This experiment was conducted in the lathhouse of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening, College of Agriculture, University of Baghdad to study the effect of two nutrition compounds called Cytojeep and Florin on the vegetative and flowering characters of Pansy (Viola tricolor) during the fall season of 2016. Plants were planted in 20 cm/diameter pots and sprayed two times with different concentrations of Cytojeep 0, 0.5, and 1 ml.L-1 and Florin 0, 0.15, and 0.30 ml.L-1 started after one month of planting with 21 days intervals. The results were as follows: Spraying with Cytojeep resulted in improving all vegetative and flowering traits under investigation. The foliar application of Cytojeep at 1 ml.L-1significantly increased plant height 13.84 cm, number of branches per plant 7.40, fresh weight 4.98 g, dry weight 0.88, flowering time 47 days, flower diameter 74.99 mm, number of flowers 5.97. Moreover, spraying with Florin at 0.30 ml.L-1 significantly increased all vegetative and flowering characteristics in terms of plant height 14.01 cm, number of branches per plant 7.42, fresh weight 5.03 g, dry weight 0.91 g flowering time 47 days, flower diameter 75.70 cm, number of flowers 5.87. Finally, the interaction between the two nutrition compounds showed to have an effect on all vegetative and flowering traits under investigation where the highest concentration of Cytojeep and Florin gave the most significant results in plant height 15.67 cm, number of branches per plant 7.89, fresh weight 5.76 g, dry weight 1.18 g, flowering time after 43 days, flower diameter 81.66 mm, number of flowers 6.85.

       An experiment for the  agricultural season 2017  was carried out in pots in the Autumn season to study the effect of application three levels of Sea Top  foliar  fertilizer (0, 50,and 100 gm.L-1) and Three levels of zinc (zinc sulfate) was ( 0, 30, and60 mg. L-1) with three times spraying  intervals every20 days  for  some of  the growth and yield parameters  of the Dahlia cv. Albion. The spray concentration of zinc sulfate at level of 60 mg / L-1 and Seaweed at a level of 100 mg / L -1 had significant differences in plant height,  number of branches ,number of flowers per plant, flower diameter, fresh weight of flower,fresh weight of the tuber , number of tubers per plant, fresh weight  of the stalk,and dry weight of the vegetative parts ,compared with the control treatment. The increase was 115.16, 6.33, 12.0, 15.53, 25.66, 371.36, 6.66, 46.56, and 60.16  for the above qualities respectively. We conclude, that the application of Seaweed Extract and Zinc improved the yield contributing factors that resulted in a significant increase in Productivity of Dahlia hybridayield.

A one-time application of fish emulsion 2 days before the application of plant growth regulators (PGR) showed an overriding effect on the growth of pansies. Blue/blotch shades of `Medallion' pansies were placed on a constant feed program of 100 ppm Peat Lite 20N–10P–20K, with half of the pansies receiving an additional one-time supplement of fish emulsion. PGRs and rates included B-Nine, 0.5% (used as the control); uniconazole, 2 and 4 ppm; and paclobutrazol, 16 and 25 ppm. Parameters taken included plant height, top fresh weight, top dry weight, days to anthesis, and visual appearance. Significant differences were noted in the plants receiving the supplement for plant dry weight, plant height, and visual appearance. Plants receiving fish emulsion grew taller and denser than those on constant feed alone despite the effects of the PGRs.

Abstract The experiment was carried out in lath house, College of Agriculture/University of Kirkuk for the agricultural on 15-3-2021. The concentrations of Abscisic acid (ABA) were (0, 10, 20, 40) mg.l-1, Gibberellin (GA3) were (0, 50, 100, 200) mg.l-1. Results showed that Spraying with a concentration of 40 mg.L-1 of ABA and a concentration of 100 mg.L-1 of GA3 gave a significant increase in most of the vegetative and flowering characteristics, as it was superior in plant height, number of plant branches, leaf area, chlorophyll percentage, wet and dry weight. As for the characteristics of flower growth, it was significantly superior in number of flowers, flower diameter, vase life, number of flowering branches, wet and dry weight of flowers.

