    The design of this research was descriptive qualitative that to draw about  English teaching profiles at Islamic of Elementary Schools in Kuranji – Padang. The researcher takes three schools by using purposive sample. They were Islamic State of Elementary schools Korong Gadang, Islamic State of Elementary School Gunung Sarik and Private Islamic State of Elementary School Sungai Sapih. The respondents consisted of three English teachers and the headmasters. In gathering the data, the researcher did observation and interview as instruments. In analyzing the data, the resercher followed two ways, namely; pure analysis and analytic. Pure analysis and analytic in order to describe the data naturally and connect it to the theory. The findings of this research showed that the English teachers at Elementary School should graduate from English pedagogical, because of that the teacher have to good techniques in teaching. In spite of the English teachers must able to prepare the suitable media with the material. The English teachers also use  good methods and evaluation to increase the students’ achievement.

 This research is aimed at describing the readiness of teaching-learning English at elementary school (ES) in Kodya Mataram, accentuating on perception of respondents; English teacher’s qualifications; the availability of English techer and teaching facility; students’ interest of study English; and constrains in English instruction. This survey assigns its subjects to 14 principals without EP, 49 parens of children’s schools with EP, and 55 parents of children’s schools without EP. The instruments used to collect data are questionnaire, interview guide, and observation form. The study reveals that (1) most respondents in each group are ready to teach English at ES; (2) English teachers’ qualification meet the criteria; (3) Of 30 ES without EP, 7 (23.33%) are ready, English text books for ES with are categorized mostly ready; and (4) Students at ES with are mostly ready. In addition, 9 (30%) of students at 30 non-ESP schools are totally not ready.

  The objective of this research is to describe English teachers' competency in selectingand developing, designing materials, doing teaching and learning process, using media and learning sources, and evaluating and making test. The design of this study was a survey that used descriptive analysis. This study revealed that the implementation of English teaching at elementary schools in Tenggarong municipality was poor. Similarly, teachers' competency in selecting, developing, anddesigning material, in doing teaching and learning process, in usingmedia and learning sources, and in evaluating and making test was also low or weak.

Abstract: Early Bird is a current product applied in Elementary School as a media of English teaching. It implies the progress of teaching learning process which enhances students?óÔé¼Ôäó ability in understanding English vocabularies and teacher?óÔé¼Ôäós creativity. This media has been acknowledged to Elementary English teachers who join in Gubug English Teachers?óÔé¼Ôäó Association, Grobogan. This media can help the English teachers create an alternative media based on the mechanism of Early Bird. It means that Early Bird cannot only be used as a media, but also can inspire the teachers to create an alternative media in teaching English in the Elementary school.Key words: Early Bird, alternative media, English teaching

This article aims to integrate local wisdom of Mangrove Ecotourism in the learning process in elementary schools to meet the demands of the 2013 curriculum based on local wisdom. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research using ethnography. The research sample consisted of 7 informants, with two community leaders, two people from the Youth and Sports Tourism Office and three classroom teachers. This research, using instrument through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that local wisdom of Mangrove Ecotourism can be applied in the learning process in grade IV elementary schools and can provide excellent benefits in the development of the developmental aspects of students not only in cognitive aspects but in affective and psychomotor aspects of students. This research is conducted to find outthe challenges in implementation of SBC in English teaching in madrasah Ibtidaiyah faced by the teachers in Banjarmasin South Kalimantan. There are two English teachers from two schools involved in this study; They are MIM Al Furqon, and MIN Kelayan Banjarmasin. Questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation were used to gather the data. The data needed are the implementation of SBC in English teachingwhich can be seen from the syllabus, lesson plan used by teachers and the implementation in class and also the challenges that the teachers face in implementing it. The result showed that one school out of two applied SBC in different style (MIM Al Furqan). It can be seen from the preparation, practice and evaluation. The other school, MIN I Kelayan, still applied previous curriculum. The challenges faced by English teachers were also varied among others are diversity of students, restricted time allocation for English, facilities, nonrealistic indicators in syllabus and educational background, workshop of curriculum development. All should be responsible in the hand of government and teachers.Key words: School Based Curriculum, English Teaching, Elementary schools

