Managing sustainability practices holistically within firms is challenging and requires a sound and effective management framework that integrates all associated practices and performance dimensions to act for excellence. Corporate management is keen to adopt roadmap or a framework that can be useful in the identification, management and measurement of the drivers and can lead to desired outcomes relating to sustainable performance. This paper develops and presents a six-steps implementation framework for corporate sustainability performance and related practices keeping in account multifaceted managerial dimensions. These six steps include; identifying stakeholder’s requirements, establishing enterprise vision and sustainability goals, adopting strategies, systems and standardization, aligning technologies, core capabilities and culture, excelling sustainability performance, and progressing sustainable improvement with review and feedback. It also projects the perspective, theme and action items with regard to its effective.

Deriving from previous literatures, the theories of Resource-based View and Dynamic Capability was used in this study to propose a model that examines the predictors of the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Accordingly, it will examine the influence of corporate management strategy on the performance of SMEs. It will analyze the extent to which innovative dynamic capabilities would enhance the relationship between corporate management strategy and performance of SMEs. It will also examine the extent innovation leadership serves as the moderator factor on the link between corporate management strategy and performance of SMEs. Finally, this paper intends to recommend a model of performance management system for the performance of tourism SMEs in Saudi Arabia. The study will employ a quantitative approach among selected tourism SMEs in Saudi Arabia. SPSS and AMOS (SEM) will be used to analyse the data obtained. Findings from this study will serve as a guideline for policy and decision makers in both private and public organizations.

The solution of the problem of the deficit of voltage level for the complete unlocking of MOSFETs used as keys in the shunt circuits of the cells of the active balancing of ionistor storage devices is given. In particular, a revision of the widespread two-pole circuit of the active balancing cell of the ionistor consisting of a comparison circuit and a shunt circuit with a key on the MOSFET is presented. The relevance of the problem is confirmed by the results of the analysis of the characteristics of the key MOSFETs at the level of the unlocking voltage of 2.5...2.7 V from the output of the comparison circuit. It is shown that this voltage is not sufficient to provide the channel resistance corresponding to a fully open transistor and the flow of the specified shunt currents in the entire range of external influencing factors (VVF), especially when exposed to a reduced temperature from plus 15 to minus 60 °C. The solution presented in the paper for finalizing the circuit of the active balancing cell is that voltage boost circuits are introduced between the comparison node and the shunt circuit. Their use allows you to increase the voltage at the gate of the key MOSFET by two, three, four, etc. times, which ensures the reliable operation of the shunt circuit key for different shunt currents. A special feature of the developed cell circuits is the three-pole switching, in which an additional output is connected to the adjacent ionistor cell. This method of switching on the developed active balancing cells provides doubling of the unlocking voltage on the gate and is sufficient for reliable unlocking of the key on the MOSFET at all shunt currents at the level of the charging voltage of the ionistors in the storage device 2.5...2.7 V. For shunt currents of the order of tens of amperes, it is shown that it is necessary to switch to a quasi-four-pole switching of the developed active balancing cell due to the separation of the supply power circuits (measuring circuits) of the comparison circuit and the power buses of the level-up circuit with the shunt circuit. The methods of switching on the developed cells that allow multiplying the unlocking voltage at the gate of the key MOSFET by three, four or more times are shown. The schemes and criteria for the necessity of applying such inclusion are given. Practical testing of the developed three-pole and quasi-four-pole active balancing cells, carried out on the ionistor NEE of JSC “Elecond”, showed satisfactory stability and performance under the influence of the entire set of VVF.

The article describes the concept of “performance management” through the audit of personnel; the defi nition of the audit of personnel, taking into account regional characteristics. The materials of the audit of personnel at the Ulan-Ude Aviation plant are presented. The main problem of large enterprises is the cost of personnel, so the main focus of this study is the audit of personnel costs. Staff costs of the organization — generally recognized for countries with market economies, an integral indicator that includes a set of costs associated with the attraction, remuneration, incentives, solving social problems, organization of work and improvement of working conditions of staff , which ultimately aff ects the effi ciency of staff . In this regard, the author analyzed labor indicators and identifi ed methods to reduce personnel costs.

Considering the advance of technologies and methods aimed at improving the quality of management of the asset complex, new requirements for justifying the effectiveness of funds invested in assets are constantly appearing, they are constantly evolving and becoming more viable, which determines the theoretical and practical interest in the issues studied by the authors. The main purpose of the article is to offer methodological developments and recommendations for analyzing the effectiveness of the use of the asset complex by a research and production concern on the basis of financial statements, to identify reserves and give recommendations for more efficient usage of resources. The subject of the research is activities of an enterprise related to the management of the asset complex. In addition to the introduction of new methods of economic analysis, the authors also developed a generalized model for managing the asset complex in the form of a software product. This model was applied to two real research and production complexes, one of which is the largest Federal Research and Production Center Closed Joint Stock Company Research and Production Concern (Association) “Energia”. The developed model can be applied with the purpose of effective management of the asset complex by the largest industrial companies. The results of the research presented in this scientific article will allow specialists to improve the quality of analytical work in the field of economic analysis of enterprise assets and the search for reserves for their effective use.

Subject area Crisis management, Strategic management. Study level/applicability This case study can be used for teaching MBA and pre-experience Masters students as part of a strategic management course. Case overview This case study tells the story of Kirov non-ferrous metals processing plant located in Kirov (USSR, presently the Russian Federation). Founded in 1956, this company had long been one of the USSR's leading manufacturers in the industry of non-ferrous metals processing. The situation changed dramatically in the first half of 1990s. During those years, instead of state-planned economy, Russia saw the formation of market economy. It was the first time when the company (as a result of privatization, it became a joint-stock company with a small number of pure portfolio investment owners) was faced with the need to look for marketing outlets for its products on its own. At the same time, after having been privatized, the company could not receive government investments anymore. Due to all these conditions, in 1995, capacity utilization in this company fell to 16 per cent, and it appeared to be on the verge of bankruptcy. Expected learning outcomes The main learning objectives of the case study are: to develop students' skills to analyze complex managerial situations; to help students in understanding the logic of company's strategic choice, depending on the stage of the market life cycle (especially, in case of mature markets); and to provide the training for the students' ability to justify management decisions using the example of companies in B2B markets. The copper ore processing plant of the Tay Bac Minerals Joint Stock Company has been designed and operated to produce metallic copper from copper sulphide ores and copper oxide ores in Son La province. Copper sulphide ores are processed to produce copper concentrates with content of more than 20% Cu for the next processing stage, while copper oxide ores, with average content of 1÷3% Cu and after grinding, are fed directly into hydrometallurgical processes to extract copper. However, this process requires large amount of chemicals. Therefore, the economic efficiency is not high. The National Institute of Mining - Metallurgy Science and Technology has researched and proposed a reasonable technology process for Son La copper oxide ores for solving difficulties and perfecting the processing technology at the plant that improves economic efficiency and minimizes environmental pollutions. This report presents results of the experimental production research project with the code CNKK.013.19, implemented by the Institute of Materials Science and sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