Abstract The study was conducted in the lath house of the Department of the Horticulture and Landscape - College of Agriculture during the growing season of 2020-2021 inGazania plants, in order to study the effect of ground addition of marine algae extract (Tecamin Algae) at concentrations (0, 2 and 4 ml L-1), symbolized by (A0, A1 and A2) respectively, and spraying with the nanostimulator (Proteck CalBor) manufactured according to nanotechnology in concentrations (0, 0.5 and 1 ml L-1) and it has a symbol (B0, B1 and B2). The results showed that the treatments of adding the extract (Tecamin Algae), especially at concentration A2 (4 ml L-1) contributed to achieving the best results for all vegetative and flowering growth traits (plant height, number of leaves, vegetative dry weight, number of offsprings, leaf content of chlorophyll, total carbohydrates content of leaves, number of flowers, flower fresh weight, flower diameter, flower peduncle length), they were (13.65 cm, 34.64 leaf plant-1, 6.38 g, 7.72 offspring plant-1, 10.94 mg g-1, 7.44%, 5.56 flower plant-1, 2.26 g, 6.08 cm and 9.75 cm), respectively. A Spraying with nano stimulator (Proteck CalBor) achieved significant effect, especially B2 (1 ml L-1) concentration, that gave the highest values for the traits (plant height, vegetative dry weight, number of off springs, leaf content of chlorophyll, total carbohydrates content of leaves, number of flowers, flower fresh weight and flower diameter), they were (13.38 cm, 6.47 g, 7.48 offspring plant-1, 10.61 mg g-1, 7.49%, 5.40 flower plant-1, 2.41 g and 6.40 cm), respectively.

Potential development of medicinal plants in Karanganyar is very large, because this area is famous as a center of medicinal plants such as ginger, turmeric, kencur, and temulawak. In the development of medicinal plants, the approach of organic cultivation is one of the alternatives that can be done to achieve the business. Therefore the application of technology to society about organic farming on Biopharmaca Cluster of Karanganyar was conducted with the aim to apply organic cultivation techniques that have resulted from previous studies, so it can be applied by the community to increase income and welfare. This application of technology to society activity is held in Sambirejo, Jumantono, Karanganyar. The research was conducted from March to October 2016. The results showed that the application of chicken manure affects the number of leaves, number of tillers, and the fresh weight of turmeric rhizome. The addition of manure (chicken, goat, cow) can increase all variables of planting growth which include plant height, number of leaf, number of tillers, fresh weight of plant, dry weight of plant, and fresh weight of rhizomes. Giving three types of manure (chicken, goat, cow) with mycorrhizal dose treatment there is no intraction to some growth observation variables. Mycorrhizal treatment with a dose of 10 g/plant can increase the number of tillers in turmeric. Overall the application of mycorrhizal at various doses (5, 10, and 15 g/plant) can increase plant height, leaf number, number of tillers, and fresh weight of turmeric rhizome.

The paitan plant contains allelopathic compounds for other plants so that the utilize of paitan plant as a source of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) has not been widely applied. This research aimed to study the interaction between LOF dosage and appropriate application method of LOF to increase the growth of kailan plants. The research conducted at experimental garden of UIN Bandung from June-August 2016. The experimental design was a completely randomized design with two factors and replicated four times. The first factor was application methods (A), i.e. a1=direct application to the soil, and a2= spraying. The second factor was LOF dosage (T), i.e. t0: 0 ml plant-1, t1: 20 ml plant-1, t2: 40 ml plant-1, t3: 60 ml plant-1, t4: 80 ml plant-1. The growth parameters observed i.e. plant height (14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 Day after Transplanting (DAT)), leaf area 42 DAT, plant dry weight 42 DAT, and plant fresh weight 42 DAT. The data then analyzed with analysis of variance at a significant level of 5%. If the analysis of variance was significant, the Duncan multiple range test was used at α=5%. The research results showed there was no interaction between method of application with a various dosage of paitan LOF to all of the growth parameters. The application paitan LOF showed similar growth in terms of plant height, leaf area, plant dry, and plant fresh weight. The application method of paitan LOF direct to the soil or spraying to leaves can not increase kailan plant growth.

