazards build up gradually behind the scenes and are invisible due to the inherent structure of these facilities. An efficient inference system is highly desirable to monitor these facilities to avoid such accidents beforehand. A fuzzy inference system is a significant risk assessment method, but there are three critical challenges associated with fuzzy inference-based systems, i.e., rules determination, membership functions (MFs) distribution determination, and rules reduction to deal with the problem of dimensionality. In this paper, a simplified hierarchical fuzzy logic (SHFL) model has been suggested to assess underground risk while addressing the associated challenges. For rule determination, two new rule-designing and determination methods are introduced, namely average rules-based (ARB) and max rules-based (MRB). To determine efficient membership functions (MFs), a module named the heuristic-based membership functions allocation (HBMFA) module has been added to the conventional Mamdani fuzzy logic method. For rule reduction, a hierarchical fuzzy logic model with a distinct configuration has been proposed. In the simplified hierarchical fuzzy logic (SHFL) model, we have also tried to minimize rules as well as the number of levels of the hierarchical structure fuzzy logic model. After risk index assessment, the risk index prediction is carried out using a Kalman filter. The prediction of the risk index is significant because it could help caretakers to take preventive measures in time and prevent underground accidents. The results indicate that the suggested technique is an excellent choice for risk index assessment and prediction.

Fuzzy set theory and fuzzy logic have been successfully developed in engineering and mathematics. However, these concepts have found great acceptance in social sciences in recent years since they provide an answer to those problems in the real world that cannot be modeled using classical mathematics. In this paper, we propose a new methodology for accounting science based on fuzzy triangular numbers. The methodology uses Hamming distance between fuzzy triangular numbers and arithmetic operations to evaluate corporate governance of multinational public stock corporations (PSCs) in the telecommunications sector.

The chapter begins by introducing the important and useful distinction between the research agendas of fuzzy logic in the narrow and the broad senses. The chapter deals with the latter agenda, whose ultimate goal is to employ intuitive fuzzy set theory for emulating commonsense human reasoning in natural language and other unique capabilities of human beings. Restricting to standard fuzzy sets, whose membership degrees are real numbers in the unit interval [0,1], the chapter describes how this broad agenda has become increasingly specific via the gradual development of standard fuzzy set theory and the associated fuzzy logic. An overview of currently recognized nonstandard fuzzy sets, which open various new directions in fuzzy logic, is presented in the last section of this chapter.

In this paper, we will visit Rough Set Theory and the Alternative Set Theory (AST) and elaborate a few selected concepts of them using the means of higher-order fuzzy logic (this is usually called Fuzzy Type Theory). We will show that the basic notions of rough set theory have already been included in AST. Using fuzzy type theory, we generalize basic concepts of rough set theory and the topological concepts of AST to become the concepts of the fuzzy set theory. We will give mostly syntactic proofs of the main properties and relations among all the considered concepts, thus showing that they are universally valid.