Attractive media for English as a foreign language at the elementary school needs to be elaborated with the cultural values. The aim is for students to have a fun and authentic learning experience because the media contains culture that they often see and even engage in. At the end, learning media integrated with local cultural values when applied to English learning in elementary schools can support the process of promoting students' characters. This study aims to find an animated video design with local cultural values in English language learning to promote the character of elementary school students in Gorontalo. It focuses on exploring students and English teachers perception towards integrating local cultural animated video in English language teaching media to promote students’ character. This study uses Research and Development design in the form of need analysis with mixed method data analysis. The respondents involve are 250 students in fifteen elementary schools in Gorontalo. The researcher uses questionnaire and interview to collect the data. The result shows that the students agreed that integrating animated video in English language teaching and learning are an interesting idea. They preferred choosing traditional games and songs as topics to be learnt with English. Meanwhile, the English teachers believed that the implementation of media or learning resources with Gorontalo cultural values can promote the character of elementary school students. However, teachers were unfamiliar with cultural integration in learning English. They have never found a media or source of learning English that covers Gorontalo culture. The culture that is considered necessary to be integrated together with English learning is Gorontalo tourism spots, and traditional dances and games.

Kualitas guru sangat mempengaruhi pendidikan pada setiap jenjangnya termasuk jenjang sekolah dasar. Profesi guru termasuk salah satu pekerjaan yang memiliki tingkat stres kerja yang tinggi. Salah satu penyebab stres adalah kurikulum pendidikan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat stres kerja dan strategi koping guru sekolah dasar negeri dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 di Kecamatan Bogor Tengah Kota Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif sederhana dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian ini melibatkan 222 guru di sekolah dasar negeri Kecamatan Bogor Tengah yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa sebesar (81,5%) guru mengalami stres sedang. Penjabaran dari dimensi stres kerja yaitu dimensi peran kerja individu (ORQ), dimensi beban kerja individu (PSQ), dan dimensi sumber daya yang dimiliki (PRQ) menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas guru mengalami stres sedang pada ketiga kategori tersebut. Adapun jenis strategi koping yang paling sering digunakan adalah problem focused coping (54,6%). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan agar perawat dapat bekerja sama dengan pihak sekolah dasar negeri untuk memfasilitasi kegiatan yang dapat meminimalkan kejadian stres kerja dengan penggunaan strategi koping yang tepat.   Kata kunci: Guru sekolah dasar negeri, stres kerja, kurikulum 2013, strategi koping   THE LEVEL OF STRESS AND COPING STRATEGY OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN IMPLEMENTATION OF CURRICULUM 2013   ABSTRACT Teachers quality is greatly influence education at the whole level of education including elementary school level. Teachers are one of the jobs with high levels of work stress. One of the causes of work stress is  educational curriculum. This study aims to determine the level of stress and coping strategy of elementary school teachers in implementation of curriculum 2013 in Bogor Central District, Bogor. The design in this research used descriptive quantitative with cross sectional approach. This study involved 222 elementary schools teachers in Bogor Central District selected by purposive sampling. The results of this study illustrate the majority of elementary schools teachers in Bogor Central District (81,5%) experience moderate stress. Each dimension of work stress, occupational role (ORQ), personal strain (PSQ) and personal resources (PRQ) show that the majority of teachers experience moderate stress. The type of coping strategy that is most often used by elementary schools teachers in Bogor Central Districtis is problem focused coping (54,6%). The results of this study recommend nurses to be able for collaboration with school to facilitate activities that could reduce stress and use appropriate coping strategies.   Keywords: Elementary School Teacher, work stress, curriculum 2013, coping strategy
