Green marketing refers to the process of selling the products and services based on their environmental benefits. Green marketing is typically practiced by companies that are committed to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. The obvious assumptions of green marketing are that potential consumers will view a product or service’s “greenness” as a benefit and base their buying decision accordingly. The main purpose of the study is to measure the relationship among consumer awareness, consumer perception and consumer buying decision with regard to green marketing practices carried out by ITC LIMITED. The findings reveal that there is a positive relationship between consumer awareness, consumer perception and consumer buying decision with regard to green marketing.

The study conducted a theoretical review and review of previous studies shows that the research gap is the correlation between social responsibility factors, green marketing strategy, corporate reputation and business performance. The practical context of the tourism service industry in Vietnam is also necessary and suitable for research. The study's overall objective is to propose and test a model on the relationship between corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategy, corporate reputation, and business performance. In the case of the study, it is a travel service business in Ho Chi Minh City. The research methodology of the research is a mixed-method, performed sequentially as follows: the first qualitative research through interviews with 10 experts to consider the necessity of the research problem in Vietnam, to adjust and supplement the scales for research concepts; Quantitative research with a questionnaire survey. According to the quota principle (quota), the sample was selected with a sample size of 218 travel companies to test the proposed theoretical research model. A second qualitative study was performed to aid the interpretation of the results from quantitative data analysis. Research results have identified stakeholders in the tourism industry, including tourists, travel businesses, local authorities and local people. The relationships between research concepts are confirmed, including corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategies that have a positive impact on corporation reputation, corporate social responsibility is found to have a positive impact on green marketing strategies, corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategies, and corporate reputation all have positive effects on business results. At the same time, the enterprise's characteristics in terms of the main type of business and the size of the business are identified as having differences in the relationship between research concepts.

Employee retention is emerging as a critical issues impact on the competitive advantage. Internal corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been creating so much attention in the minds of employees during the recent years. Thus, the chapter is based on three objectives: First, it explores the relationship between internal CSR and employee retention. Second, it identifies how intrinsic motivation mediates the relationship between internal CSR and employee retention. Finally, it determines the internal CSR activities which the apparel industry should pay more attention to in order to better employee retention. Primary data were collected by using questionnaires, and the results of the study indicated that there is a positive relationship between internal CSR and employee retention. Moreover, intrinsic motivation partially mediates the relationship between the internal CSR and employee retention. The findings of the study identify the internal CSR activities which the apparel industry should pay more attention to in order to develop retention programs in the future.

Outside of direct ownership, the general public may feel it is an implicit stakeholder of a firm. As the public becomes more vested in a firm’s actions, the firm may be more likely to engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. We proxy for the public’s stake in a firm with public visibility. Based on 3400 unique newspaper publications from 1994–2008, we measure visibility for the S&P 500 firms with the frequency of print articles per year concerning the firm. We find that visibility has a signficant, positive relationship with the CSR rating. Evidence also suggests this relationship may be causal and working in one direction, from visibility to CSR. While the existing literature provides other factors that influence CSR, visibility proves to have the most significant impact when tested alongside those other factors. Visibility also has a mediating effect on the relationship between CSR rating and firm size. CSR rating and firm size relate negatively for the lowest visibility firms and positively for the highest. This paper provides strong evidence that visibility is an important factor to consider for studies on corporate social performance.

Compared to the rapid development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices in developing countries, especially in China, the research about the effect of CSR on firm value has evolved more slowly. This paper examines the relationship between CSR and firm value used by listed Chinese companies from 2010 to 2017. The results for the whole sample show CSR significantly reduces firm value. Additionally, there are no significant differences for the effect of CSR on firm value between state owned enterprises (SOEs) and non-SOEs or sensitive industry and non-sensitive industry. To explore whether the relationship changes over time, we divided the period into two sub-periods. During 2010–2014, the results are similar with those obtained by the whole sample. However, the results significantly change during 2015–2017. Specifically, the negative and significant relationship between CSR and firm value becomes non-significant in the second sub-period. Compared to the weakening effect of CSR for non-SOEs on firm value, CSR for SOEs alleviates the effect, and CSR of SOEs increases firm value significantly. Similar results are obtained for non-sensitive industry and sensitive industry. The changes are the result of increasing awareness by government, companies, and investors on sustainable development after 2015. This finding enriches the research on the dynamic effect of CSR on firm value in developing countries.

