Total Quality Management pada Pembuatan Film Radiography

Dalam era global persaingan menjadi semakin tajam. Hanya perusahaan yang dapat menghasilkan kualitas barang atau jasa yang sesuai dengan tuntutan pelanggan yang dapat memenangkan persaingan. Mengacu pada data PT. Astar Testing & Inspection Batam dalam satu bulan minimal terdapat  20%  cacat pada photo radiography sampai ditolak pelanggan. Dari cacat tersebut terdapat  masalah yang sangat merugikan perusahaan juga orang lain seperti  tertundanya pembayaran invoice, waktu yang terbuang sia-sia, dan hilangnya kepercayaan client terhadap kinerja operator RT perusahaan tersebut. Untuk menganalisa suatu kegagalan/cacat dalam film radiography, dilakukan pengolahan data dengan menggunakan alat bantu Statistical Processing Control (SPC) dimulai dengan pengumpulan data check sheet, histogram, diagram pareto, menghitung uji keseragaman dan kecukupan data, batas kontrol, diagram alir, dan diagram sebab akibat. Piranti TQM (Total Quality Manajement) diterapkan dalam langkah-langkah siklus PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) untuk menyelesaikan persoalan kerja yang dihadapi dan mengadakan perbaikan secara terus-menerus. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari cacat radiography antara lain diperlukannya perbaikan kualitas manusia, bahan baku, mesin, metode kerja,dan lingkungan. Untuk film 4’’x10’’ terdapat 64% cacat karena kegagalan pencucian dan penegringan dan film 4’’x15’’ terdapat 49% cacat karena kegagalan pencucian dan pengeringan. Usulan perbaikan yang disarankan adalah pelatihan, pengawasan,  perbaikan sarana ruang proses pencucian, pembelian bahan baku sesuai standar kualitas, dan membuat instruksi kerja secara tertulis dan rinci kepada setiap team sebelum memulai pekerjaan.

This study aimed to know the degree of applying standards of total quality management in the Jordanian universities in the light of the international standards. The study population included all the heads of academic departments in the Jordanian universities for the academic year (2015/ 2016). The study sample has been chosen from the study population b using the stratified random method. To achieve the objectives study, the researcher developed the study tool that comprised the following domains: (vision, mission, objectives, operations management, continuous improvement, beneficiaries' satisfaction, evaluation), both the validity and reliability of the tool were verified. The researcher distributed the tool over the sample of the study and carried out the relative statistical processing. The results showed that the degree of applying the standards of total quality management in the Jordanian universities is medium, also it showed that there are no statistically significant differences at the (0.05= α) level attributed to (the gender, the specialization, and the years of experience). While as there are differences attributed to region variable, in favor the southern region. According to the results, the researcher recommended to hold training courses and field workshops in order to activate the standards of total quality management.

This study aims to determine the effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) on employee productive behavior and company performance at PT. Tomorrow’s Antiques Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative method with a sample of 104 employees. Data was collected by observation, interviews, documentation, literature, and questionnaires. The analysis technique used descriptive analysis, path analysis (analysis path), and sobell test. The results of the total quality management (TQM) research have a positive and significant effect on employee productive behaviour at PT. Tomorrow's Antiques with coefficient of 0.986 and a sig value of 0.00 <0.05; employee productive behavior has a positive and significant effect on company performance at PT. Tomorrow's Antiques with coefficient of 0.606 and a sig value of 0.00 <0.05; total quality management (TQM) has a positive and significant effect on company performance at PT. Tomorrow's Antiques with coefficient of 0.396 and a sig value of 0.00 <0.05, and employee productive behaviour can mediate the effect of total quality management (TQM) on company performance at PT. Tomorrow's Antiques with Z value (17,311) > Z table (1,96).
