The article presents the values of the failure rate for modern types of pumps of four groups: submersible, designed for drainage and wastewater drainage; domestic; cantilever; submersible - for artesian water intake based on statistical data processing on their operation. The obtained values of the failure rate allow us to evaluate the reliability indicators of hydraulic circuits that use various types of pumping equipment. The article analyzes the failures of pumping equipment with their detailed description and presentation of practical photos accumulated at a specialized enterprise, whose activities are aimed at designing pumping stations, supply, installation and maintenance of pumping equipment on the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

Objective: To determine the most failure-prone rolling stock components and assemblies by processing statistical data obtained during operation using the classical reliability theory; to develop recommendations for maintaining the operational state of individual rolling stock components. Methods: Methods for calculating the quantitative reliability characteristics are used based on the rolling stock operational statistical data. Results: The 5-year operational data have been used to provide tabulated statistics on the failure rate of various rolling stock equipment. Reliability indicators have been calculated for various types of rolling stock equipment and the corresponding graphs have been plotted. Based on the calculations, the recommendations for the rolling stock maintenance have been developed. Practical importance: The calculations and the recommendations described determine the types of rolling stock equipment requiring more attention during maintenance

Improving the efficiency of operation of main pumping units is one of the pressing issues of modern practice of operating oil pipelines. The change in pumping capacity leads to a change in the operating modes of pumping equipment. This article proposes a methodology for assessing and improving the efficiency of the operation of oil pipelines based on the rational use of existing pumping equipment of pumping stations.

The article analyzes components that have an impact on electricity consumption in the general water supply and distribution system, in particular those that affect the power consumption of pumping stations of the water supply system. This type of pumping units will only increase, as they are the main component of housing and communal services, which reached us inherited. Currently in housing and communal services, the model of the USSR, pumping equipment is completely worn and requires a replacement. The use of outdated pumps, unsatisfactory state of the water supply network, uneconomically use of water by consumers - are considered as the main factors of electricity loss. The purpose of the article is to attract attention to the problem of excessive use of electricity in the general water supply and distribution system. Possible variations are considered to reduce costs and losses of electricity, namely: rational use of existing landing and networks, introduction of the latest technologies, etc.

The textbook discusses the features of the operation of mining and transport machines in open-pit mining in a cold climate zone, highlights previously unexplored problems of operation of this type of equipment, and describes methods for determining the operational reliability of equipment. The proposed methods of operation are based on the analysis of a significant amount of statistical material on failures of equipment operating at large mining enterprises of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The influence of low temperatures on the reliability indicators and technical and economic results of the operation of mining and transport machines was determined quantitatively and qualitatively. Meets the requirements of the federal state educational standards of higher education of the latest generation. It is intended for students of higher educational institutions studying in the specialty 21.05.04 "Mining", it can also be useful for graduate students, researchers and practitioners specializing in the technical operation of mining and transport machines.

On the basis of modern statistical data it is possible to track the movement of population in the Republic of Srpska. Basically, the work is based on an analysis of the natural movements of the Republic of Srpska since there are no official data for the territory of the Republic of Srpska (1996). The components of the natural movements were observed in the period 1996-2007. The paper discusses methodological changes in statistical data processing performed within a certain period. Particular importance is given to the analysis of individual components that participate in the natural movement of population by age and municipality. From the aspect of the causes that led to changes in the natural movement, the paper discusses the total fertility rate as well as the main factors which influenced the birth/fertility. Comparative analysis of the environment intends to show the kind of situation today the Republic of Srpska population and in the municipalities that are most vulnerable in terms of natural movement. .

In the Kaliningrad region there are about 70 % of all polder lands in Russia. On these lands with high potential fertility, it is advisable to intensive agriculture. The area for the average moisture year is an area with excessive moisture, which indicates the need to maintain the rate of drainage on agricultural land. Many different factors play a role in ensuring the drainage rate, one of which is pumping stations and pumping equipment installed on them. An important parameter in the use of pump-power equipment is energy consumption, since in this industry it is a considerable expense item. Improving the energy efficiency of pumping stations on polders is a pressing issue today. At the majority of polder pumping stations, domestic power pumping equipment is installed with excess power and head of 4–8 meters, and a new one is selected based on the maximum possible head in a given place. In the Kaliningrad region, the energy efficiency of polder pumping equipment has never been analyzed. In this paper, a statistical processing of the geodesic pressure of water at the polder pumping stations of the Slavsk region for 2000–2002 was carried out. On the basis of these data and data on the hydraulic characteristics of pressure pipelines, the calculated water pressures were determined for the rational selection of pumping equipment. The calculation of the economic efficiency of pumps with optimal power compared with pumps of excess capacity. The results of the study can serve as a justification for the transition to the pumping equipment with less power and pressure, which will lead to a decrease in the cost of money for electricity.
