Blockchain enabled Internet of Things has exhibited high potential in establishing consensus and trust mechanism. To design this type of system, it is necessary to have a better knowledge about blockchain and how it can be used with internet of things. Moreover, it will be easier to gauge the requirements of the system based on the performance constraints that are imposed on the other parts. In the proposed work, we have used spatial domain Poisson distribution to determine the arrival rate at the transaction node and the full function node. The signal to interference and noise is calculated to determine throughput as well as transmission success rate. Based on performance analysis, we have developed an algorithm that is can be used to determine the apt FN deployment, under the condition of maximum transaction throughput. Results indicate the accuracy of the proposed algorithm with theoretical values.

Distributed ledgers (DLs) provide many advantages over centralized solutions in Internet of Things projects, including but not limited to improved security, transparency, and fault tolerance. To leverage DLs at scale, their well-known limitation (i.e., performance) should be adequately analyzed and addressed. Directed acyclic graph-based DLs have been proposed to tackle the performance and scalability issues by design. The first among them, IOTA, has shown promising signs in addressing the preceding issues. IOTA is an open source DL designed for the Internet of Things. It uses a directed acyclic graph to store transactions on its ledger, to achieve a potentially higher scalability over blockchain-based DLs. However, due to the uncertainty and centralization of the deployed consensus, the current IOTA implementation exposes some performance issues, making it less performant than the initial design. In this article, we first extend an existing simulator to support realistic IOTA simulations and investigate the impact of different design parameters on IOTA’s performance. Then, we propose a layered model to help the users of IOTA determine the optimal waiting time to resend the previously submitted but not yet confirmed transaction. Our findings reveal the impact of the transaction arrival rate, tip selection algorithms, weighted tip selection algorithm randomness, and network delay on the throughput. Using the proposed layered model, we shed some light on the distribution of the confirmed transactions. The distribution is leveraged to calculate the optimal time for resending an unconfirmed transaction to the DL. The performance analysis results can be used by both system designers and users to support their decision making.

In recent years, the number of objects connected to the internet have significantly increased. Increasing the number of connected devices to the internet is transforming today’s Internet of Things (IoT) into massive IoT of the future. It is predicted that, in a few years, a high communication and computation capacity will be required to meet the demands of massive IoT devices and applications requiring data sharing and processing. 5G and beyond mobile networks are expected to fulfill a part of these requirements by providing a data rate of up to terabits per second. It will be a key enabler to support massive IoT and emerging mission critical applications with strict delay constraints. On the other hand, the next generation of software-defined networking (SDN) with emerging cloudrelated technologies (e.g., fog and edge computing) can play an important role in supporting and implementing the above-mentioned applications. This paper sets out the potential opportunities and important challenges that must be addressed in considering options for using SDN in hybrid cloud-fog systems to support 5G and beyond-enabled applications.

The apparatus used to show that aluminium was opaque to the ions from a flame consisted (see fig. 1) of a tube A, which wasfunnel-shaped at one end, the other end of which led to an enclosure B, one side of which (a b) was made of aluminium foil connected to earth, and on the other side there was an insulated metallic plate (c d), which could either be connected to earth or to a high potential battery. On the other side of the aluminium foil there was an electroscope in a closed case C. The electroscope was of the type used by C. T. R. Wilson in his experiments on the natural ionisation of air in closed vessels.

Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food that has many advantages as food and the process of making it is quite simple. However, the community knowledge about tempeh and the skills to produce healthy tempeh are still low. This community service aimed to increase the knowledge about tempeh and to improve the skills of its manufacturers in making healthy and good quality tempeh. The activities were carried out for mothers living in Villa Dago Tol complex, Ciputat, South Tangerang 15414, by using the methods of counseling, demonstration, and mentoring. Monitoring was conducted to measure the success rate of participants in producing healthy tempeh. The level of community knowledge about tempeh was evaluated through survey method. The results of counseling, demonstration, and mentoring succeeded in improving the participant skills as seen from the participants' success in following the healthy tempeh-making procedure. The results were also reinforced by the results of monitoring where all participants managed to create healthy tempeh. Survey results showed participants’ increasing knowledge of healthy tempeh and motivation in producing healthy tempeh. Assessment of participants showed good results, especially in improving knowledge (73% stated strongly agree and the rest agree). The ability of the facilitators in delivering the material was also considered good by the participants (92% stated strongly agree and the rest agree). As a follow-up, the participants suggested that the training be extended to the other communities and the training also include a variety of topics such as the manufacturing of tofu, healthy food processing, sewing, and many others.

With the advent of Internet of things(IoT),HA (HA) recognition has contributed the more application in health care in terms of diagnosis and Clinical process. These devices must be aware of human movements to provide better aid in the clinical applications as well as user’s daily activity. Also , In addition to machine and deep learning algorithms, HA recognition systems has significantly improved in terms of high accurate recognition. However, the most of the existing models designed needs improvisation in terms of accuracy and computational overhead. In this research paper, we proposed a BAT optimized Long Short term Memory (BAT-LSTM) for an effective recognition of human activities using real time IoT systems. The data are collected by implanting the Internet of things) devices invasively. Then, proposed BAT-LSTM is deployed to extract the temporal features which are then used for classification to HA. Nearly 10,0000 dataset were collected and used for evaluating the proposed model. For the validation of proposed framework, accuracy, precision, recall, specificity and F1-score parameters are chosen and comparison is done with the other state-of-art deep learning models. The finding shows the proposed model outperforms the other learning models and finds its suitability for the HA recognition.

Due to huge size of the data and quick transmission of data between the nodes present in the optical network, a condition of network traffic is created among the nodes of the network. This issue of traffic can be overcome by employing numerous traffic grooming techniques. In this research paper, the best suitable shortest path is determined by the multi objective modified PSO algorithm and an innovative visibility graph based Iterative Hungarian Traffic grooming algorithm is implemented to reduce the blocking ratio through improving the allocation of bandwidth between the users. Then finally the performance analysis is carried out by means of performance measures such as traffic throughput, transceivers count, average propagation delay, blocking ratio, and success ratio. It can be inferred that the proposed work obtains enhanced outcomes when compared to the other existing techniques.

Population growth and urbanization have led to an increase in the rate of waste production, the lack of timely and proper management of which will have adverse effects on human life and the environment. Since most of the waste management costs are spent on waste collection and transportation, it is necessary to find solutions to control the huge costs of this sector. On the other hand, today, intelligent technologies are used globally as solutions to meet challenges in various fields such as agriculture to improve agro-industrial production, transportation, and waste management, which creates a concept called smart cities. One of the categories that has changed the concept of cities and made them have easier and smarter answers to various events and needs is the "Internet of Things", in which many cases and infrastructures with new hardware technologies and Software are integrated. Waste collection is no exception to this rule and efforts have been made to make it smarter. In this research, some of the latest innovations presented globally in order to make trash smarter have been examined.
