The qiroah text in al'arabiyah lin nasiin is very interesting to analyze because the book was compiled by asatidz native Arabic speakers for Indonesia. The ustadz deliberately compile textbooks as well as compile a guidebook for ustadz (the book lil mu'allim), the asatidz besides as a teacher as well as a person who jumped directly in the field. The author wants to know the extent of the form of qiroah text in the book "al arabiyah lin nasiin", whether each subject is really suitable for non-Arabic students, especially students from Indonesia. This research is a literature study, the focus of discussion is the text of Qiroah. The author gets the original arab tarkib and dhou 'which are beautiful because the original Arabic composer. This book is composed by presenting four lughawiyah maharah (istima ’, kalam, qira’ah, kitabah) and also presents Arabic tsaqofah and Islamic thaqofah. thaqafiyah competence about Islamic Arabic culture, and the next is ittishaliyah competence, namely the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in various contexts. In addition, researchers found a method that is suitable for the conditions of students in Indonesia. Wa akhiron the authors provide conclusions and suggestions as an addition to improve the teaching of Arabic, especially in Qiroah lessons on the maharah side of kalam.

ملخص البحث: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مقياس مهارات الكتابة الإبداعية المناسب للطلبة الناطقين بغير العربية في ماليزيا. وطورت الدراسة مقياس الكتابة الإبداعية الذي يحتوي على ثلاثة محاور (الجمالي، البنائي، الفكري) للكتابة الإبداعية الرئيسة موزعة على (23) مهارة فرعية. وقد تم التأكد من صدق وثبات فقرات المقياس بالرجوع إلى عدد من أعضاء التدريس من الجامعات الأردنية والماليزية، وكذلك وزارة التربية والتعليم بالأردن وهم المتخصصون والخبراء في اللغة العربية وآدابها، والمناهج وطرائق التدريس، والقياس والتقويم، للاستئناس بآرائهم حول هذه المهارات من حيث درجة أهميتها وقابليتها لدى الطلبة الناطقين بغير العربية. توصلت الدراسة إلى إصدار قائمة مهارات الكتابة الإبداعية الخاصة للمتعلمين الناطقين بغير العربية ومعظم هذه المهارات مقبولة لدى المحكمين؛ حيث أوصت لجنة تحكيم المقياس في استخدامها لإجراء دراسة ميدانية متعلقة بالكتابة العربية الإبداعية لغير الناطقين بها. الكلمات المفتاحية: الكتابة- الإبداع- المهارات- المفاهيم- الطلبة. Abstract: The study aims to construct the suitable scale for creative writing for non-native Arabic speakers in Malaysia. The study developed the creative writing scale consisting of three major constructs: aesthetic, structural and cognitive which were divided on 23 secondary skills. The scale items were validated by referring to a number of lecturers from Jordanian and Malaysian universities in addition to a number of specialists in the Jordanian Ministry of Education in the field of Arabic language and literature, teaching methods and assessment to seek their views on the importance of such skills and their applicability to the non-native Arabic students. The study came up with a list of creative writing skills especially for the non-native Arabic students. Most of these skills were viewed as acceptable by the experts and therefore were recommended to be used as a tool for field study related to Arabic creative writing for non-native Arabic students.   Keywords: Writing – Creative – Skills – Concepts – Students.   Abstrak: Kajian ini menyasarkan untuk membina skala yang bersesuaian untuk mengukur kemahiran penulisan kreatif untuk penutur bukan Arab di Malaysia. Pembinaan skala ini mengandungi tiga konstruk utama: nilai astetika, aspek struktur ayat dan pemikiran yang seterusnya terbahagi kepada 23 kemahiran sekunder. Item-item skala tersebut disahkan dengan merujuk kepada beberapa orang pensyarah daripada university-universiti di Malaysia dan Jordan di samping beberapa orang lagi pakar-pakar dalam bidang bahasa dan sastera, metod pengajaran dan penilaian di Kementerian Pengajian Jordan. Ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pandangan mereka tentang kepentingan kemahiran tersebut dan kebolehlaksanaannya kepada pelajar bukan penutur Arab. Hasil kajian ini adalah satu senarai tentang kamahiran penulisan kreatif yang boleh dikuasi pelajar bukan penutur Arab yang dapat diterima oleh pakar dan disokong untuk digunapakai sebagai alat untuk kajian lapangan berkaitan kemahiran penulisan kreatif para pelajar bukan penutur Arab.   Kata kunci: Penulisan – Kreatif – Kemahiran – Konsep – Pelajar.

