The purpose of this study was to develop a rating scale that can be used to evaluate behavior patterns of the organization people pattern of preservice teachers (PSTs). By reviewing the related literature on people patterns, a preliminary scale of 38 items with a five-points likert type was prepared. The number of items was reduced to 29 after obtaining expert opinions and was administered to 620 PSTs. As the results of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, unlike two factors: structurist and free spirits behavior patterns, in the theory, we obtained the final scale of 15 items consisting of three factors: planners, solution-oriented and prescriptive behavior patterns. The related Cronbach Alpha value was found to be .830 for all the items. We identified that behavior patterns rating scale of the organization people pattern can be confidently applied to evaluate behavior patterns. Moreover, in this study, we obtained a contradiction between practice and theory. Thus, we provided a new idea related to behavior patterns of the organization people pattern.

Background and Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine a factor structure for the Impact of Miscarriage Scale (IMS). The 24 items comprising the IMS were originally derived from a phenomenological study of miscarriage in women. Initial psychometric properties were established based on a sample of 188 women (Swanson, 1999a). Method: Data from 341 couples were subjected to confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Results: CFA did not confirm the original structure. EFA explained 57% of the variance through an 18-item, 4-factor structure: isolation and guilt, loss of baby, devastating event, and adjustment. Except for the Adjustment subscale, Cronbach’s alpha coefficients were ≥.78. Conclusion: Although a 3-factor solution is most defensible, with further refinement and additional items, the 4th factor (adjustment) may warrant retention.

Introduction: Autism is a neuropsychiatric disorder. Multiple factors have been identified as causes of autism spectrum disorder. Many studies indicated genetic as the main risk factor, but environmental risk factors are also seen as contributing factors. Exposure to environmental pollutants such as endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) can occur as early as in the mother’s womb. The main concern of EDCs in food packaging are Bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates. The objectives of this study are to develop and validate a questionnaire for the assessment of habitual usage of plastic- based food contact materials (FCM) as a proxy for exposure to this group of EDCs. Material and Methods: The questionnaire developed by organising a focus group discussion among experts. An interview-guided pilot study was then done to 250 respondents for construct validation process. In the validation process, test-retest study for reliability, Cronbach alpha for internal consistency, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were done. Results: The questionnaire achieved kappa value ranged between 0.800 to 0.900 for knowledge, 0.610 to 0.815 for perception and 0.607 to 1.000 for self-care product section. Cronbach alpha value ranged between 0.600 to 0.780. Conclusions: Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis approved the final model for phase one consisting of four domains with total of 13 items and final model for phase two consists of three domains with total of nine items.

This study discussed about work engagement of nurses who experienced work-life imbalance and how the support from supervisor, coworker, organization, and family impacting it. This study aims to examined the moderating effect of social support in relation of work-life imbalance and nurses’ engagement and also evaluate the role of social support’s dimensions. A total of 120 nurses with a diploma in nursing participated in this study. They were working in nursing activities and lived with family as daily basis. The study was using adapted form of UWES-9, Industrial Society’s Work-Life, and CESS questionnaires. Measurement being done with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method and measurement model using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with Lisrel 10.0. Structural model testing showed that work-life imbalance significantly correlated with work engagement (r=-0.24, normed c2<2.00, RMSEA<0.05), and no significant moderating effect of social support was found. Only support from coworker moderated the work-life imbalance and work engagement of nurses (r=0.20, normedc2<2.00, RMSEA<0.05), and neither support from supervisor, organization, and family show any significant correlations as moderating variables. As conclusion, hypotheses was tested and confirmed. The findings showed work-life imbalance negatively correlated with work engagement, and support from coworker can help buffer the impact of imbalanced work-life condition on nurses’ engagement. The other dimensions of social support show no significant correlations.
