Employee engagement is the state of an employee’s dedication and commitment in their job on accomplishment of organizational objectives. The engagement of employees is identified, to display the relationship with their degree of commitment towards the organization. It is mainly observed that the degree of commitment and engagement of the employees will determine the success of the organization. With this background this study mainly focuses on discovering the levels of Organisational Commitment of the employees with special reference to BSNL, before and after the VRS Scenario in Hyderabad, Telecom Dist. The research further analyzes in exploring the relationship between the employee engagement and organization's commitment. Research on the role of the APIP review of the Ministry/agency Work Plan and Budget document to determine the impact on the efficiency of ministry/agency spending (case study at the Ministry of Religion). The method used in this study uses simple linear regression with dummy. The use of linear regression is used to examine the relationship between independent variables (certain types of expenditure) and dependent variables (total expenditure). Whereas, dummy is used to find out before and after the APIP review is done. Throughout the author's search, this research has never been done. Based on the results of linear regression obtained, the APIP review significantly had a positive effect on official travel expenditure and honorarium but did not significantly affect building spending and equipment. Abstrak   Penelitian atas peran reviu APIP atas dokumen Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Kementerian Negara/Lembaga untuk mengetahui dampaknya terhadap efisiensi belanja kementerian/lembaga (studi kasus pada Kementerian Agama). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dengan dummy. Penggunaan regresi liner digunakan untuk meneliti hubungan antara variable independen (jenis belanja tertentu) dan variable dependen (total belanja). Sedangkan, dummy digunakan untuk mengetahui sebelum dan setelah reviu APIP dilakukan. Sepanjang penelusuran penulis, penelitian ini belum pernah dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil regresi linier diperoleh, reviu APIP signifikan berpengaruh positif terhadap  belanja perjalanan dinas dan honorarium tetapi tidak signifikan berbengaruh terhadap belanja gedung dan alat.

This study aims to determine the influence of transfromational leadership, perceivedorganizational support, and employee engagement of organizational commitment. Thesurvey was conducted at Inspectorate Bekasi. There were 57 respondents selected throughpurposive sampling method. Respondents are permanent employees in the organizationand work for a minimum of five years. Based on the results of research by using multipleregression, and causal step mediation method, it can be conclude : (1) transformationalleadership has a positive affects to employee engagement, (2) perceived organizationalsupport has no positive affects to employee engagement, (3) transformational leadershiphas a positive affects to organizational commitment, (4) perceived organizationalcommitment has a positive affects to organizational commitment, (5) employee engagementhas a positive affects to organizational commitment, (6) employee engagement mediatesthe relationship between transformational leadership towards organizational commitment,and (7) employee engagement doesn’t mediates the relationship between perceivedorganizational support towards organizational commitment. The implication of this researchis if an organization has employees who instill a sense of employee engagement whoalways proud, enthusiasm of their work, and time feels fast at work will greatly affectorganizational commitment. Then, if having a transformational leader that directs themission to the organization, has a purpose, and expressed a sense of satisfaction inemployees will be able to increase the sense of employee engagement and organizationalcommitment. In addition, organizations that concerning of employees welfare, pride inemployees achievement, and appreciate the contribution of employees can also increaseorganizational commitment in Inspectorate Bekasi

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to focus on physicians in the four public hospitals located in the October province (Egypt) in an attempt to explore the effect of responsible leadership on physicians’ affective, continuance and normative commitment with and without mediating the role of organizational inclusion. Design/methodology/approach A total of 360 physicians were contacted and all of them received a set of questionnaires. After two follow-ups, a total of 240 responses were collected with a response rate of 66.67 percent. The authors used the χ2 test to determine the association between responsible leadership and organizational inclusion. Multiple regressions were employed to show how much variation in affective, continuance and normative commitment can be explained by responsible leadership and organizational inclusion. Findings The findings highlight a positive association between responsible leadership and organizational inclusion. Moreover, another positive association is also explored between organizational inclusion and affective, continuance and normative commitment. Furthermore, the statistical analysis proved that having an atmosphere of respect, equality and sameness in the workplace fosters the effect of responsible leaders on physicians’ affective, normative and continuance commitment. Originality/value This paper contributes by filling a gap in HR management, cultural diversity and organization literature, in which empirical studies on the relationship between responsible leadership, organizational inclusion and organizational commitment have been limited until now.

AbstractIn the current study, using a sample of 467 employees from Ireland, we examined the effects of distributive justice perceptions, based on equity versus equality principles, on two forms of employee commitment: affective and normative. Furthermore, we also tested whether employees’ gender moderated the relationships between these two distributive justice perceptions and the two forms of commitment. Results indicated that equity perceptions positively influenced both forms of commitment and equality perceptions positively influenced only normative commitment. Additionally, results revealed that women reported greater affective and normative commitments than men when equity perceptions were higher than when they were lower. Gender did not moderate the relationship between equality perceptions and normative commitment. Women, however, reported lower affective commitment than men when equality perceptions were lower; there were no differences between men and women on affective commitment when equality perceptions were higher. Implications are discussed.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the mediating role of organizational commitment (OC) on the relationship between human resource management (HRM) practices and employee engagement among banking employees in the context of an emerging economy namely Bangladesh. Design/methodology/approach The survey data include 383 employees from 30 private commercial banks in Bangladesh. For analyzing the data, structural equation modeling is employed with the bootstrapping method. Findings This study finds that HRM practices such as career advancement, employee participation, job security, performance feedback, rewards and recognition, training and development are the significant predictors of employee engagement. Results also identify OC as a partial mediator on HRM practices and employee engagement relationship which suggest that direct relationship of predictors and criterion variables are stronger than indirect association. More interestingly, findings indicate that the mechanism of black-box stage is not always work on the relationship between HRM practices and employee performance. Originality/value Exploring the role of OC on the relationship between HRM practices and employees’ behavioral outcome, i.e. employee engagement, is appeared as an initial effort in the academic literature. Furthermore, empirical research that examines the association of different organizational factors with employee engagement through OC is rarely been investigated. Thus, the findings of this study act as a strategic tool for the bank managers to design their organizational policies in such a way that fosters their employee’ level of engagement.

Several studies have conceptualized and tested the relationship between employee engagement and affective organizational commitment. Yet, the mediating mechanism that explains the association between these two constructs was rarely investigated. This article attempts to test the indirect effect of employee voice on employee engagement—affective organizational commitment linkage by drawing responses from 301 executives working in Indian service sector. The finding of the study reported employee voice mediating the association of employee engagement and affective organizational commitment. In conclusion, the implications, limitations of the study and scope for future research are discussed.
