According to Ayurveda, Vicharchika is a major problem in skin diseases.  All Kusthas are having Tridoshaja origin. The disease Vicharchika to a greater extent resembles eczema/dermatitis.  Despite of great advance in dermatology and the advent of powerful antibiotics, antifungal as well as steroids, Eczema continues to defy the best effect of dermatologists. Hence it is the need of the hour to find out safe and effective medicine for Vicharchika and here comes the role of Ayurveda. The involvement of Vata results in dry, blackish lesion of eczema, itching in those affected areas is due to Kapha and Pitta is responsible for Srava. In classical texts, Ayurveda Acharyas emphasizes shodhana and shamana therapy as the line of treatment at various contexts. So, the study aimed to evaluate efficacy of Mulaka beejadi lepa and Pruthu nimba panchaka churna in vicharchika, 30 children aged 3-16years who were fulfilling the inclusion criteria and diagnostic criteria were selected from Kaumarabhritya OPD and IPD of S.V.Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Tirupati.  Patients were given Mulaka beejadi lepa as external application  and vati prepared with Pruthu nimba panchaka churna 250mg BID  in 3-10years age group and 500mg BID in 11-16yrs age group children for 30days and called for follow up after 15days to note any recurrence. The cases were recorded as per the case Pro forma and observations were recorded. Symptoms were scored and statistically analysed for any change before and after treatment. Mulaka Beejadi lepa as external application and Pruthu Nimba panchaka churna internally are very effective in the management of vicharchika.

Psoriasis is chronic disorder which is commonly encountered in day to day’s clinical practices.  It is a relapsing & remitting disease of skin causing social isolation, cosmetic & psychological embarrassment as well as difficulties in leading social life. Even though it can be considered as an autoimmune disorder affecting skin, it cannot always be treated as somatic lesion, it is infact multifactorial in origin & conditioned by various constitutional & environmental factors. Due to altered life style, lack of physical exercise, unhygienic, mental stress & over eating skin diseases are commonly observed. Although Eka-kushta is a rakta pradoshaja, vata-kaha pradhana tridoshaja kshudra kushta, it bears a great resemblance with psoriasis. The current treatment modalities have their own limitations & the drugs have considerable side effects when used for a longer period. Therefore, there is a need for more comprehensive, economical & safe medications and methods of management of psoriasis. Hence a clinical study was conducted on 20 patients assigned to evaluate the Efficacy of Kutaja Siddha Haritaki Churna and Vyadhignadi taila after virechana karma in the Management of Ekakushta vis-a-vis Chronic Plaque Psoriasis. At the end of  30 days of treatment involving shodhana (virechana) followed by shamanoushadhis  and external medication resulted in significant improvement in the overall effect of therapy in reducing itching scaling, erythema and thickness .So it can be inferred that ayurvedic management of chronic plaque psoriasis with above mentioned medicines can be effectively used.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive tract (1%). These tumors express the CD 117 in 95% of cases. The stomach is the preferential localization (70%). Diagnosis is difficult and sometimes late. Progress of imaging has greatly improved the management and the prognosis. Computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard for diagnosis, staging, and treatment follow-up. The increasing recognition of GIST’s histopathology and the prolonged survival revealed some suggestive imaging aspects. Key words: gastro-intestinal stromal tumors; computed tomography; diagnosis

This clinical report describes a combined lateral-crestal approach to elevate the sinus floor when placing implants on a wide maxillary posterior ridge. The buccally enlarged osteotomy broadens vision of practitioners and facilitates access of instruments in the sinus. Compared to the traditional lateral approach of sinus lift, the proposed technique may offer a more conservative treatment modality. And a clinical study with sufficient subjects and long term follow up is needed to validate the potential and limitations of the proposed technique.