Abstract The acquisition of a second language (L2) may be challenging in adulthood, as the phonological system of the native language (L1) can sometimes limit the perception of phonological contrasts in L2. The present study aimed to (a) examine the influence of an L1 (Hebrew) that lacks a phonemic contrast for vowel length on the ability to discriminate between short and long vowels in L2 (Arabic); and (b) assess the effect of a short training on the participants’ discrimination performance. A total of 60 participants, 20 native Arabic speakers and 40 native Hebrew speakers, were tested using the ABX procedure in two sessions that were 10 days apart. A single training session was provided for half of the Hebrew speakers (n = 20) approximately 2–3 days after the first (pretraining) testing session. The results indicated that the trained Hebrew participants’ discrimination levels (measured by accuracy and reaction times) were above chance level but were nevertheless lower in comparison to the Arabic speakers. However, a short training session was sufficient to yield a nativelike performance that generalized to untrained nonwords. These findings support the theoretical models that predict a reserved ability to acquire new phonetic/phonological cues in L2 and have important practical implications for the process of learning a new phonological system in adulthood.

ABSTRACTThe current study investigated native English and native Arabic speakers’ phonological short-term memory for sequences of consonants and vowels. Phonological short-term memory was assessed in immediate serial recall tasks conducted in Arabic and English for both groups. Participants (n= 39) heard series of six consonant–vowel syllables and wrote down what they recalled. Native speakers of English recalled the vowel series better than consonant series in English and in Arabic, which was not true of native Arabic speakers. An analysis of variance showed that there was an interaction between first language and phoneme type. The results are discussed in light of current research on consonant and vowel processing.

AbstrakThis research reveals about Istima 'learning with Total Pisikal Response (TPR) method, studied theoretically and practically especially in istima' learning. This study uses literature study, to reveal the theoretical and practice in learning istima 'by TPR method. Istima Learning 'is the main scholar of Arabic language learning, where Arabic speaking for non Arabic speakers should begin with istima'. The learning of istima 'can be done by using various methods of learning, such as Total Psychical Response method, this method is very suitable for learning mahima istima' because the teacher can know the students 'vocabulary mastery and comprehension istima' and the training to students to do things that are governed by Teachers correctly.  ملخص البحث: هذه الدراسة تبحث في استخدام استراتيجيات تعلم اللغة لدى 106 طلاب غير ناطقين باللغة العربية ومتخصصين في اللغة العربية وآدابها بالجامعة الإسلامية العالمية بماليزيا، حيث تمّ توزيع استبانة تحتوي على قائمة استراتيجيات تعلم اللغة الثانية من نموذج أكسفورد على أعضاء العينة. وتمّ تحليل استبانات العينة وإجاباتهم عن طريق نظام الإحصاء للعلوم الاجتماعية.. تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على اهتمامات الطلاب بالمهارات اللغويّة. واستنتجت الدراسة أن الاستراتيجيات المباشرة أخذت حظها الوافر في اختيار العينة لاستراتيجيات التعلم.الكلمات المفتاحية: الاستراتيجية- الكفاية- العينة- الأنواع- التحليل.Abstract:The paper reports on the study that was carried out among 106 respondents who are students of Arabic as second language and majoring in Arabic and Literature at the International Islamic University Malaysia. They responded to questionnaire that consisted of a list of strategies in second language learning taken from the Oxford model. The data was analyzed using the SPSS. In general, the study aims at identifying the interests of the students in the language skills. In conclusion, it was noted that the direct strategies were the most preferred strategies among the students in learning Arabic as second language.Keywords: Strategies– Competence– Sample– Types– Analysis.Abstrak:Kajian ini berhasrat mencari maklumat tentang penggunaan strategi pembelajaran bahasa di kalanga 106 orang pelajar bukan penutur berbahasa Arab yang juga mengkhusus dalam bidang Bahasa Arab & Kesusasteraan di Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia. Soal kajiselidik yang telah diedarkan di kalangan sampel kajian mengandungi item-item daripada senarai soal kajiselidik Oxford. Analisa terhadap soal kajiselidik diproses dengan dengan menggunakan SPSS. Kajian ini juga turut menyelidik perhatian pelajar terhadap kemahiran bahasa. Hasil dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa sampel kajian banyak menggunakan strategi pembelajaran secara langsung.Kata kunci: Strategi– Kecekapan– Sampel Kajian– Jenis Strategi- Analisa.

In Arabic, every sentence containing certain expression has a unique pattern that is different from one another. And what is more unique is the reasoning aspect, where the reasoning aspect seems complicated, so it tends to be considered insignificant dan ignored. Amongst the expressions in Arabic which are full of unique patterns and their reasoning side are calling expressions (Uslub al-Nida’). The purpose of this paper is to reveal the uniqueness of the patterns contained in the calling expressions in Arabic along with the reasoning aspect which sometimes makes the Native Arabic Speakers moreover Non-Arabic Speakers trapped in some errors and confusion in saying them.

In this paper, a speech enhancement method using 2D Gabor filter is proposed. The proposed filter is used to enhance Arabic phoneme speech signals that have been recorded under control environment namely indoor room recording. All the phoneme signals are spoken by Malay speakers and considered as non-native Arabic speakers. Firstly, corrupted speech signals by noise must be enhanced before further processing. The effectiveness of the suggested approach is evaluated in compare with Wiener filter. It is proven that the proposed 2D Gabor filters performed appropriately for speech enhancement purpose at different wavelengths.
