Financial statements play a major role in a company which is used as decision making material and performance benchmarking. A successful company should have a good financial performance. The other way around, a company which does not have a good financial performance would impact on the company success. The study employs a ratio analysis called Du Pont System Analysis in which the analysis often applied to measure financial performance on company. Du Pont System Analysis is a combination of financial ratios from ratio activities and profitability in which the result shows interaction from assets profitability of the company. Object of the study is PT. Indosat Tbk in 2016 – 2018 as a Telecommunication company. There are 3 similiar companies used as a comparison to indicate PT Indosat Tbk position which are PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, PT XL Axiata Tbk, and Smartfren Telecommunication Tbk. The study draws a conclusion that financial performance of PT Indosat Tbk is good compared to the other similiar companies but PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia has the best performance than the other.

The financial report is the most information kursial to control a company. Analysis of the financial statements can provide information about the financial performance of a company or the other organization like Cooperative. The research carried out at the Koperasi Sawit Gunung Sangkur Kinali Kabupaen Pasaman Barat. The purpose of this study is to analyze financial performance in order to determine the development of the financial position at the Koperasi Gunung Sangkur in 2011 to 2014 period on liquidity, solvability and profitability ratio. Methodology of data analysis in this research is quantitative descriptive based on ratio analysis. Data sources are from the financial statements and the other document. The results showed that the financial performance of Koperasi Gunung Sangkur based on liquidity, solvability and profitability ratio are fluctuate from the year to year. This research method uses secondary data from PT Unilever's financial statements in the period 2013 to 2017, the final results of which can be used for decision making for management or outside parties that have a need for the company. The purpose of this analysis is carried out namely as a basis for making relevant decisions so that the company or interested parties have a minimum basis for decision making. The results of this analysis indicate that the company is declared to be less liquid when viewed from the results of liquidity ratio analysis based on theory, but stated either when viewed or compared with other leading companies. The results of the profitability ratio analysis are above the industry average and in practice the company is indeed in a stable condition. To compare with theory and results of conclusions based on practice, so that it can be assessed that companies use funds effectively and can be judged that the company is in good condition.

The measurement of financial performance based solely on balance sheet financial statements and profit and loss is able to provide information on the feasibility of a company on the obligations of external parties and also assets owned by the company. From the results of financial statement analysis using financial ratio analysis of PT. PLN (Persero)Region  Sulutttenggo can evaluate the financial performance of companies that show unfavorable conditions where the value of the liquidity ratio is less stable and even decreases. Whereas the results of the calculation of leverage ratio and profitability ratio show fairly good conditions. Thus, the writer suggest that the management always evaluate in improving the company's financial performance.Keywords : financial statement, financial performance, financial ratios

The financial performance of a company can be interpreted as a good prospect or future, growth and development potential for the company. Financial performance information is needed to assess potential changes in economic resources, which may be controlled in the future and to predict the production capacity of existing resources. By using ratio analysis, based on data from financial statements, it will be possible to know the financial results that have been achieved in the past, to know the weaknesses of the company, as well as the results that are considered quite good.

This study investigates the impact of firm attributes on the financial performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria’s financial sector. The scope of this research covered the period 2007 – 2018 using audited financial statements and reports of nine (9) deposit money banks listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The results revealed that bank liquidity has significant negative effect, while bank growth has insignificant negative effect on financial performance. On the other hand, bank size and leverage have insignificant positive effect on the financial performance of banks. It is recommended that banks should pay attention to liquidity management and use this to enhance performance. Also, the management of banks should endeavor to make use of their growth opportunities optimally.

The formulation of the problem in this research is how the financial performance of Rural Banks (BPR) Dana Raya Manado period 2014-2016. The purpose of research is to know the financial performance of Rural Banks (BPR) Dana Raya Manado period 2014-2016. Data analysis technique used in this study by using bank financial ratios. Based on the results of research on the financial ratios of corporate banks are still experiencing fluctuations. Assessment of the Liquidity of Rural Banks Manado Funds Fund is still able to pay its financial obligations. Assessment of Solvency The Bank has adequate capital. Research Objectives for Analysis of Financial Performance Using Liquidity Ratios on Organizational Performance Case Study at PT JIEP Pulogadung. The method used is the existing financial ratio analysis methods, namely the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2014, and 2015 financial statements. By evaluating through the ratio analysis tool, it is expected to be able to know the progress made by management in running the company. The results of the research show that Cash Ratio partially has a positive and significant effect on Organizational Performance. Current Ratio partially has no significant effect on profit studies. Revenue budget and cost budget simultaneously have a significant effect on profit study.

The competitive advantages of the company’s are mainly determined by the performance. One important aspects of performance is financial aspects which are illustrated in financial statements. However, it is not enough to only assess the financial performance of companies. It required the analysis of financial statements to obtain the whole picture of company’s progress which is can be used by management or other users of financial statements to make decision making. The financial analysis in this research is used Z-Score to determine the company's financial performance more accurately and the health level of cigarettes companies in facing global competition and also dealing with the smoking ban regulations. The research was conducted on three tobacco companies that go public on the Stock Exchange Indonesia, that are PT Bentoel International Tbk., PT. Gudang Garam Tbk., PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk.  Z-Score results showed that PT Bentoel International Tbk in 2008 and 2009 had a poor financial performance and classified as highly vulnerable company, whereas in 2010 the company was in a good performance and healthy condition. Meanwhile, PT Gudang Garam Tbk from 2008, 2009 and 2010 is classified as healthy company. PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk has a good financial performance and categorized as healthy company began in 2008, 2009 to 2010. To conclude, among the three tobacco companies that go public on the Stock Exchange Indonesia, PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk is a company that has the best financial performance and classified as a healthy company.

The financial statements serve as a benchmark in assessing the financial performance of the company as the basis for making business decisions. The motivation in conducting this research is to support previous research to see the development condition of one of the oil palm plantation companies. The purpose of this study is to assess the financial performance by using financial ratio analysis and horizontal analysis. The method used in this research is Quantitative Descriptive with analysis design using Term series Analysis. The result of the research based on financial ratio analysis shows the liquidity ratio and solvency ratio in good condition, while the activity ratio and profitability ratio are not good because it is below the industry average of similar companies. Based on horizontal analysis, financial performance fluctuated and influenced internal and external factors such as operational performance and the average price of world palm oil. The limitations of this study are using only two analytical tools and financial statements analyzed only the balance sheet and income statement.