This study was aimed at assessing the growth and production of celery plants grown with various compositions of N,P and K fertilizer and compost. The study was done at the Trial Farm of Faculty of Agriculture, Djuanda University, Bogor fiom September to November 2015. A completely randomized design with two factors was used. The factors consisted of compost rate and N,P and K fertilizer rate. Compost was given in four levels, namely no compost (0% R), 26.3% gcompost/plant (50% R), 52.5 g compost/plant (100% R), and 78.7 g compost/plant (150% R). N, P and K fertilizer was given in five levels, namely no fertilizer (0% R), 4 g Urea, 0.3 g SP-36, 0.2 g KCl (25% R), 0.9 g Urea, 0.6 g SP-36, 0.4 g KCI (50% R), 1.3 g Urea, 0.8 g SP-36, 0.6 g KCl (75% R), and 1.7 g Urea, 1.1 g SP-36, 0.8 g KCl (100% R). All fertilizers were administered gradually at the time of planting and 2 weeks after planting. Three replicates were allocated into each treatment making up 60 experimental units. Results showed that celery plants given synthetic fertilizer at 100% R had higher plant height, number of leaves, number of seedlings, harvest fresh weight (g), saleable fresh weight (g), root biomass (g), and root dry weight (g) than those treated with no fertilizer (0% R). Plants treated with 150% compost had higher plant height, number of leaves, harvest fresh weight (g), saleable fresh weight (g), root length (cm), and root dry weight (g) than those treated with no fertilizer (0% R). Thus the best celery growth and production in this study was obtained on plant 150% R compost   and 100% R synthetic fertilizer nourished.Key words: celery, compost, N, P, K fertilizer, harvest flesh weight

A pot experiment was carried out to evaluate the influence of various organic manures on the growth performance and biomass production of Bryophyllum pinnatum. Nine kinds of organic manures, such as ACI, BGF-1, bone meal, Green life, Kazi, Majim, mustard cake, Payel and Shebok composts were applied individually at the rate of 15 ton/ha. Highest height (45.25 cm), leaf number (102.67 no./plant), leaf area (82.43 cm2/plant), number of branches (27.00 no./plant), girth (6.75 cm/plant), total fresh weight (334.02 g/plant) and total dry weight (86.09 g/plant) were recorded in mustard cake compost treatment at harvest. This study shows that enhancement of soil fertility along with the yield of chickpea due to nodulation by the Rhizobium is possible to some extent. Data on plant height (cm) at maturity, primary branches/plant, days to flower, pods/plant, pod dry weight/plant (g), seeds/pod, seed dry weight/pod (g), 50 seeds weight (g), nodules/plant, fresh weight of nodules/plant and dry weight of nodules/plant were considered to assess the effect of nodulation in chickpea. Soils treated with Rhizobium always showed higher values than control regarding total nitrogen and organic matter (%). Campus soil showed the highest value for organic matter (%) and N content but Cholonbil soil exhibited the highest value for number of seeds per pod. A severe iron deficiency in peas grown on grey to black clay loam soil overlying limestone (rendzina) was successfully ameliorated by foliar application of ferrous sulphate. Two applications, three weeks apart, increased the fresh weight of peas harvested by more than 100 per cent (P < 0.001). The two sprays also increased the numbers of pods, dry weight of the pods, fresh weight per pea and maturity of the peas (all P < 0.001), and herbage yield (P < 0.01). One application of iron sulphate was insufficient to arrest completely the symptoms of iron deficiency. The peas did not show vegetative or marsh spot symptoms of manganese deficiency, and there were no significant changes in measurements to manganese sprays.