We selected the Chinese A-share listed companies during period of 2007 to 2017 as the research subject, and from the perspective of information and reputation effects, we examined the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) information disclosure and innovation sustainability. The results show that CSR information disclosure has a significant positive relationship with innovation sustainability. Analysis of the effects channel suggests that the information effect plays a dominant role; CSR information disclosure can alleviate the information asymmetry between managers and investors, controlling shareholders and minority shareholders, and alleviate the financing constraint problems, thereby improving innovation sustainability. Our findings support the information hypothesis but not the reputation hypothesis. The relationship between CSR information disclosure and innovation sustainability is more significant in non-state-owned companies. The moderating effect shows that managerial stock incentives can strengthen the positive relationship between CSR information disclosure and innovation sustainability. A series of robustness test results show that the conclusions are reliable. The research is important for promoting the fulfillment of CSR, improving corporate innovation, and promoting the healthy development of the capital market.

In recent years, attention has been increasingly paid to social-, environmental-, and ecology-related issues in the areas of diverse business operations. The concept of sustainable development of enterprises is an attempt to integrate a diverse set of requirements for the development of companies in the long-term future. The concept, which is set in a contradictory context of economic, social, and environmental aspects, is an attempt to balance fundamentally divergent requirements and aspirations. Sustainable enterprise development can be a source of competitiveness, provided the opportunities related to it are identified and implemented in a proper way. The research objective of this study is to diagnose the relationship between the company’s orientation towards the implementation of sustainability assumptions, the degree of implementation of the objectives of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, as well as the creation of value in a sustainable enterprise. The survey was conducted on a sample of 165 FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) sector enterprises. The results indicate the existence of a positive correlation between the variables analysed in the surveyed enterprises. Entrepreneurs guided by sustainable development pursue economic and non-economic values and have a more comprehensive set of appropriate measures necessary to create value in a sustainable enterprise, which consists of achieving economic, ecological, and social goals.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) implementation has been widely acknowledged as playing a key part in enhancing firm value as well as achieving sustainable development. However, up to now the extant works in the literature have yielded non-conclusive results regarding the relationships between CSR and firm value. One of the possible reasons is that the studies ignore the multi-dimensional characteristics of CSR—that is, they merely utilize a singular synthesized indicator as a proxy to represent the corporate’s CSR performance as being unreliable and problematic. Thus, this study breaks down CSR into numerous dimensions and further examines each dimension’s impact on firm value. By doing so, managers can allocate their firm’s valuable resources to suitable areas so as to increase its reputation and value. In addition, this research sets up an artificial intelligence (AI)-based fusion model, grounded by fusion learning theory that aims at complementing the error made by a singular model, to examine the relationship between CSR’s multidimensional characteristics and firm value. Through different combinations of adopted strategies, users can realize the most representative features from an over-abundant database.

Achieving sustainability is becoming a primary agenda for many societies throughout the world. However, we are currently witnessing a surprising stagnation in progress toward this goal. Neoliberal values of individualism, privatization and competitive advantage are proving to be hard to breach. Hence, there is a pressing need for change. Through an extensive literature overview, the present paper identifies existing misconceptions and differences in the comprehension of concepts such as sustainable development, corporate social responsibility and the relationship between strategic human resource management (HRM) and sustainable HRM. It describes and acknowledges the hindrances that sustainable HRM faces in practice, with a particular focus on the predominant schema of strategic HRM and the misconception of corporate social responsibility. The aspiration of the paper is to pose a new model of sustainability by implementing sustainable HRM at the center of sustainable development and corporate accountability. The proposed model is intended as a measurement of the levels of sustainable development in which organizations find themselves and report on, and as a more comprehensive model of sustainable HRM, which has the potential to be applied in practice.

Corporate Social Responsibility is the commitment for the equitable and sustainable development of the community. In the growth of society, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has had a huge influence and builds a healthy bond and a strong relationship. The company’s mainly focus on the three level of sustainable development–Environmental Preservation, Financial growth, and Social Development. The present study objective is to examine the impact of CSR on financial performance of selected manufacturing and service sector companies in India. The study also revealed the relationship between CSR score with ROE, ROA, and ROCE.  The study considered financial data of the Indian manufacturing and service industry for the year 2008 to 2017.  Correlation technique had been used to examine the relationship of CSR score and the financial parameters. The result the result shows that ROE, ROA, and ROCE have a negative correlation with CSR Score of Manufacturing Sector Companies. Whereas, ROE has positive correlation with CSR Score of Service Sector Companies together with ROA and ROCE have a strong a positive correlation with CSR Score of Service Sector Companies.  Hence, this result suggests that there is no significant association between CSR Score and Financial Performance of Manufacturing Sector Companies.   Received: 17 February 2021 / Accepted: 9 April 2021 / Published: 10 May 2021
